Warping of Emotions

Jay's POV

As I kissed Keifer, not to just feel him but to make everyone realise that he is mine and no one can claim over him...no one. Yes, I might be sounding like Keifer, the way he used to authorize over his things but now I understood the reason behind it. When one keep losing everything, he/she can't afford to let go the things he dearly loved and same here I just can't lose Keifer this time.

His hands were covering my arms, mine stuck into his hair and world around seems not to exist but soon I backed off, he smiled by looking at me but man we've got something more to handle than to flirt right now. I smacked his hands to stop him grinning and I turned towards Diana.

She was standing quietly, with an expressionless face but I can see guilt or somewhere a kind of fear but her lips parted away and all I could hear, "sorry!", her voice was really low like barely above the air's whisper. Before I can say anything Keifer approached her, "as I heard that Ivy is sick and asking for me, I came here to see her cause I know I'm still her father for her and I don't want to hurt her feelings but slowly prepare her for the truth".

"If it's not for her, I wouldn't have chosen to saw you face again, after what've you tried to with my Jay. But that's enough I severe all kind of connections in between us".

Diana just nodded, she took a step back, she tried to hide but her eyes were teary, "I'm sorry, literally sorry Keifer and Ms Mariano. I'm such an idiot who thought I'll be able to come in between you, when I never saw a little bit attraction in his eyes towards me in past two years". She looked at her daughter, "I did this all for her, just for her but I won't deny that I became selfish for some time and tried to steal your man".

"I thought when he can love someone so purely who is far away and there's no surety if he'll get that one, so how much he'll love the one who is in front of him, but I forgot that it's not about being close or getting someone but it's about giving yourself to that person. Even I tried to humiliate you, hurt you Mariano but he stood strong to protect you. So I decided to target him, his character but your trust on him never shook, and now I realised I was never a part of his life, it's always you". "Please forgive me if you can, all I did for my daughter to give her love of both the parents. And I got greedy that how it feels to be loved unconditionally and...."

Keifer interrupts, "I know what you have been through, but it does not mean you got the right to hurt my Jay, you literally tried to harm her and expecting that I'll forgive you. Never, I must not have cared if it's for me but you", he points finger at her, "you pushed my Jay's life into the danger and I can't take it, I should've exposed you and maybe revenged...", he was really fuming but I tried to calm him down, "stop it, what will you get after doing this?".

He rolled his eyes, "not everyone is good as you Jay, what if she again...she again try to harm you or maybe my someone else from the family", I know what're you trying to say but I can see regret in Diana's eyes, "there's difference between in what if and happenings, we cannot leave being kind to others when they've been rude, that won't be us"

Diana tried to justify, "I just want to scare her and you, I sent someone to collide with her car but only when she's not inside it, I never wanted to kill her Keifer", and she sighed, "and I thought maybe forged reports will create distance but it only brought you guys closer, then I gave up but I couldn't hold when my little Ivy looked for her father and I...", she sobs.

Keifer takes a look towards Ivy, "don't try to play a martyr card...", I held his hand to stop him, "you're not a woman, you won't understand it. But Diana, I can... the kind of insecurity you must be dealing and trust me a woman can raise a child better alone in the best way. My mom raised me when my father used to be on business trips, Keifer's mom died when he's little and he started taking care of his little siblings when he's not even a teen. Don't see yourself as weak, don't beg for love, you're fucking strong woman".

She was looking vulnerable, "are you leaving?", and by this time her daughter woke up, "papa you're here, I missed you", and Keifer moved towards her and caressed her hairs, "I was busy, is your health good?", the kid nodded and extended her arms to get into Keifer's arms, he picked her up. I felt pity for the kid but I'm a human and how can I see my man being called as father by someone else's kid.

It's tough for me, maybe this is the time to tell her about the return of her real father, but Diana soon took Ivy from Keifer, "I'm no one to stop you, you've already paid what you owe me. Thanks for helping me and giving love to my daughter, now I'll raise her all by myself, and being loved by a man like you Keifer...it'll always remain my incomplete favorite wish". [maybe not yours but everyone's wish]. 

Keifer didn't looked at her, but held my hands, "whatever, but I've got some information about her real father, Fred Hudson, he's been seen around Sydney, and my assets are finding him", I smiled, Keifer you're late but I've already found him before you.

Diana didn't paid any attention to this, "I don't care and how come I'm supposed to be back with him..", she closed Ivy's ears with her hands, "when he left after knowing that I'm pregnant with his kid, though he's her fucking biological father but she's all mine, I gave birth to her".

