Chapter 8 - An Unexpected Kiss

Dipper's POV

"Oh no! Wendy run!" I held her hand and we run to the deepest part of the cave, running away from the darts that are from the trap that are trying to shoot us.

Why did I told her to come to a dangerous mission like that? We could have just escaped this situation if I just told her to come on a descent date like a normal person but no, I had to make up excuses to just hang out with me. I really like her and whether I accept it or not, I'm desperate to just hang out with her.

We're still running but a dart still slipped through my right arm. It stings real bad but I'm still alright. I should clean that up later but all that matters most now is that Wendy's alright.

The darts finally stops shooting and blasting at us. And minutes later, we found the crystal on a table made of earth.

The crystal is small and a light blue color. It's shining and I assume it will be fragile so I think we have to be careful of picking it up.

And also because as I've seen in some movies relating to our situation, when you pick up the treasure, a trap always appear. I don't want anymore trouble. One more mistake and maybe Wendy will never talk to me again.

I'm thinking of a way on how to carefully pick it up. Not setting any trap and whatnot. I have to be careful with this.

"Dipper, the crystal.." She said and she picked it up! Oh no!

"No Wendy there's maybe a.." Spoke too soon. Another trap just turned on.

"Trap." I finished my words. The ground begins to shake and in the blink of an eye, it starts to crack.

Wendy and I didn't hesitate to run away. We ran as fast as we can.

"Uhh.. Not again." Wendy groaned. I was confused on what she said but then I realized that she walked on another trap. Again! The darts again? Really? The earthquake happening now is really stressing but another trap? Gosh!

I don't blame her. It's not her fault. It's all the stupid traps that were basically all over the place.

The ground is still shaking, making it very difficult to run away from the cave but it didn't stop us. And because an earthquake plus shooting darts equals trouble. We just have to run away.

"Wendy come on!" I said then held her hand and run again.

I looked behind if the darts aren't going to shoot us anymore. And turns out, it's still going.

My eyes widened when a dart is going to shoot Wendy. I leaped over Wendy to dodge the dart.

It was unexpected when her lips met mine.
