Been a Long Time (Cont.)

Lorelei's POV

It's been 8 months since I left our apartment. It's been 8 months since we last talked... properly. We talk sometimes ofcourse but it's only when necessary. Then after that we choose to ignore each other again. True to his words, he let me go that time. He let me leave without saying anything. He just went to his room and locked his door when it's time for me to leave. Though sometimes I can feel that he wants to talk to me but in the end he'll choose to go on the other way. I don't know if I'll be glad that he's doing me a favor or be sad that we grew apart.

The first month of being here is hard. Although I can live alone, I still don't know how to cook so most of my food is from different fast food chain or restaurant I decide to eat. Alistair actually insist that he could share his food with me pero nakakahiya naman kung aaraw arawin ko ang paghingi diba? Bukod sa pag prito wala pa din akong alam lutuin. Hindi gaya sa dati kong tirahan na dadalhan kami ni Tita Martha ng ulam.

I heaved a long sigh. I should stop thinking about the past now. That's it. We can never turn back the time. The least we can do is to live in our present and prepare for our future.

"And that's it, I hope you learned something today. Goodbye class." My professor said before leaving our class.

I slightly stretched my arms and massaged my neck because I felt so stiff earlier from my little throwback. I stand up and walk out of our room when my phone vibrated. I fished my phone out of my pocket and open it.

Luthor:See you later. I'll pick you up, alright?

I replied, "Sure. See you." then I continued walking to go home. The condo unit I stayed in isn't far from here neither near. You still have to ride a jeep to go home.

---After I finished dressing up and doing a little make up, I look at myself in the mirror. This is enough. I don't really put heavy make up even when I attend some gatherings for the reason that I just don't like. It's time consuming and I don't know how to do it.

I was about to get my bag when my phone beep.

Luthor:I'm here.

Me: I'm preparing to go downstairs now.

I walked out of my unit and waited for the elevator when it opened I found my best friend, Al inside.

I smiled at him and said "Hey."

"Hi. I'm wondering earlier why Luthor was outside but now I know why. You going somewhere?" He said while grinning.

"Oh. Don't think of anything. We'll just going to their house and visit Tita Fridge."I said dismissing what's running inside his pretty head.

"Hmm... is that so? Then alright, just take care." He said then leave while still smiling.

"Yup, thanks." I clicked the down button then waited.

After going outside the building, I immediately saw a man standing outside of a black SUV. Ofcourse that's not Luthor, that's their family driver.

"Mr. Vasquez, good to see you again."I said when I'm already in front of them.

"Good to see you too, Ms. Lorelei." He replied while he opened the door for me.

"Good evening, Lorelei." Luthor said as soon as I went inside the car.

"Hey, good evening." I kissed his cheeks for formality and he did the same to me.

The car drove to their house. It's a quiet ride. Sometimes we talk about what happened to each other for the past days or weeks. How's life and that's it. When we arrived at their mansion, Mr. Vasquez opened the door for Luthor while one of their bodyguards also opened the door for me.

"I told mom I have a surprise for her. Let's go and see them." Luthor walk first and then I followed him from behind. As soon as he saw his mom, he greeted her and said "Hey mom, I have a surprise for you."

Luthor stepped aside and gestured me.

"Lori? Oh my god. I've missed you so much. How come you didn't visit me again huh?" She said while hugging me.

But before I could even answer her my eyes landed on a pair of dark orbs, looking at me with no expression on his face. He's still the same. Still that cold hearted and arrogant man I confessed to before. I stilled a little.

"Hey, Its been a long time." He said.
