Chapter Eleven – It’s Just Getting Started

Eden

“Picture girls!” Mom said excitedly while clicking up pictures.

It was not prom, mom.

“Okay mom. We are getting late.” I said and she finally stopped.

“Okay. Bye girls and have so much fun.” Mom grinned at us.

“We will.” I and Stella said at the same time and grinned.

While we were exiting, I saw mom and Stella talk something secretly.

Weird.

Shrugging those thoughts, I sat inside mom’s car and Stella was driving.

After 15 minutes, we were here.

Okay. This better be good.

Taking a deep breath, I and Stella enter our school’s auditorium.

As we went inside the auditorium, I started feeling very excited and very nervous. I kept looking down and some of the people were looking at me and Stella and some of them were talking to their friends. Some random song was being played by the DJ. Wow did our school really appoint a DJ? This is awkward. Food and drinks were being served everywhere.

Ah Food!

I saw some familiar face and gave them a smile and they smiled back at me.

Mrs. Rosita Fernandez came to us and greeted with her grin. “Hello Eden and Stella,” She greeted and hugged us. Wow she remembers our name.

“Hi Mrs.Fernandez,” I smiled and Stella did too.

We chatted with her and went towards Ryan and Chaz who were talking to some girls.

They were Nina Rodriguez and Michelle Evans. Ryan’s forever crush was Michelle.

“Damn everyone’s here,” Stella said and grinned widely. “Yeah, I know.” I smiled and we looked through the crowd.

Literally our whole batch had come for the reunion. Wow.

I spotted Eric Parker and he was talking to John Matthews. The jerks of our school.

Surprisingly, I didn’t see Ashley and him.

Thank God I still haven’t seen him. Mr. Famous Popstar would surely won’t stop. It’s not his class, Right?

I just go and talk to my old classmates and I have a good time talking to them.

Eden you’re being too mean.

No I am not.

Yes you’re.

No.

Eden, I am conscience and I’m 99.9% always right.

Whatever! I don’t care.

I feel someone tap on my shoulder, I turn around and see, Chaz grinning.

“Eden, what are you doing? Come join us.” He invites. I smile at him and follow him.

Stella, Ryan and Nina are smirking at me and Chaz. What’s with everyone smirking? It’s getting creepy now.

“Eden you look so pretty,” Nina compliments me. “Thanks! You do too.” I thank her and she smiles nicely. “I agree with Nina, you look different in a good way of course.” Ryan says and Chaz and Stella grin. “Thanks.” I laugh.

While we all were talking, I see Ashley Hunters entering the school auditorium. As usual, she looks bitch of the millennium. No doubt about that.

Stella sees her and frowns.

She sees me and smiles at me. Walking towards me, Ashley stands in front of me and smiles. Is she lost?

“Hi Eden.” She smiles. “Are you lost?” I say without thinking. From back I could hear Ryan and Chaz laughing. Stella laughs too. “I’m sorry. Hi Ashley.” I greet her.

“How are you?” She asks me. Is she seriously serious right now. Where did her all that ‘Regina George’ attitude go? Is it on holiday?

“Uh I’m good. How about you?” I ask her. I can’t believe that I’m actually having a decent conversation with the bitch, Ashley Hunters. Ew. This is so weird and awkward as hell.

“I’m good too.” She smiles. “That’s nice…” I trail off. “I know what you’re thinking right now, Eden.” Stella says. “And it is?” I raise my brow. “Can we talk alone?” She asks. “O-okay.” I say and we go in a corner and she talks.

“Listen Eden, I’m not good with this ‘sorry’ and stuff but I’m really sorry whatever had happened that day. It was all my fault.I-I…” I cut her off by saying, “Ashley it was my fault that I actually believed him that he was my friend.” I laughed in disbelief.

“No-No Eden.” Ashley says. “Listen Ashley,I’m not for hearing ‘sorry’ and all and I don’t want to ruin this for myself. So please leave me alone and save your explanation for someone who actually believes you.” I say in my sassy tone and walk away.

“Eden-Eden wait,” She calls from behind and I ignore and go towards where Stella and the guys are standing.

“What would she say?” Stella asked me. “The bullshit. She wanted to say sorry and all,” I said. “You should have listened to her,” Stella said. Really Stella?

 “Stella, I really don’t have time for this bullshit and I don’t want to ruin this for me. I don’t want to remember that day. They hurt me bad and I am never ever forgiving them. So it’s not worth it.” I say. Stella mumbles an ‘okay’ and we talk on different topic.

On the way, I met Lucas. Yes, the guy who posted that angry face of our principal on Facebook as a reaction picture. This guy!

Me, Stella and the guys, walk over to the food and take our dishes from the counter and serve ourselves.

“Hi students!” Mrs. Fernandez greets.

“It’s lovely to see everybody here and we hope you all are having a good time.” She smiles. Everyone yells “yes” and she grins.

“We have a guest over here today, who is very successful in his life.” She announces. Oh no!

“We are glad that he could take out time and come for the ‘reunion’. But he is still our student and he has made our school proud.” Mrs. Fernandez says in the microphone.

Fuck. Don’t tell me, she is talking about him.

Please.

“Welcome the one and only, Justin Bieber.”

Fuck. No. No. No. No. No.

Why God?!!

Why Lord? Why? Why? Why? Why? Ugh.

Stella and the guys were grinning and I was annoyed.

To be honest, I was happy too because I was about to see him after so many years.

After Justin had met everyone, literally, he was talking to the guys aka Ryan and Chaz and Stella.

I was not giving him any attention and he would just occasionally look at me and go back to this talking with someone.

I feel tap on my shoulder and I turn around to see who it was.
