Chapter 6

Lucas. P.o.v.

Time flew by and she fell asleep Chatting with me... I can't believe we chatted for four hours.. It's the longest conversation I  have ever had.. Well it's her who talked most of the time still.. I never get bored even once.. Her doe eyes moving here and there while she was talking animatedly that goddamn smile.. I can look at them forever..

I stood up and carried her to the room it's like I am raising two kids now... I laid her down on the bed, This bedsheet.. Where is that large bedsheet.. ?

I entered into my walk in closet and then I realised how much my house changed in just one day.. Everywhere I turn it's colorful..

My closet looked smaller after adding sia and austin's stuffs in it .. I opened a drawer and took out a huge blanket and then I walked outside, my house seemed new cause thier stuffs are everywhere.. In the hall, kitchen, entrance.. I walked inside the bedroom even this place which I use only to sleep seemed different.. The dark room looked bright with these two sleeping peacefully.. I never thought my house would be a place where peace resides..

I laid beside her as I covered us with bedsheet.. I tilted my head to Check on austin who is sleeping beside her in his crib..

These guys completely changed my room. In one day.. And i thought It would feel super awkward to sleep in my room, I thought I should sleep on another room .. But.. Strangely I feel warm.. Everything feels like a dream..

I hurriedly did everything without thinking much.. But that act really changed my life upside down.. Until yesterday I was just a single guy but today.. I have a wife and even a son.

Haah.. Life really is full of unexpected things... When I was lying down staring at the ceiling wondering about how my life changed so fast.. I felt something warm and looked down to see her hand on my chest.. Warmth spread throughout my body and I felt so peaceful my eyes slowly shut itself and I slept without pills for the first time..

I felt something patting my face.. I slowly opened my eyes to see austin sitting beside me.. Tapping me with his small hands Making sounds..

"baa.. Baa."

He babbled as he Continued to tap me... I got up and he giggled...

My son has such a beautiful smile like his mom,  then He started playing with his toy which are all over the bed.. I never thought I would woke up to see my bed full of toys.. I got up and went to shower.. When I came out covering myself only with a towel  sia was standing there looking perplexed..

"sia.. What happen..?" I asked and she stared at me silently..

------Athy's. P. O. V. - - - - - -

wow.. How long it has been.? since I saw this masterpiece.. His body is a piece of work.. Look at those fine muscles... Even his wet hair is so hot..

"hey.. Sia.." he called

Sia.. Yeah.. Last night..when we were having a chat

"Athanasia.. What's your name means..?" he asked leaning his head on his palm which he placed  on  the back of the couch.

"it means eternal.. My mom gave me this name.." I said..

"hmm.. It's a nice name.. Sia.." he said.. I was surprised

" that's new.. Everyone calls me athy.." I said and he smiled.. A small but heart throbing smile.

"I like sia.. So I will use that" he said since then everytime he calls me sia my heart skips a beat.. Wait.. Come to your senses athy.. You stupid.

"lucas.." I blurted his name trying to come out of my thoughts

"hmm..?" he hummed tilting his head.. Stop staring at him athy.. It's his fault looking like a eyecandy first thing in the morning..

"your.. Your grandpa is here" I said finally what I wanted to say and his eyes wided in shock.. He tilted his head and looked outside..

Yeah his grandpa was outside when I opened the door as I heard the calling bell sound.. I was quite shocked at first cause I only saw him appearing on some business magazines.. It's my first time meeting him.. I greeted him as I invited him inside.. He looked so serious..

"um..grandpa would  you like to have something.?".

Oh my God.!! Athy you stupid why did you called him grandpa.? Yeah that's what I usually call a  old man  but he isn't some ordinary old man .. I cursed myself for that, but to my surprise he smiled at me..

" a black coffee please "he said smiling.. Thank goodness..!! I thought he would be mad..

I went and made a black coffee.. When I gave it to him he gestured me to sit.. I Sat on the couch opposite to his.. And he slowly sipped the black coffee.. He looked around the house then at me.. Then my hand then again at my face ... I was so nervous as I sit there like I am attending an interview..

"so you are my grand daughter in law huh..? Do you know how shocked I was when I heard that lucas was already married and even has a child..? "

As soon as he finished his sentence austin started crying..

"hmm.. Can I..?" I asked as i stood up and he nodded a yes...

