ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  Thankfully there was no all out brawl going on between Kat and Maddy when Adaline entered the bathroom. She was expecting to see fists flying and hair being pulled. Instead she was surprised to see Maddy sitting calmly on the counter across from the two other girls.

"I just wanna know why?" Maddy finally broke the silence as Adaline leaned against the counter beside her. "Why are you suddenly on her side?"

"Because I know what it's like to have everyone against you." Kat replied referring to the time her and Maddy got into the huge fight at the Howard's house.

"You're not the only one who's experienced that Kat." Maddy rolled her eyes.

"I just want us all to be friends." The short haired girl explained.

"That'll never happen." Adaline broke her silence.

"Why?"

"You seriously need to ask me that?" She scoffed looking at Cassie.

"I know I fucked up Addie." The blonde mumbled not looking the Kingston girl in the eye.

"I will never be able to trust you again. You literally tried to steal my boyfriend while I was pregnant." Adaline ranted. "I would have never fucking done that to you Cassie. I mean seriously how could you do that to me after everything we've been through together?"

"I don't know!" She cried.

"I was there for you during your lowest and that's how you repay me? You try to steal my fucking boyfriend?"

"I'm sorry." Cassie didn't know what else she could say.

"Yeah. Me too." The brunette said ending the conversation.

"Do you know what's funny? Nate told me he wanted nothing to do with me with right after it happened." Cassie decided to speak after a few moments of silence. She sighed sadly as she held the cold can of soda to her bruised nose. "I never had a chance with him."

"Is that supposed to make me feel bad for you?" Adaline asked staring daggers at her ex friend.

Just when she thought Cassie was finally starting to understand that she was in the wrong.

"No?" She stated but it sounded more like a question.

"You're unbelievable." The Kingston girl shook her head moving off of the counter. "I'm done."

"Addie." Maddy said going to grab her friend but the brunette shrugged her off.

"I need to get home to Aurora, Nate and I's daughter." She said looking directly at Cassie before turning back to Maddy. "I'll call you later Mads."

"She's never going to forgive me." Cassie sighed.

"What did you expect?" The Perez girl rolled her eyes.

"She can't stay mad at you forever." Kat said hopefully.

"Please, you're lucky she only hit you twice." Maddy laughed. "That was just the beginning."

The Howard girl sat on the counter practically shaking with fear as she thought about all the possible things Adaline could do to get back at her.

She knew how vindictive the brunette could be. And it certainly didn't help that she had Maddy to help her. Together the two were dangerous.

It didn't take long for Adaline to get home. The first thing she did was rush up to Aurora's room to check on her. Her little bundle of joy was wearing an adorable fluffy pink onesie as she slept in her crib.

All of Adaline's anger seemed to disappear as she watched her daughter sleep. She realized that no amount of pain or anger from the Cassie situation compared to the joy she felt just being near her baby.

"How was the rest of the play?" Nate asked startling the brunette.

Adaline sighed as she continued to stare down at their sleeping daughter, who laid peacefully still in her crib. She was still calm but there was a little pang of annoyance that hit her as remembered that Nate basically abandoned her at the play.

"I punched Cassie in the face." She replied not bothering to look up at him. "Twice."

"Damn." Nate chuckled moving to stand behind her. He smiled softly as he observed his daughter over the girl's shoulder.

"What did you do after you stormed off?" The girl wondered.

"I turned my dad into to police." The Jacobs boy mumbled quietly. He was still trying to decide if he had made the right decision.

"What?" The Kingston girl exclaimed finally turning to look at him. "Are you being serious?"

"Yeah." Nate nodded looking down at the ground. "I gave them his tapes and everything. They picked him up at his one construction sites. I knew he'd be hiding there so I went and got him to confess for the cops."

"Shit, Nate." Adaline sighed looking at him sadly. She knew that was probably super hard for him to do. The Jacobs family had a very difficult time excepting that they weren't perfect.

It had to have been tough for Nate to not only admit to himself that his family was fucked up but to the police as well. That was huge for him. He had to have known that it was only a matter of time before the whole town knew.

"Why did you do that?" She asked after a moment of silence.

"I didn't want someone like him to be around Aurora." The boy replied finally looking at Adaline. "I want to be better for you both. I knew I couldn't do that if I continued to carry around his secret."

"Wow." The brunette mumbled still in shock. "I just can't believe you did that. Are you okay?"

"I will be." Nate smiled leaning down and placing a gentle kiss on Adaline's forehead. "All I need is you and Aurora."

"It's going to take time." Adaline said after a moment. She had to think over her words carefully. "I love you but I can't just pretend like nothing happened."

"I know." The boy nodded brushing a piece of hair out of her face. "I'll wait for you as long as it takes."

______________________________So that's the end.....

For now at least.

I'm excited to see what season 3 has in store and how I can possibly work Adaline into it.

I'm not sure if I'll be doing any chapters between now and season 3 but we'll see.

I also hope you guys don't hate me for this ending.

I know it's not like a picture perfect ending where they're back together and everyone lives happily ever after but this feels more realistic to me.
