Chapter Twelve – And It Continues…

Eden

Justin.

“Hi Eden,” He says and acts as if nothing was wrong.

“Hi,” I reply giving him a blank emotion. What do you expect me to do? Jump on him and give him a big hug and say, “Aye Justin! I don’t care what you did but I love you.”

No fricken way.

“Uh Justin, I have to make a call. So I’ll see you then,” I lied and went away.

I couldn’t bear to be with him. All those memories were coming back in my mind. The hurt, the sadness, everything. I felt like crying right now.

But I won’t.

I won’t let him ruin this for me.

No matter how chill I act, about listening to his songs and stuff, I am hurt about what he had done and it can never ever change.

I go and talk to my other classmates to distract my mind from him. From the corner of my eye, I could see Ashley and Justin talking.

Wow?

Is it the reunion or make Eden feel miserable and more hurt day?

Stella was talking Nina and she was giving me a soft smile. She understands how I feel.

“Enough of talking, students!” Mr. Gray, our English teacher announced.

Everyone became silent and paid their attention towards Mr. Gray.

“So, since it’s our reunion today, we teachers have decided to play a game.” He said on the mic.

“So this game is called “Choosing The Partner”. In this game, everyone would take out the chits from the bowl. In the chits a specific number would be written. When you find out the number, everyone will one by one say the numbers and the person who has the same number will come in front. When you are done finding out your partners, a certain task will be given. Every couple will be given a different task. So I hope you all got the rules?” He said.

I’m not feeling good about this game. But if I disagree, I will bore myself.

“So are we all ready?” Our teacher asked loudly. Everyone yelled a “yes”.

Everyone went towards the bowls. There were two bowls in total.

Going, I grabbed my chit and opened it.

96

So my number was 96. I wonder whom I would be partnered with.

Not him please.

“What’s your number girl?” Stella came and asked. I smiled.

“96. Yours?” I asked.

“51.” She replied and smirked. Can everyone just stop smirking? Please.

“Okay I hope everyone is done picking out their chits,” Mr. Gray said and smiled. “The people on the left side please say your numbers one and people on the right side come forward when your number is said.”

Justin and Ashley were standing together (which made my blood boil and made me hurt even more) on the opposite side.

Justin was standing on the left side and I was on the right side.

By the time, Ryan and Michelle were already kind of into each other. Finally.

It was Justin’s turn to announce his number.

“96.”

Oh God!! Why?!

I hate my life right now.

“So who is number 96?” Mr. Gray asks.

I step forward and Justin’s lips form a smile and I have an annoyed face.

Why Lord?!

Stella was smirking, Chaz and Ryan were grinning and Ashley was smiling.

What The Hell?!

Ryan and Ashley were paired together. Stella and Noah. Chaz and Ella.

I laughed mentally when I saw Ashley got paired up with Ryan and Ryan’s face was priceless.

“You look pretty today,” Justin complimented. Reall Justin? Really?

“Thanks,” I said coldly.

“Everyone has partners now. Our teachers will give you cards and whatever is written on them you have to do it.” Mr. Gray announced.

Okay.

Mrs. Marcus handed me and Justin the card and I was shocked to see what was written.

Slow Dance

I’m jumping off a cliff now. Literally.

“Oh – okay,” Justin smirked. “I dance really well you know,” Justin flirted.

Flirting? Really?

I’m getting more and more and more annoyed with Mr. Popstar right now.

He is just mad because he isn’t getting any attention he wants. Well he is the world’s music sensation, right?

“You should tell that too Ashley, don’t you think?” I smirked. “Eden listen,” “Save it, I don’t want to do anything related to you, Justin.” I said truthfully. Well half truth.

“Eden –“ Justin said. “You should have thought and explained when you did that on that day.” I said.

Justin remained silent.

“Justin and Eden, it’s your turn now,” Mr. Gray said.

Good timing, Mr. Gray.

Not.

A romantic music began to play. Great just great.

Justin put his hand around my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders. We were looking into each other’s eye and I could see so many emotions in his eyes.

At this moment, I thought that it was only two of us and no one else was in here. It was all – magical, I guess.

Stella was looking at us in awe.

After our task was done, I was watching people doing their tasks.

The reunion was so not as I expected.

Every couple were done with their activities.

Stella and the guys were nowhere to be found. Weird.

Ashley and Justin were just talking to other people. I went to the washroom which based in our school. It’s nice how I could see my school. All the memories.

I went to the washroom and did my job. Coming out of the bathroom in the washroom, I went towards the sink and washed my hands with the soap.

I looked myself in the mirror and I looked presentable.

I heard my phone vibrate and someone was calling.

Jay

I picked up his call and talked to him,

“Hey Jay!” I greeted smiling. “Hi Eden! Is Stella there with you?” He asked me. “No. Why?” I asked. “She isn’t picking up her phone.” He answered.

“Oh. As soon as I find her, I’ll tell her to call you. By the way how are your sister’s birthday party preparations going on?” I asked nicely.  “Thanks. And what birthday party preparations are you talking about? My sister’s birthday got over 3 months ago.” He chuckled.

What? Jay’s sister birthday got over 3 months ago?

“But Stella–” I got cut off by Jay saying, “Eden I’ll talk to you later, the signal is weak over here. Please tell Stella to call me.” Jay said and hung up.

If Jay’s sister’s birthday got over 3 months ago? Then did it mean that Stella lied to me? She lied?

This meant that Stella met someone else at McDonald’s that day.

Why would she lie to me?

Exiting from the washroom, I made my way to the auditorium.

While I was going, I heard a few voices in one of the classroom.

I went closer and heard the voices closely.

I recognized them.

It belonged to Justin, Stella, Ryan and Chaz.

Wow.

This was one of the most important chapters of ‘Reunion’. And the next one is actually the heart of the story. So y’all better hold tight. ;)

Justin is finally in  there hehe. And Eden did confess some of the things which were important.