" Bring that little brat to me " he said.. I hurried inside the room and saw lucas was already up and in the bathroom I carried austin in my arm and he  stopped crying.. I took him Outside and gave him to grandpa.. I expected austin to cry but he was so calm playing with his tie..

" he looks exactly like lucas..."he said patting his head and austin looked up at him and smiled.

" I guess his  character is like you.. Such a good child "he said smiling at him.

Wait. Is he saying I am good..?!! Who knows.?

" where is your husband...? "he asked.

Huh..? Oh yeah... I have a husband now.. I thought as I looked at the direction of our room.

" That trouble maker kid.. He usually make trouble and give me headache but this was the most shocking  thing he ever did.. How can he hide his family like this..?!! " grandpa started scolding him.

"go and bring him to me.." he said irritated.. Lucas, i think you are done , he looks furious ..

coming back to present...

lucas sighed as he rushed to the walk in wardrobe and came out dressed in white plain t shirt and black shorts..

"oh.. You finally came huh..?" his grandpa asked.

Lucas walked towards him and sighed.

"OK.. I am sorry I didn't tell you but you know why i did it.." he said ruffling his hair..

" hmm.. I know.. I was just disappointed at you.. That you hide something this big from me and you hurt my feelings, remember that.."

he said getting up carrying austin.. Austin held out  his hands towards lucas so he  took austin from grandpa..

" I wanted to tell you. But there is no way I can tell you without them knowing until you are here that's  why.. "he said in a more calm tone than before.

" but I came to Korea two to three times last year.. "

his grandpa said in a disappointed tone.. I think I understand what's going on now.. It's all because lucas also didn't know this until now.. So it's basically my fault..

Grandpa was about to leave and lucas wasn't in the mood to convince him. I followed grandpa to the entrance dragging lucas with me. .

"grandpa.. Wait.." I said and he stopped walking and turned back.

"we are really sorry.." I said bowing down.. Lucas stared at me surprised.. I pulled his t shirt and he finally bowed down beside me.. Since he is holing austin.. austin squealed thinking we are playing..

Grandpa stared at us for a while then he walked towards us..

" stand straight" he said and we looked up at him. He stared at me for a while then smiled.

"grandpa we are really sorry please  forgive us this one time.." I said with puppy eyes and grandpa chuckled.. Thank God.. He was convinced.

"OK.. I forgive him only for you.." he said and I smiled at him.

"thank you grandpa" I said and he nodded his head..

" let's go inside and talk.. I may have forgiven him but I won't talk to this jerk"

He said as he placed  his hand on my shoulder and we walked inside chatting.. Lucas stood there still looking surprised..

Grandpa left after chatting with me for a while with breakfast.

"I will get going.." he said putting on his shoes.

"please come often grandpa" I said and he chuckled happily.

"of course I would.."

he said and went outside.. Lucas walked behind him till the entrance.. They seemed to finally talked before grandpa get on the car...

"did he talk to you..?" I asked lucas who walked inside.. He nodded a yes smiling..

"yeah , thanks to you " he said coming  inside.

"what's there to  thank me..?! I was the reason  you got scolded, I am sorry lucas " I said  and he turned back  and smiled at me..

"sia.. Always  remember this.. You did nothing wrong.. And sorry if he surprised you... I don't know why he came back soon he was supposed to come in winter "  

he mumbled  adjusting my bangs .. I nodded my head without knowing myself.. Whenever our proximity increases, I feel like I am malfunctioning.. He walked inside deep in thoughts.

'I don't know why it changed..? Why did he came back three months  earlier.? In the past since he wasn't here I was able to manage both my work and these two separately.. But this time he arrived earlier than before that's why I changed to plan b.. That is making the rumour true by marrying her.. Haah.. I don't know anymore, my head hurts ' lucas thought as he went to the room. . . .

Day started as usual and lucas went to work, I and Austin was alone in this huge house and its so boring.. I thought he would tell me to stop going for concerts which  I would have never listened to but he said just to be careful.. And for austin he told me we can share responsibilities and I shouldn't leave him on daycare alone anymore..

I am a bit concerned about  that  so I decide to only do concerts and I left my job in music school so I have plenty of time with austin.. I am so happy about that..

I prepared breakfast for austin and played with him for some time.. Helly will come in  the evenings and  like that my days here went on and it's already been a week.. Lucas is always busy.. Sometimes he work even all night..

