Chapter 4: A night to remember

"I need you like god needs the devil someday soon this dust is gonna settle.."

"I've never seen those birds before." Coriolanus as he looked up. He was able to get away from base again for awhile today and met Emme in the woods near the lake. Emme followed his gaze a small smile appearing on her lips at the birds flying above.

"A lot of people call them Mockingjays." Emme replied, he gave her a confused look. "Here."

  Emme looked up whistling a melody and the birds sang the same melody back. Emme let out a breathless laugh.

"I forgot about them from being in the capital for so long.."  Emme said. "You must miss Grandma'am and Tigris, have you talked to her recently?"

  Coriolanus looked at her and sighed. "I talked to Tigris this morning but the line got cut off. They were evicted.."

  Emme's eyes widened in shock at the news. Giving him a sad smile letting her hand run down his arm in comforting way.

"I'm sorry." She said he looked down at her before giving a sad smile and kissing her.

"I brought you something." He said as he dug into his pocket. Emme gave him a confused look as he revealed a floral pattern scarf.

"It was my mother's." He continued Handing it to her. "I'd like for you to have it."

"Corio I-i couldn't." She whispered looking at the scarf with wide eyes. He lifted her chin to make her look at him.

"I want you too." He said before pepping another kiss on her lips. He takes it and wraps it around her. She got an inhale of it.

"Mmm.." she smiled at the sent. "It still smells like roses. I promise I will take good care of it." She said looking up at him. Coriolanus smiled at her.

"I know you will." He said kissing her head.

"I miss Ashe and Marcus.." Emme said. "Or well Marcus sarcasm." She laughed not seeing the way Coriolanus's eyes go dark at the mention of their names.

"And what about Ashe?" He asked jealousy dripping from his words. She gave him a light smack on his arm and he looked at her.

"You don't have to be jealous. They are my friends." She said. "You have to trust me like I have to trust you."   Emme looked into his eyes as he nodded agreeing.

"Trust is everything." He replied.

"It's everything to me." Emme confessed. Coriolanus looked at her for a moment thinking.

"More important even than love." "You can't have love without trust. Trust and honesty are in the same boat together it's what keeps a relationship going." Coriolanus listened to her intently.

"You can trust me." Emme said looking straight into his pale blue eyes."If you can trust anyone in this world, you can trust me."

"You can trust me too." He replied taking her hand and giving it a kiss. She smiled up at him.

"I love you.." He whispered. The first time he's ever said to someone out loud since he was young. Emme looked at him sitting up.

"I love you too.." She whispered back her smile widened and his smile grew eyes darkening a bit. Before he staked a kiss on her lips before laying her on the blanket.

They had stayed in the that spot of the woods for a while talking, making out, enjoying each other's company. Until it started pouring down rain and Emme giggled.

"I come on we can go get dried off at my place." Emme said as her hair got soaked. Coriolanus laughed at the unexpected rain watching her as she laughed and did a little twirl in the rain. He grabbed her hand pulling her into a kiss.

Something that he'd seen in one of the romance films Tigris would watch and it did not disappoint. Before they made their way back to her grandmothers house hand in hand.

Once they got to her Grandmothers place and got dried off it was well into the evening the rain had slowed a bit but still coming down.

"I should probably go.." Coriolanus whispered looking at Emme in the candle light that made her look Angelic.

"Yeah.." Emme said looking over at him with her shaw wrapped around her. Coriolanus eyes wondered off the room that was empty.

"Where's your Grandmother? Shouldn't she have been back by now?" Coriolanus asked realising that she wasn't there.

"Oh, she spent the day/night at a friends house. She was helping her with some stuff." Emme trailed off.

She turned around as she walked towards the door to walk him out. Coriolanus grabbed her hand twisting her around kissing her deeply. She was taken back at first before kissing him back. He pushed her up against the door as their kisses got more heated. Coriolanus separated looking at her as they catch their breath.

"Are you sure.." Coriolanus asked, looking at her.

Emme hesitated as Coriolanus eyes drifted off to the side wondering if he had just fucked this up. Until he looked back at as she takes off her shirt his eyes go dark.

"I'm sure." Emme whispered, looking into Coriolanus eyes with confirmation. He cupped her cheeks bring her into a slow deep kiss one that was filled with lust, power, love, and passion as he lead them to her bedroom. Clothes being discarded along the way and kisses never wavering as things got more heated between the two loves that would make they're love even more binded...
