"Good afternoon, sir." one of the employees greeted me as I entered the company

I just gave them a nod as they greet me. It was no ordinary for me to be greeted by them, but it feels different today. They were all staring at me when I am not looking, I can sense it.

I know something is wrong.

"Yah. Have you heard about the article?"

"He cheated on Mrs. Hwang. How can he do that? He chose a slut over a woman with a class."

"I wonder if Dra. Ahn heard about it?"

"I am sure she have heard about it."

Those are the words I heard before I even enter my office. I knew it. They saw the article. A shameless lawyer who cheated on his wife. Fuck.

"Everyone!" the team manager shouted that shocked them all "Continue your work."

I ignored them and went inside my office. My eyes closed automatically as I felt frustrated not because of what people will tell me.

Scared of Chaerin's reaction over the news.

What the fuck did I do?!

As soon as I faced my desktop, I searched my name and waited for any article related about me cheating to show up. But there was nothing.

What?

I kept searching my name and nothing showed up. What happened? Was it deleted? Honestly, I haven't seen the article yet. I just heard from my friends that there was an article that published about me.

"Sir, someone's here." assistant

"Who? I am not expecting any visitors."

"She said she's a client." assistant

"I told you I am-"

"It's me." Sangmi suddenly appeared with no expression at all

"What are you doing here? My job with you is done. There is nothing to talk about. You may leave. I am not in the mood to accept any client."

"It's about last night." she said

"What about last night? You saw the article too? Great. Good for you. Now, leave."

"Of course, I saw the article. My face was in it." Sangmi

"Your face? Why would you be in the article?"

"We made out. I am the woman you kissed." Sangmi said

Those words she said froze me.

I made out with the girl who is the reason why Chaerin was hurt back then? What the fuck? I don't remember anything at all.

"Stop lying. That would never happen."

"You probably don't remember. You called me and you were so drunk. You kept talking how hurt you are and how much you wanted to leave her but you can't. One of the waiter called me as I am your last dial, and because were so unconscious after drinking a lot. I went there to drive you home but while I was trying to drag you with me. You pulled me back to you, causing me to lose my balance and accidentally sat on your lap. You tried to kiss me but I refused. I told you not to and you will hurt someone. But you said it was fine, you wanted her to hate you." Sangmi explained

"What the fuck was I thinking?"

"Sir-" assistant stopped when my Father suddenly entered my office

"Good afternoon, Father." I greeted as I stood up

But the moment he stood in front of me. A loud sound of slap was heard all over the room. I didn't feel any pain. Rather, I felt relieved. He hates me because I hurt Chaerin. Good to know he cares for her more than he does for me.

"I am so disappointed in you!" he shouted

It was already 8 in the evening, and I am still in my office. I don't want to go home- I mean I want to but I can't. The more I see her, the more I am upset with myself. I love her so much. I love her so bad.

My phone received another message from Chaerin. This is her 23rd message to me and two missed calls. I am not answering her calls nor replying to her messages.

Felix suddenly entered my office, "How dumb of you to cheat on her. You probably are wondering why the article was gone. I did that. Not for you neither myself. For Chaerin not to be hurt."

"Thanks."

"Thanks? You are a fucking jerk! I had the chance to be with her but I chose not to! I never wanted to ruin the relationship you two had! And you seem like you never cared if she is hurt?! You are a jerk. Fucking jerk!" he shouted

"Do you think Chaerin will choose you even if you didn't let the chance slide? She will still choose me over and over again, Felix. You are her past. You are nothing to her anymore. You mean nothing."

Felix punched my face causing my lips to bleed, "You are a fucking jerk. I don't even know why I let her be with you."

"Chaerin chose me in the first place, and she'll do the same if she were told to choose. Your Father would never let you marry any girl you like. You will end up with someone who is in the same level as you. Don't act like you were letting the chance slide, because you really never had the chance."

He pulled my collar, "You'll regret."

"Me? I don't regret."

"One more time you hurt her. I won't stop myself anymore." he pushed me so hard

"I dare you."