He talk so less but he really show his care through actions like when we we need something it will be there the next moment.. Like now...  I told him I like flowers during our usual random conversation   last night and now a whole garden set up got delivered in front of our house.. At  times  like this, I got reminded I married a rich guy and it's overwhelming  how he always took every word  I say into consideration and do things to make us happy...

I never thought I would get married to lucas and he would be this caring towards us..  he don't talk much and his cold attitude is misleading but he is surpringly a warm person..!!

Austin really got attached to him  in no time and I sometimes feel guilty that I didn't give him the  chance  to bond with his dad until now.. Sometimes grandpa visit and spend some time with us.. It's so much pressure for me.. Since he was a bit  strict but lucas nonchalantly told me not to care about him.. And he really do.. He rarely speak with him and always try to avoid him..

I think something big happened in their family.. He rarely talk and if he did , he never talks about his family.. He  told me to inform him whenever someone from his family visit us .

Today I attended a concert and took austin from helly 's home... It's a relief she was at home today.. When I entered the house.. Stella took her leave.. Stella  is our maid  .. She can't talk but she is a good girl since I know sign language it's easy to communicate with her..

When I put austin to sleep and flopped on the couch after a refreshing bath.. It was a hectic day.. I wanted to have a hot choco and relaxing music.. But fate had different plans for me.

I heard the calling bell and opened the door to see a woman standing there with a stoic face.. She had dark mahogany brown hair and purple eyes.. She must be in her fifties still  She was pretty for her age  I don't know  who she is but anyways i let her inside..

She looked  around the house and Sat on the couch cross legged.. She stared at  me from top to bottom and then clicked her tongue. Seriously what's her problem..?!!

"you know who I am  Right...?" she asked as I Sat in front of her.. It's my  house after all..

"sorry but I don't.." I said and I clearly saw a twitch mark on her face.

"I am Rebecca blackford lucas 's mom... So your mother in law." she said in a proud tone

"I see.. Nice to meet you, I am Athanasia"

I said smiling but I really don't like her and lucas never told me he has a mom... Is he that mad  at her..?!! Well.. He did told me to call him if  someone come ..

I was about to call him but she suddenly snatched my phone.. Wow..!! She is not normal...

" what..? Already calling your husband..? What did you do to seduce him that he even started a family with you..?!! You must be so smart  to be able to have that arrogant brat in your palms" she said scoffing..

" OK.. So can I know why did you come here..?" I asked in irritating tone. I can't stand her anymore.

"Oh my !! look at you.. The audacity you have to talk to  elders like this" she said clearly looking irritated . Since I didn't replied she continued

" after hearing everything, I just got curious about you.. heh..!! I wondered who was more wicked than me to win over that arrogant brat lucas.. You look so innocent on the outside but look at your plan..." she said tilting her head smirking .. I don't know if she is trying some villainess mannerism or what the hell is this.. But this is too cringey.. !!

" yeah   I know I am beautiful and smart .. Is your doubts cleared ..? Can  you please leave..?  "

I asked smiling and I can feel her getting frustrated. And that's it.. I shouldn't have said anything she started babbling some nonsense and it's already half an hour now.. My God..!! What the hell  did she eat to have this much energy..? !! Is this how it feels like to experience mother in law torture.?!!

I heard our door opening with bang sound to see lucas standing there panting.. Why did he came home earlier today..?!!  Wait.. Why is he  panting and.. Look Furious..?!! he walked inside and as soon as she saw lucas..she froze  from shock.. May be fear yeah because I am also  scared... I never saw him looking this furious before and I am getting chills . The whole  atmosphere  around us is so stuffy..

"get out.."

he said , I can see how tight his jaw is.. She stared at  him fuming in anger . Wow !! this  feel  like a old wolf  and young  wolf is fighting...talk  about the aura. !!

"Is this how you greet your mother lucas ..?" 

she asked folding her hands. Now his aura changed from anger to  murderous

"haah.. Do  I have to  kick you out myself..?" he asked with a smirk and jesus..!! This guy is so scary when he is angry..!!

" lucas.. You.. What the hell are you doing letting a wench like her become a blackford..?!!" she shouted.  Excuse me.? What..?! I got so mad  but not more than lucas I think..

"  say one more word  about my wife.. And that will be your last words .. "

he said clenching his fist.. It's so scary but I felt touched.. I can say just by this aura around him how dangerous he can get when he get  pissed off  but  I never felt that around him even once.. Cause even in this scary atmosphere his words kept  ringing in my  ears and I am struggling to not smile now.. did i have gone crazy?!!
