The "Speech"

Pierson, Andrew and Lexi all stepped outside to go onto the boat. Everyone was already waiting, Brent in the front seat to drive. Lexi and Brent used to go all the time to their grandparents lake house so he'd had some practice. They started the boat, Lexi, Andrew, and Dom in the back. Pierson sat in the seat next to Brent, her flirty looks never going unnoticed. Emma, Jeremy and Brianna sat in the front, all looking bitter.

Brianna had obviously told Emma the whole thing but she twisted the words a lot. She made it seem like she actually had a huge crush on Andrew and that they kissed but the next day he switched up and went with Lexi. She completely left out the part where she and Jeremy lied and the part where she was just doing this whole thing to make other people want her more. She didn't care how Andrew felt at all about her little bet with him, she just wanted people to see that she could make anyone fall in love with her, even the new kid who knew nothing about her.

Lexi and Andrew were splitting both friends groups apart and as much as they hated it, it really showed who their real friends were.

Brent drove out to a calm part of the lake and turned off the engine. Everyone jumped off the boat doing all sorts of twist. Andrew canon balled and made a huge splash over Lexi. She splashed him back and they began swimming after eachother, laughing. In the middle of the water fight Lexi made a pouty face and Andrew stopped to see what was wrong. She looked around and saw that everyone else was on the other side of the boat.

She wrapped her legs and arms around Andrew and kissed him. Their kiss was a slow burn, one that gradually made Andrew crave her more and more. Around the corner, Dom was there, smiling as he watched his friend with the girl he'd always talked about. He swam back to give them their privacy but he couldn't hide the smirk on his face.

They pulled apart and smiled in silence for a second. "I love you Lex." Andrew said, holding her back. "I love you too Andrew." Lexi could feel her cheeks turning red and Andrew's cheeks followed suit. They swam back to where everyone was, the only difference was that Dom could finally sense the underlying tension between Lexi and Andrew. After discovering them, Dom had realized how many touches and stolen glances he hadn't noticed before.

They drove back towards the middle of the lake and began tying up a giant tube to the back of the boat. It was the flat ones that could fit two people. They were meant to be dragged by the boat and to try and get the people on the inflatable off. The first people were Brent and Pierson, this time Brianna drove. She was able to control the boat based off some basic information her parents and grandparents had taught her. Plus this was simple, just drive straight.

Pierson and Brent both got flung off not even 30 seconds later. Lexi and Andrew decided to go next but since Brent was wet Brianna drove. They got on the tube and layed flat, holding on as tight as they could. As they went, Lexi noticed how much faster she went for their turn and how she would suddenly make sharp movements. But that was the point of the game right?

Lexi flew off and as Brianna made another one of her sharp turns the tube came back and hit Lexi hard. It wasn't enough to knock her out but it definitely disoriented her. She was trying to swim in the water while fighting the pounding in her head. Eventually, her body subconsciously gave up and she froze in the middle of the lake, slowly sinking. Immediately after Lexi got flung off Andrew laughed, but as it came back and hit her he knew he had to do something.

He got up and threw himself in the water with no hesitation. He swam to Lexi who at this point had closed her eyes and stopped trying. He picked her up and carried her, swimming towards the boat. But Brianna didn't stop, she kept going, pretending like she didn't see them fly off.

Andrew knew what Brianna was trying to do and he dragged Lexi onto a nearby buoy. He sat, watching the boat go off in the distance. I guess no one saw them. 2 minutes later, the boat appeared, finally coming back for them. Andrew looked at Lexi, she still hadn't woken up. A big red, slap-like mark on her forehead reminding Andrew of why she was even in this state.

Andrew was furious at Brianna, what did she think that was going to do? The boat came around and everyone went silent as they saw Lexi passed out. Brianna still had that horrible smirk on her face, Andrew wanted to punch her so bad right now. They all helped pull Lexi and Andrew up.

"Brianna what the hell was that for?" Andrew asked putting on his death stare. "What do you mean?" Brianna replied as if she was clueless. "Oh stop with the bullshit Brianna. I've only known you for a few weeks and you've already made me want to beat the crap out of you. You could've severely hurt Lexi all because of your pettiness. You should seriously learn how to be a better person." Andrew yelled, steam practically coming out of his ears.

Everyone had mixed reactions, Dom and Pierson couldn't help but smile at Andrew snapping. Finally someone put Brianna in her place. Even Emma let a smile slip, she'd wanted to stand up to Brianna countless times but she never had the guts to. Brent was confused but ultimately knew Andrew was right and that Lexi was way more important than the way Brianna treated her. Jeremy looked like he was about to blow. His veins popped out his neck, why was he so mad?

Then he stood up, "Andrew just sit down! No one wants to listen to your crap! Brianna was just doing what she was supposed to do. You come here as the new kid and think you're all that but you're not okay? So we don't care if you have a thing for Lexi just keep it to yourself!"

Andrew just laughed to himself, he knew Jeremy was only mad that Andrew had Lexi. Brianna then got angrier at Andrew not really caring, "I bet everyone else here thinks you're wrong right guys? Raise your hand if I'm right." Only Jeremy raised his hand. "Look Brianna, you are my friend and I mean that but knowingly hurting Lexi was going too far." Emma said in a shy voice.

Dom and Pierson knew that if they spoke right now that it would make things way worse so they stayed quiet. "Whatever. Andrew just know that you really didn't have to do all this and that this is a really bad look on you. You need to fix whatever this is." Brianna said, making as bitchy of a face as she could.

Andrew laughed again, ready to end this argument, "Hm well a lot of things aren't a good look on you either Brianna. Like lying to Lexi about us sleeping together? Oh and Jeremy thanks for planning that with Brianna you're a great friend." In between Andrew's "speech" they tried to cut him off but he kept going.

"I really don't understand what you guys want. You want to hurt Lexi? Do you want to hurt me? To me this is so unbelievable that you guys can even act like this to people they call friends." Andrew said, sitting by Lexi and placing her head on his lap. He stroked her hair and watched as Jeremy and Brianna had no words left to say.

Andrew looked down at Lexi who was facing him and saw her wink. She had been awake the whole time...
