Hurt and Betrayed

Lexi woke up early in the morning with a familiar smell on her clothes. It smelled like...Andrew! Was he with her last night, how come she didn't remember. She called Andrew after brushing her hair and doing her skin care but he didn't answer. She left a text for him.

Lexi- Hey Andrew what happened last night?

She go no reply. For hours she was still left on delivered, confused and hurt. But I mean Andrew had his own life right? Maybe he was just busy.

Andrew called up Brianna as soon as he woke up, still hurt at the fact that Lexi had a boyfriend.

"Hey Brianna, I know this is random but do you want to hang out today?" Brianna smiled, knowing that somehow she had Andrew wrapped around her finger. "Yeah of course! Where should we go?" Andrew thought for a second, "Maybe the movies because last night we didn't really get to finish the movie." Brianna suggested. "Ooh okay good idea. I'll pick you up at 3?" Andrew said, still unsure if this was the right choice. "Yeah sounds good, I'll send my address!"

Andrew sat, waiting till the clock turned 3, not feeling motivated to get ready like how he normally did. He had a missed call and a message from Lexi but he didn't bother to look. Even her name struck a nerve in him. He went to pick up Brianna and she looked pretty good. Still he couldn't deny that he didn't feel the same way he did around Lexi.

When they got in the compact space of Andrew's car, the overwhelming smell of Brianna's sweet perfume spread throughout. It made Andrew light headed and sick but he didn't mention it. They got to the movies and decided to pick a horror movie for the adrenaline and suspense. In the middle of the movie Andrew took a picture of him and Brianna, her head on his shoulder and posted it to his story.

Lexi who was still laying in bed after her failed attempts to reach Andrew saw he posted a story. Oh so he was busy that's good at least he wasn't ignoring her. But when she opened the story she was not expecting what she was about to see.

A picture of Brianna and him at the movies was posted to his story. It was dark but in the corner Andrew had tagged Brianna. Lexi burst into tears, putting on a big hoodie and curling up in her bed. They weren't even dating but she was so hurt. How could he lead her on like that?

Lexi sat there, wondering how he could switch up like that. She grabbed the picture of her and Ben from her night stand and began to talk to him. "Ben I knew it, you were the only one for me. I'll never find someone else don't worry, you'll always be my one and only. You would never hurt me like this I'm sorry for even trying to be with another guy. I love you Ben and I miss you."

She stared at the picture for a little longer before placing it back exactly where it was before. For the next hour, Lexi just layed and stared at the ceiling. That's when she got a facetime from Pierson.

"Lexi what are you doing laying in bed? It's 4pm!" Pierson said, staring closely at the screen. "I just don't feel good Pierson." Lexi said, trying to mask the fact that she was crying. "Are you crying?" Pierson said, "Come on we're going to go to the mall and you're going to tell me everything!" Lexi groaned but she knew that Pierson was her best friend and solution to her problems right now. "Okay."

Lexi got up, changing into a nicer outfit then her sweatshirt and sweatpants. She put on her makeup and called Pierson back. "Wow you look alive again!" Pierson half-joked. "Yeah whatever, are you picking me up now?" Lexi asked, rolling her eyes playfully. "Yeah I'm heading over now." Pierson said while eating a donut. "Pierson I can literally see you, you're eating a donut right now." Lexi said. "No it's just a power snack I'm driving over right after." Pierson lied guiltily. "Okay just text me when you get here after your 'power snack'." Lexi said before hanging up.

Pierson arrived at Lexi's house and instead of texting her she rang the doorbell. Lexi went down and was immediately met with a hug from Pierson. Lexi was shocked at first but she hugged her back lovingly.

"Look I don't know what's wrong yet but you looked like you needed a hug." Pierson said. She was always so sweet and caring and that's what Lexi loved about her. She made her feel so comfortable and safe like no other friend had before. After Ben died, she was Lexi's rock, she cried on her shoulder everyday for weeks and Pierson never complained. "Thank you Pier."

They both got in the car and Pierson began their conversation by saying she had good news. "Lexi guess what?" Pierson asked smiling mischievously. "What?" Lexi asked, very curious at her friend's happiness. "So, earlier today me and Brent had lunch and he kissed me!" Pierson said, hitting Lexi's arm excitedly. "Pierson I love you but you have bad taste in men."

Pierson made a disgusted look at Lexi, "Whatever it's just because he's your brother. But he makes me feel some type of way I don't know!" Pierson said, a focused look on her face like she was trying to find the right words. "As Brent's sister ew, but as your friend tell me more!" Lexi said, letting her know she was joking with her about Brent being a bad choice.

"Well we got lunch at that new sandwich place and when he was dropping me off at home he gave me a hug and we just ended up kissing." Lexi loved the way Pierson talked about Brent, she was so in love. "Oh my gosh! You're going to be my sister in law! Yes!" Lexi exclaimed doing silly triumphant hand motions.

"Okay enough about me, what's up with you?" Pierson asked in a more serious tone. Lexi sighed, "Okay but you can't tell anyone." Pierson pretended to zip up her mouth with her hands and lock it. "I have a crush on Andrew okay? And I felt bad because I miss Ben so much but I really felt a connection between me and him. I know that Brianna had the whole bet on Andrew but I felt like he was the one. But today I tried to call and text him and he didn't answer. I thought he was busy but I checked his story and he was at the movies with Brianna." At this point Lexi was trying so hard not to let a single tear escape her eyes.

Pierson grabbed Lexi's hand, "I'm so sorry Lex, that's messed up. But it's okay boys sucks and you have me anyway." The rest of the car ride was sad silence at Lexi's confession. They went to the mall for 3 hours and still Andrew hadn't answered her text. It killed Andrew more than it killed Lexi but he couldn't believe that Lexi lied and lead him on.

His day with Brianna was what someone would describe as not fun at all. She was actually rude and fake and it showed throughout her attempts to smile. She would make rude remarks and treat the workers at the movies and the restaurant they went to with little to no respect. She sent her food back multiple times and Andrew couldn't even believe he thought this was a good idea. Both of them were extremely hurt, each of them in the dark about the others story.
