Mary Prescott looked at the chaos before her. Her house was surrounded by news vans, ambulances and police officers. Sidney sat in the back of an ambulance, with a bottle of water and a blanket over her shoulders. Mary was leaning against the ambulance with an ice pack for the pain that Billy caused when he slammed her head against the floor.

"I didn't do anything! Sid.. Mary! Ask them, they'll tell you!" Billy screamed from the front of a cop car. Sidney caught Mary's eyes and smiled at her softly, seeing the intense struggle in her eyes.

"Mary.. are you okay?" Sidney asked her twin. Mary simply nodded at the question, and looked back at Billy, being taken away in a cop car. The squad car disappeared with Billy, as Mary saw Tatum coming to a stop in the front of the house. Sidney was talking with Dewey about coming to the station to talk, when Tatum pushed past him.

"What happened?! Oh god.. Sid." Tatum said as she wrapped her arms around Sidney. Mary rolled her eyes. Of course Sidney gets all the attention when tragedy strikes. Tatum looked at the twin with a mean look in her eye, in which Mary gave a smart remark, "Its okay Tate.. I get it. I think I'll just stay over at Stu's house tonight.", Mary looked over at Dewey with fake apology. "Unfortunately Dewey, I don't want to spend my night at the police station.. so I think I'll head out now."

Mary was walking to her car when a large news van rolled up the driveway. She was getting her keys out of the car, when she saw a blonde news reporter come out and look around. She was talking to her partner, when Gale spotted the twin sister, and Sidney rolling out in a police car.

"Excuse me, was that Sidney Prescott they took away?" Gale asked Mary with desperation in her eyes. Mary kept walking and was currently getting her keys out of her purse. "What happened to her Mary?" Mary looked at the reporter with a cocked eyebrow. "Wouldn't you like to know. I'm not saying anything to you." She said harshly to the reporter, and was greeted with silence. Mary got into her car, tires peeling as she sped away, Gale yelling at Kenny in her rearview mirror.

-At the Police Station-

Sidney was very confused on why her sister couldn't care enough to come to the police station with her. She was sitting at a desk, drinking a cup of water. Dewey walked over to Sidney, putting a jacket over her shoulders. Sidney looked up at Dewey, "Did you reach my dad?" Dewey shook his head at the girl.

"You're sure it was the Hilton Sid?" Sidney nodded at him. "Yeah, at the airport." Dewey shook his head, looking at a file. "He's not registered there, are you sure it wasn't another hotel?" Sidney shrugged and looked over numbly, watching Billy get interrogated with his father by his side.

-At Stu's house-

Mary and Stu sat on the couch in his kitchen, papers riddling the table with names all over them. Almost like a kill list. Mary winced in pain, holding her hand over her head, in which Stu looked at her concerned. "He really hurt you bad huh?" Stu said, going to the fridge to get an ice pack for his friend. Mary shrugged in response.

"It's fine Stuey.. it's all part of his game, our game. Except I think he screwed up." Mary said looking at the paper that had her sisters name on it. She remembered how screwed up Billy was when his mom left, and how she & Stu were the only ones who cared enough to stay with him, even if he said he didn't need it. His own girlfriend, her sister, more worried about her personal life, too scared to be comforting. Stu saw his friend spaced out and waved a hand in front of her face. "He's going to be fine Mary.. besides, I thought you were into me." Stu teased her. Mary simply slapped him playfully and smiled.

"Of course I'm into you. I just want this over with." Stu nodded in agreement, as he too, was ready for it to be over. Stu picked up the voice changer and a cellular phone and smirked at his friend. "What do you say we play a little game with Sidney". Mary looked at her best friend and smirked.

-Back with Sidney-

Tatum has joined Sidney at the police station, as they watch Billy be led to a cell by a couple of officers. Sidney and Billy meet eye contact, her eyes holding sadness, while his eyes held nothing but anger. Dewey and Sheriff Burke were on the other side of the room, talking about how the mask was sold at almost every store in town. Tatum looked over at her brother. "Hey Dewey, can we go now?"

Dewey held up a finger at his sister, saying to hold on a second. "God Dammit Dewey!" Tatum threw her arms up. Dewey turned to his sister, face red with embarrassment. He walked over to Tatum and whispered to her. "What did Mom tell you? When I wear this badge, you treat me like a man of the law." Tatum rolled her eyes at her brother, and grabbed her coat and Sidneys hand.

"I'm sorry Deputy Dewey-boy but we're ready to go now." Dewey sighed as Sidney and Tatum went out the back way to leave. Dewey was going to grab the patrol car, and meet them outside to take the two girls back to Tatum's home. Dewey tells the girls to wait in the alley while he gets the car.

Gale Weathers turns the corner, with Kenny having a camera in hand. "Hello Sidney." Gale says to the girl, catching her off guard. Sidney spins around, meeting the eyes of the reporter. Sidney goes stiff at the sight, and automatically goes into defensive mode. "Some night, are you alright?" Sidney rolls her eyes at the reporters fake sympathy. The two girls held a cold stare, Sidney remaining silent but shaking in anger.

Tatum stood in front of Sidney protectively, "She's not answering any questions, just leave her and Mary alone, okay?" Sidney put her hand on her best friends shoulder, and moved back in front of Tatum. "It's okay Tatum." Sidney cocked her head sarcastically before continuing "She's just doing her job, right Gale?" Gale nodded in understanding, as Dewey rounds the corner in a squad car.

"How's the book." Gale looked at the teenager, who had a cold vacant look in her eyes. "It'll be out later this year." Sidney was visibly getting angry, trying to contain the anger. She was squeezing her fists to the point of her knuckles white, and cresent moons in her palms from her nails. "I'll look for it." Sidney's voice was almost shaking with anger. Gale, almost oblivious to the anger, looked at her with a smile. "I'll send you a copy."

Sidney, who was turning around ready to leave, whipped back around unexpectedly. Her fist smashed against Gale's cheek, sending Gale falling backwards being caught by Kenny as they both tumble to the ground. Tatum and Dewey grabbed Sidney, who was breathing heavy with a sense of satisfaction on her face. "C'mon we gotta go." Dewey said as he grabbed her hand to take them home.

AUTHORS NOTE:

This may be a slow burn. I am going off of the actual script on this, along with getting inspiration from the app "Status". It is an app where you can message your favorite fictional characters, or in my case, killers. I hope you guys like it, and I promise that it'll be a great book!