"At least know his side", I said, looking at Keifer, "like Keifer was stuck, maybe he's his own piece to tell", Keifer turned to me, "she's right, you never know what that person was going through, just give a chance to explain". She looked convince, "I'll see, but at first he's to come".

I finally spoke, "he's here in the city, staying in Hotel Heaven and Keifer looked at me shockingly, "yes, I've already got him, Rory helped in this". and I gave her the room number to her, "you can meet him". She took that but didn't respond, "I'm here for few more weeks, I'll come to see Ivy but to let her know that she's not my daughter".

I agreed with him, and will you to solve your issues, I held Keifer's hand and moved out of the room. He was still holding my hand, but I shrugged it off soon we exited the apartment, but he again pulls me, "stop being rude! now it's all settled right? I'm no one's fiancé or father anymore, not even for a tag". I raised my brows, "what were you doing here?", he nodded, "she called me that Ivy is sick and I just came out of concern, to see that kid".

Why don't you understand Keifer that I cannot share you, not after this much happened between us, "it's fine to care about a kid but what about us, my emotions? How much it hurts when she calls you her father". He downed his head, "I'm really sorry for it Jay, but few more days and we will go to our Manila. Okay! everything will be good", he assured me.

I moved ahead, he was following me, "let's have our dinner", I was about to deny but my stomach growled and he smiled, "you're ignoring your heart but at least have mercy on your appetite", I nodded, and sat in his car, I was exhausted with all this drama and don't know when sleep took over me.

Keifer's POV

I wish the problem can be resolved soon, just me and you can live peacefully. I was stealing her glances while driving, and I noticed she's doing the smae, my lips curled into a smile, "what're you smiling for? jerk.. it's just a dinner", I nodded, "a dinner date, it all starts from here only", she yawned, maybe tired of all this and turned her head towards the window and slept.

She's looking so beautiful as ever, my messy cat, I slowed down the speed and placed her head on my shoulder, "I love you", and kissed her forehead also took her hand into mine, she leaned more towards me, "maybe the time can stop right now". I chose to take her to my home, as it's been a long time I cooked for her.

Soon, we reached at our apartment, I rubbed her knuckles, and kept staring at her, taking a closer look of her face. Soon she woke up, she rubbed her eyes with another hand, "it's a nice nap" and she looked at me and pulled her hand, "what restaurant is this?", she looked outside, "isn't this your home?". I scratched my head, "ahh.. you're sleeping so I didn't want to disturb you so...".

She hit me, "you're such a jerk", I just smiled, "well.. making profit in every opportunity". She get off the car, "now you're going to cook and then drop me off at the hotel". I also came out of the car, "sure! as you say". But I'm gonna fulfil your first wish, not another one as you're going to stay with me tonight as well as for your whole life.

I brought her inside, it's her first time visiting my home, she took a look, "it's good, your choice never disappoints me", I winked, "true that you can look into the mirror for it". This made her blush, she shook her head, "idiot!", she throws a fist on my chest but I held her hand, "three!", she raised her brows, "what?", I smirked, "three profanities...and there are many more of the past. I've the whole account for it".

She bit her lips, "you can't...", before she can say anything I pulled her by waist, "I'll... after all it's your reward and I don't like to let things go specially when it's a kiss from you". She tried hard to get off my grip and I just pecked over her lips, "this is enough for now, as I've to cook for my queen as she wants food", I left her and moved towards kitchen.

Her eyes were scanning the home, I held her hand, "let me show you my room", I took her upstairs, the room was clean and settled, she entered there, "just in case our life was this good as the room is", she sighed. I opened up my wardrobe, "choose any hoodie for yourself to get change", she turned towards me, "change?".

I nodded, "sleeping in such clothes won't be comfortable for you, right?", she knitted her brows, "who the hell is staying here?", I pointed at her, "of course you". She turned towards other side, "no way", and noticed the photo frame hanging there, it's of Me, Jay with my brothers, other one of me, Jay with Aries, and one more of me, Keigan and Keiran with mom, "these pictures helped me to survive all this time".

She took out her wallet and took out my picture, "this helped me",and I immediately pulled her into the hug, "I'm sorry", I caressed her hair, "I know it's not enough, but I can't change the past but can correct my mistakes". She leaned into me, leaving her complete weight on me, the warping of emotions inside us, like everything felt beautiful as we're together, it's giving strength to us, to fight one more time and remain by each other's side.

We stayed like that for a while, her phone rang and she backed off, "Keigan? he must be asking for my return", she picked it up and kept it on speaker, "Ate! did you get to know about those people who tried to attempted to kills us?", he's little nervous. Jay was confused, "what about them?", and Keigan explained, "I just got to know one two of them disappeared in early morning and one of them found in a nearby sewage hole in complete injured condition".

