CHAPTER 27

"Jace, did you do what I asked for?" Magnus asked as he walked into the living room.

"Yeah I did...but none of the sources found where Robert disappeared to..." Jace said handing over of a file to Magnus.

"Looks like he just vanished into thin air..." Magnus said going through all the documents. "What do you think happened?"

"I have no idea..." Jace said shaking his head.

"Should we inform Luke about this? They were close friends right?" Magnus asked.

"Yeah they were...but don't you think this is good...the trouble's all gone..." Jace said.

"But Jace...whatever happens he's Alexander's father...Alexander never let go of my dad even though he was rude to him...I don't want to give up...I want to find what actually happened and what is really going on..."

Jace nodded agreeing with Magnus.

"And Jace...I wanted to talk to you about Alexander...not that I'm complaining, but he's been acting strange lately...more clingy and his personality seem to have changed..."

Jace laughed. "What do you mean?"

"for the last 3 days he has not been himself...I don't understand how to explain but has this ever happened to him before?" Magnus asked.

"No never..." Jace said still laughing "I think he wants your attention..."

"Yeah...maybe"

"or maybe go straight to him and ask him..." Jace said with a wink and stood up "I'll get going, have some work to do" he said and waved goodbye.

"Alexander I'm home" Magnus said removing the top button of his shirt. "Alexander what on earth are you doing?" Magnus said in an alarmed voice seeing Alec singing in the living rom throwing popcorn all over.

"Singing..." he said while jumping up and down.

Magnus was confused with his behaviour "Are you drunk? Let me see..." he said coming closer and grabbing Alec's arm and smelling him. "I don't smell any alcohol..." he said.

"I didn't drink silly...I'm just enjoying...enjoying life...come baby" Alec said grabbing Magnus's hand and climbing on the couch. "Let's dance" he said jumping on the couch.

Magnus was shocked at the same time confused about Alec's behaviour.

"What's gotten into you lately?" he asked from Alec.

"Nothing love...just thought of enjoying life..." Alec said smiling. "Come let's dance" Alec said putting his arm around Magnus's waist.

Magnus couldn't say no so he went with the flow.

I've never see him this way... Magnus thought while dancing. But he didn't want to think much about it because he was happy seeing Alec happy.

2 more days passed and Alec's behaviour was getting weirder and weirder.

"Alexander...Hayley said that you weren't at the meeting today..." Magnus asked when he got home.

"I didn't feel like going..." Alec replied.

"Baby are you sick? Are you running a fever again?" Magnus asked keeping his hand on Alec's forehead.

"No..." he replied staring at his phone, he was playing games on the phone.

"Alexander what's wrong with you then? Is everything okay? You can talk to me?" Magnus said holding Alec's hand.

"I'm fine Magnus" he said.

"Hmm...but I feel like something is wrong...you know that you can tell me anything right?" Magnus said touching his cheek.

Alec suddenly pushed Magnus's hand away and shouted "I said I'm fine..." and stood up and walked to his room.

Magnus was hurt. Alec has never pushed him away like that before. "There's something wrong with you Alexander...and I'm going to find what it is..." he said to himself.
