sunoo stopped writing on his notebook when he heard the sound of rain.

crap, i forgot my umbrella.

"sunoo, want me to drive you home? since it's raining," daniel looked at him then pointed at the pouring rain outside the window.

"nah i'm good, thanks." sunoo ruffled his best friend's hair.

the parking lot is not that far from this building, but i'm definitely gonna get wet if i just run from here.

he grabbed his phone and texted sunghoon.

sunoo, jungwon, and daniel already went down on the first floor of the building but sunghoon hasn't replied yet.

daniel grabbed his shoulder, making him stop walking.

"are you sure you don't want me to drive you home?"

jungwon made some vomiting noises behind, and then laughed. "yeah sunoo, you sure? daniel's willing to be your driver for today—even everyday."

he just chuckled. "as much as i wanted to have daniel as my driver, i can't. sunghoon already offered to drive me home today."

he caught a glimpse of sadness on daniel's eyes, making him feel bad for the guy. his best friend probably missed hanging out with him.

sunoo linked his arms on daniel's. "how about we hang out on the weekend, hmm? we'll have sleep over at my house."

"promise?" daniel pouted.

he nodded. "promise."

"okay but can you two stop being so gross in front of me? my eyes will rot." jungwon rolled his eyes.

"aww are you jealous?" daniel laughed.

"eww no, how about you? i know you-hmmph!" jungwon stopped speaking when daniel covered his mouth.

sunoo is just laughing while watching them kill each other.

after a few minutes, the two decided to go home, leaving only sunoo—who is still patiently waiting for the rain to stop.

his phone suddenly rung so he picked it up, seeing sunghoon's name as the caller.

"sunghoon?"

"hey, sunoo. uhh.. i'm really sorry but some emergency came up so i already left. is it okay for you to go home alone?"

oh.

"don't worry about it, my classmate is still here so i'll go with him. take care," sunoo bit his lower lip.

"oh, okay. that's good. take care.."

sunoo ended the call and sighed. it's okay, he can just ride a cab. it's not like he can't go home without the guy.

dammit. but why do i feel like i just got stood up and rejected? i'm so stupid. we're just friends.

he groaned and brushed his hair. the bus stop is not that far, so sunoo decided to just walk and get wet from the rain.

putting his hoodie on, he ran outside the building, not minding the rain.

hopefully i won't catch a cold after this.

the bangs on his hair were already wet so he couldn't see anything in front of him—and suddenly, he bumped into someone.

"oh shit, sorry about that—"

"are you nuts?" sunoo looked up just to see nishimura riki frowning at him, while holding an umbrella in one hand.

"why are you still here? where's sunghoon? shit, look at you," ni-ki sighed and put his arm on sunoo's shoulder, guiding him so that he's covered by the umbrella.

sunoo gulped, ignoring ni-ki's gesture. "my class just ended, and sunghoon had some emergency."

the two started walking. ni-ki is holding the umbrella while his arm was on sunoo's shoulder, so they could fit under the small umbrella.

"huh. so long story short, he left you here."

"he did not! i told you there was an emergency. how about you, why are you still here?" sunoo asked. he noticed that almost all the buildings are closed, and there's no students left.

"i'm bored, so i practiced some dance routine." ni-ki stared at him.

"o-oh. okay."

the two just kept walking, listening to the drops of the rain.

"do you like dancing?" sunoo decided to break the awkward silence.

ni-ki pursed his lips. "i guess? i dance everytime i'm not busy. at this point it became a hobby."

"well, you're great at dancing...."

ni-ki smiled when he saw sunoo avoid his gaze after saying that. how can a person look so innocent and cute at the same time?

"how about you?"

"hmm? what about me?" sunoo replied, reaching his hand out of the umbrella to feel the raindrops. they're near the parking lot now.

"do you like park sunghoon?"

sunoo stopped walking when he heard the question.

do i like park sunghoon? of course. i've been crushing on him since i was a freshman.

but...

why can't i say it? why can't i say it in front of him?

"hey, you good? sorry if i asked that. just, don't answer it," ni-ki interrupted. he cursed mentally, he's such an idiot for asking that.

of course he likes him. i guess i really don't stand a chance, huh.

"actually, i—" sunoo stopped talking when ni-ki pulled him closer to him. his face is now just inches apart from the other.

"your shoulder is getting wet," ni-ki said. when he turned to stare at sunoo, his heart nearly jumped when their eyes met.

they both averted the gaze at the same time. sunoo cleared his throat, ignoring the weird feeling again.

i think i just caught a cold.
