Hyunjin's POV As soon as I finished my papers. I took out my phone and there was no message from Chaerin. She is probably in the operating room right now. I have been so bothered about what's happening.

Is Chaerin mad at me? Did she see the video? Did she find out?

Lastly, is she going to leave me?

That was the last thing I would want her to do, to leave.

All my life, I have never been scared of watching people leave me. But it wasn't the same thing as Chaerin. She is the person I wanted to be with, my whole life.

Just imagining waking up knowing that she is not around me anymore. It's what scares me the most. I love her more than anyone else. I love her more than she loves me- Does she even have feelings for me?

I knew from the start, it was Felix.

I arranged my things and left the office. As soon as I came out of the building, I saw my secretary talking to Sangmi.

"Atty. Hwang!" my secretary called and signal me to come over

I went to them, and Sangmi wasn't even looking at me.

"I wanted to thank you, Atty. Hwang, for always helping me. Thank you so much." Sangmi smiled and handed me a paper bag "A little gift for your kindness." she bowed and started walking away

I opened the paper bag and it was full of chocolates, "Why is she thanking me? The case is not done yet."

"Actually, I don't know if it's right for me to say this. I just thought she does that want you to know since something happened earlier." secretary

"Why? Is there something wrong with her case?"

"She dropped the charges." secretary

"What? Why would she do that? We're going to win this one. Why would she drop it all of a sudden? The hell is happening with her?"

"She went to you earlier to talk about it and ask for advices but something happened. She asked me instead but I told her to talk to you but she refused. She left and went to drop the charges. Now, she came back to thank us." secretary explained

"That's so sudden. Did she mention any reason why she did that?"

"She just wanted to. That's what she kept saying, but I know something bad is happening. She probably doesn't want us to know." secretary

"Let me know if she will tell you something. Update me with the process of the charges she dropped. For now, let's respect her decision."

"Noted, sir." he said

I went to my car and was still bothered why she dropped charges when we knew we are winning this case.

"Hyunjin, let her be." I whispered to myself

But I hope nothing bad is happening to her.

calling Chae...

[Hi! Are you on your way home?]

"Yeah. What time are you coming home?"

[I don't know. I badly want to go home though.]

"You want to watch a movie when you get home?" I don't know why I suddenly asked her about that but... I just know that I want to spend time with her.

[Sure! You choose what movie.]

I stayed silent as she kept talking about a movie she saw on the internet.

[Hello? Are you still there?]

"Fuck... I missed you so much."

[Huh? We see each other everyday. Hahaha!]

"Yeah. I'm crazy. Sorry."

[You okay?]

"N-No. Not really. But I'll be fine. Let's talk for a few more minutes."

[Okay, because I have something to tell you about this patient of mine.]

It went like that for almost half an hour. She said goodbye when she needed to do a heart transplant to her patient.

I drove my car and was in a good mood. I missed her so much. I don't even know why. But I fucking miss everything between us. I love her. I fucking do.

Something caught my attention that made me slow down my car. I was in a shock when I saw a familiar car parked in front of the hangang bridge. It was Sangmi's car.

I hurriedly got out of my car to see, but she wasn't inside- I found her crying while standing on the railings.

"Sangmi!"

"What are you- Don't go near me!" she shouted

"Please come down. Let's talk. I don't know what happened but we have to talk it out."

"He ruined everything." she cried

"Sangmi... Come down. Please."

She ignored me.

She was staring at the river in front of her. As soon as I got the chance, I hurriedly pulled her down causing for both of us to fall.

"What the hell!" she cried even more

"What the fuck are you doing there?! Do you want to die?! Do you think that will resolve everything?! If that will resolve everything, I will fucking die too."

"You don't understand!" she shouted

"Then make me!"

She cried even more as she looked down, "He was threatening me. He wanted to post our videos and pictures naked if I won't drop the charges."

"I told you. I will help you."

"I don't want to disappoint my parents. I am scared, Hyunjin. I can't disappoint them." she cried in a more calm voice

"We will win the case no matter what. I will help you with everything I can."

I can win any case... but am I going to win Chaerin as well?

Or am I loser when going against Felix?
