Chapter 19: Birthday Part 1

Harry POV:

“Come on Haz we are going to be late!” A squeaky Irish voice said, poking his head into mu room.

“Do you have the presents with you?” I ask.

“Yep I dropped of yours at Zayn’s earlier last night and Zayn’s is in the car.”

Ever since I could remember me and Zayn had combined birthdays, since we were about 4 we started the tradition. This year it was held at his house, last year mine, you see how the pattern develops. Well this is Niall’s third year at our combined birthday and tomorrow happens to be our six month anniversary, so many things to celebrate.

“Harry this year is going to be great! I already got the bottles with Perrie earlier, they are in Zayn’s basement.”

“Thanks Babe!”

Niall and I get into his car and make our way over to Zayn’s house were we are greeted at the door by none other than Perrie.

“Hey boys, about time you got here, everyone is downstairs. Harry do you mind if I talk to you for a second?”

“Sure” I say nudging Niall to go downstairs with the gift bags.

“So are you still going to do it?”

“Yes, We have only been dating officially for six months but I have known him for a bit over three years, He is the one Perr.”

“Glad you said that, come with me.” Perrie drags me upstairs into Zayn’s bedroom.

“What are we doing here?” Perrie ruffles through a drawer and pulls out a tiny box. She opens it, there are two silver bands, with three embedded jewels in each. On one there is a sapphire in the middle of two diamonds, for Niall obviously, and another identical with an emerald instead.

“Perrie, you didn’t have to….” I look at the rings again, they were so beautiful.

“Consider Zayn and my Birthday present to you.”

“I don’t know how to even start thanking you, I am just lost for words.”

“I know, that’s why I made them extra special, for two extra special boys.”

“Lets go downstairs” I say, putting the box into my coat pocket making sure that it is secured tight with a zipper.

When we get to the basement there is Katy Perry on the stereo system, the football game is on and everyone is holding a red solo cup. I walk up to Niall and take his cup, set it on the counter and start to dance with him. All I can feel are our bodies brushing against each other while we sway to the music.

“You  make me feel like I’m living a teenage dream” He sings along to the music.

“Happy Birthday by the way, I totally forgot to text or call this morning” He says looking into my eyes.

“It’s okay Nialler, you don’t have to say it because I knew you were thinking it.”

“So when is the food coming?”

“Around 6:30 I just ordered the Pizza’s”

“Sweet I’m starving” he says throwing his arms around my neck.

“I love you Niall.”

“I love you too Harry Styles.”

Niall POV:

“I love you Niall.”

“I love you too Harry Styles.”

Harry starts to kiss my neck, leading up to the sweet spot on my jawline. I really love when he kisses me there, it is one of my biggest weaknesses.

“So what were you and Perrie talking about upstairs?”

“Uh.. stuff..” he says completely avoiding my question.

“Hazza! Why wont you tell me?”

“Because it is a private matter Nialler.” I love it when he used my nickname, his British accent making it sound even cuter than it normally sounds. Although I was annoyed with the fact he didn’t tell me, I didn’t really care, I was worried about Zayn. Zayn came over the day after graduation and shows me the most amazing diamond ring ever, he wants to propose to Perrie on their three year tomorrow, the same day as Harry and my six months. I thought it was just so romantic, they were both going to the same University, and he never told her but he already bought them a condo, he saved up for like ever, he said he knew she was the one the moment he laid eyes on her. It was just the sweetest thing ever.

“PRESENT TIME!!!!!!!’ Louis screamed.

“Everyone gather around” Liam said, he was so fatherly and mature for his age, he could handle almost any situation.

“Me first!” Zayn yells.

Perrie brings out her box, when he opens it there is a gold Rolex watch. Those are one of the most expensive watches out there, girl must really love the guy. Louis and Eleanor got him a gift basket filled with all of his favorite hair products, When Zayn saw it he looked like he was going to drool. Then Liam and Danielle gave their present a pair of Ralph Lauren dress shoes that Zayn hadn’t stopped talking about since him and I saw them at the mall a couple weeks ago. Lastly it was my turn to give the present from Harry and I, when Zayn opened it he stopped and stared. His favorite football player was David Beckham and Harry’s dad happened to know him so we bought a jersey and got him to sign “Happy Birthday Zayn, Love David Beckham.” Zayn looks to all of us, “Thanks so much everyone, this has been such a great day!”.

Zayn POV:

“PRESENT TIME!!!!!!!’ Louis screamed.

“Everyone gather around” Liam says

“Me first!” I yell.

Perrie hands me a small white box, I open it to find a limited edition Rolex watch, a gold Rolex watch…

“I love it Perrie Thank you so much!” I pull her closer and give here a long kiss on the lips. Little did she know tomorrow I was planning to propose, it had been three years tomorrow, Niall approved of the ring, and he also came with me when I bought a condo down by the University. Next came Louis and Ellie’s gift, a giant gift basket full of all my favorite hair styling products, what more could I ask for. After them Li and Dani gave me a box with the most amazing shoes, these ones from Ralph Lauren Niall and I saw while shopping at the mall. Last but not least Niall handed me his gift from him and Harry. I open the box in the bag to see a signed David Beckham Jersey. It said on it in black sharpie “Happy Birthday Zayn, Love David Beckham.”

I turn towards everyone smiling with the stupidest grin on my face I could manage I was just so happy. “Thanks so much everyone, this has been such a great day!” I say, making sure everyone hears how grateful I am to have all of them in my life.

“Time for Haz’s gifts now!” Louis yells ruining the nice moment, Oh Well.