Jay immediately turned to me, and I kept my expressions neutral, and she hung up the call, "what did you..?", he cut me off, "they tried to touch you and kill my brother... I will chop off those hands who touch you, took out those eyes which tries to harm you, I swear Jay I'll turn the world upside down for you".

She was looking at me with shock, "you stopped me otherwise I'd have made Diana suffer for targeting you, and it's just for Ivy I considered your request". It's an awkward silent but her body again announced that she needs food, "get change into comfortable clothes, I'm cooking some good food for you".

I started preparing dishes, she soon came into Damian's hoodie, and I smiled seeing that, she has not changed a bit still into Batman and his family. Ahh.. I even feel jealous of the picture of Damian, how can it touch her, only I've the right to do so.

She sat on the counter, "how can you find them this soon", I sighed, "I've my ways", she again asked, "and where are those people who disappeared?". I rolled my shoulders, "I don't know, the one who's been found must have tried to escape but don't worry those people will beg for their fucking death".

She was about to say something, but I put tofu into her mouth and kissed her cheeks, "leave it all, let's talk about us". As the water started boiling, I put on noodles into it, she's watching me carefully, "it took me back to our school days, if you remember I used to cook for you". She smiled, "of course I do, ahh... I wish we can go back to that day when we're carefree and handling the world of these fucking business empires did not exist for us".

I agree with her, but this was always there for me, "I just dragged you Jay, otherwise I've seen this all since my childhood, the way my dad used to hit my mom, his own wife for this fucking wealth, and even took her life, abandoned his kids. Huh...the day I lost my mom I realised it's gonna be tough, but I'll never let my brothers go through the same I did, I raised them in peace". 

"But still I lost it to him, my own father conspired... you know he's the one who paid my pilot to crash the plane and kill me", a smirk left through my lips, "and ultimately it dragged Keigan into such a mess and even you but you both handled it all. My mom sacrificed herself and you saved it again Jay". 

She took my one hand, "I saw a dream, almost one month after your plane crash that you're alive, you're betrayed by your family and became a homeless guy but hidden singer and met me Australia, we sorted out everything, but Aries and you got into fight then I woke up". 

Oh so that's why she's pinching us to confirm that it's not dream and I'm here for real. She added, "that dream gave me a hope to find you, look for you and to discard all the assumptions that you're no more". I cupped her face, "so you're right, I was alive", and I kissed her forehead, "what can I do more to make you realise that it's not dream anymore". 

She shook her head, "if it's then I don't want to realise, I'll choose to die rather than waking up to harsh reality", a tear dropped her eyes, but I wiped it off, "It's real, I'm here and to stay for forever", she wrapped her hands around me, and I patted her back. 

Suddenly she pushed me, "the food might burn", and I ran to save my dish and we both laughed. The food was ready, she took two bowls, but I poured all the food in one and also kept another fork back into the stand, "how'll you it then", I smirked, "I've my ways". 

We both settles on dining table, watching a good romantic movie, as she starts eating, she looked at me, "are you really not going to eat", I just nodded my head, and a great intimate scene surfaced, the couple devouring each other, she stared at her bowl, and tried to take another bite, I moved closer to her.

She ignored eye contact, but I pulled her bowl, "it's my duty to serve you", I started feeding her, looking deep into her eyes, "I'm patiently waiting to hear those magical words, Jay!". She looked around, "I am Full", but I held her by chin, "please say it", she tried removing my hand, but my grip was strong, "your face is dirty, let me clean it for you".

I kissed at the side of her lips, where some of the food was stuck, "you're going to make me wait, right?", I kissed at another side, "fine, I'll do that". She was sitting without any movement, but soon her hands traced my shoulders reaching out to back of my neck and pulled me close, "I thought I'll make you suffer more, but I'm getting impatient to be with you... it's a waste to do that"

She pressed her forehead against mine, "I love you Keifer, I really do". I smiled, "my heart is like a fabric of love, you're the star that's warping my emotions and creating a gravitational force which is pulling me ...apparently here I've become an object just orbiting around you", this girl makes me say anything, "I love you too Jay".

Hello! hope you're all good. It's a long chapter as I skipped for few days. I know I've been delaying in posting chapters but it's because of my poor health. I also have to make up for my classes that I missed in complement to my already busy schedule, m not even able to think properly.

It just killed the zeal of writing, and then such a dim response from your side too made me think that the story is getting nowhere, so the time to say goodbye is already here but I don't like to leave stories incomplete, so I'll be wrapping it up in one or two chapters. See you soon in next one ❤️
