Chapter Sixteen: Percy

The impact of the sword hit hard and fast. Pain jolted through Percy's leg. Black dots swirled around his vision. All he could hear was Annabeth scream in either fear or pain. That was all Percy needed to get up and throw the sword. The mud was hardening around his ankle itching his skin. He couldn't move, he was loosing to much blood. All he could do was watch as Annabeth took a rock and broke the mud that had hardened like cement around his ankles. Her eyes were flowing with tears as she kissed him. The pain was getting worse and the spots were getting bigger. "Percy! Stay awake, please!" she said slowly. She was trying to cover his wound, to stop the bleeding. His vision went black except the gold words that read you have failed.

He opened his eyes, he was lying in grass, coverd with dew. The smell was so farmiliar. It took Percy a minute to realize it, he was at camp half blood. For a minute he was over whelmed by joy, that minute was ruined by the cannon ball that flew over his head. He stood up and without warning, shot next to Chiron and Reyna, they were arguing Octavian was standing next to Reyna. He had his arms crossed against his chest and he looked way to pleased with himself. Screams were rising around him. "Tratior!" Octavian screamed grabbing a bow and positioning it at Percy's heart. Percy had no time to react. Reyna and Chiron looked over and gasped as the arrow went through his chest. He wasn't actually there.

"Percy?" Chiron asked in amazement. He found he couldn't talk so he shook his head. Octavian tried to object, but both Reyna and Chiron walked over. Percy wanted to tell them not to fight, his voice wouldn't work. "Your a traitor!" Octavian screamed. "Shut up Octavian" Reyna said scowling. Thalia ran over "Chiron we need-" she stopped when she saw him "Percy, your here for a reason, what is it? You must be asleep. When people are in trouble or need to talk to them, or both, this can happen" she looked at him lifting her eyebrows. He tried to talk, without success he shrugged his shoulders. He started to feel pain in his leg. The screams got louder, he fell to the ground in pain and Chiron reached out his hand. He blacked out again.

He was breathing heavy. Annabeth shot up "Your alive? I thought you were dead! If you ever do that again-" she looked up as if looking for an exuse. "What you'll throw me in Tartarus?" he asked flinching with pain. She'd rolled her eyes "Even when you were about to die and still might, you still find time to be sarcastic" she shook her head. "Let's see if you can walk" she reached out her hand and pulled him up. She kissed him. "Are you okay?" she asked "Yeah I'm fine" he lied faking a smile."I think we should head in that direction" she said pointing her finger at a narrow tunnel, they would have to walk one behind the other. "If your feeling okay" she added quickly. They started walking. Percy fell with a groan and Annabeth whipped around "Okay we're not starting until you feel better" she said looking guilty. He was thankful for a rock lying next to him he grabbed it and said "It's just a rock, I tripped" she rolled her eyes "Fine" she helped him up again. She had wrapped his leg in something and his pant leg coverd it, but he could still feel wind blowing against it. Thay walked through the tunnel, each step he let out a silent cry. Tears welled up his eyes, they couldn't stop though. She turned to look at him "You okay?" he faked a smile but she saw through it. "I'm an idiot! You were just pulling the stay strong for your girlfriend!" she said. "Were stopping here and you are going to sleep! Whether you want to or not!" she made him sit down. He knew he should stay strong for her but he couldn't help it, he put his head on her shoulder and sobbed. He didn't know if it were from sadness, pain or just having Annabeth next to him. That's how he fell asleep, holding hands, sobbing into the shoulder of his girlfriend.

This was not really a cliff hanger. Sorry for anyone who loves cliff hangers but I took a break for now, dont expect this next chapter. And yes my brain did start working! Please comment and tell me how I did!
