The air smelled like smoke and sweat. The sky above Big Deal Street burned with the last light of evening.

Hyunwoo stepped closer to the chaos, but his presence went unnoticed.

His sharp eyes scanned the battlefield, catching familiar figures.

There was Jerry—no longer the loud, arrogant kid he once was.He stood silently with his back straight, eyes sharp, breathing steady. His strikes were precise, timed, and deliberate — like someone carrying weight far beyond his years.

He's changed since Baekho died...That loss turned him into someone else. Quiet. Disciplined.

Hyunwoo watched as Jerry disabled a Gangseo thug with a single clean counter. No wasted motion. No unnecessary flair. He wasn't trying to impress anymore.

We really all changed, huh.

His gaze shifted again.

Jake Kim.

He was still locked in a duel with Samuel Seo, but it wasn't the kind of desperate exchange Hyunwoo remembered from his past life.

Jake wasn't losing. He wasn't even equal.

He was winning.

Every move Jake made had purpose — the footwork, the timing, the power. It was the kind of strength that didn't come from talent alone.

It came from grueling hours of training.

From sparring over and over with Hyunwoo. From pushing himself because he feared becoming like his father. From sharpening his fists to protect those he cared about — even if he didn't want to admit it.

And it worked.

Samuel staggered back, bleeding and scowling, his confidence cracking.

Jake stepped forward, jaw clenched. His fist came down hard, crashing into Samuel's gut.

The Gangseo leader dropped to one knee, gasping for air.

Victory... was near.

And Hyunwoo? He just stood there, arms crossed, eyes calm.

He cracked a faint smile.

"...Did I even need to be here?" he muttered under his breath.

He turned slightly, his hands in his pockets, watching as the future he'd once known began to shift.

So this is the result of our training, huh?Jake... You really did change.

The dust from the scuffle settled just enough for Hyunwoo to approach the sidelines where Jerry was standing, arms crossed, watching the fight unfold.

Hyunwoo smirked and threw a casual wave.

"Yo, Jerry. Long time no see."

Jerry turned in surprise, straightening up at once. His voice was steady but respectful — no longer the cocky kid Hyunwoo once knew.

"Sir Hyunwoo... You're here?"

Hyunwoo sighed, a light chuckle escaping his lips.

"Enough with the 'sir' stuff, seriously. Save it for Jake — you know I'm not the type to boss anyone around."

Jerry cracked a faint smile, scratching the back of his neck."Still feels weird seeing you again like this."

Their reunion was short-lived.

The ground shook with another heavy impact — Jake and Samuel were still exchanging fierce blows, ignoring the world around them. The rest of the fight had died down, but those two were locked in, as if nothing else existed.

Then —Footsteps. Heavy ones.

A group emerged from the alleyway. They weren't kids. They were adults.

Slicked-back hair. Gold chains. Unbuttoned shirts.Their presence made even the Gangseo Union boys freeze.

Black Bear Gang.

Whispers rippled through the crowd.Everyone knew who they were — real gangsters, not school brawlers. And they were angry.

Two of the older members walked toward the center of the court where Jake and Samuel were still fighting.

Gangster 1 talk first "Didn't you brats hear what we said?"

Gangster 2 nod

"Cut it out. Take your little playground brawl somewhere else."

But Jake and Samuel didn't stop.

They didn't even notice them.

The gangsters exchanged annoyed glances, and without warning — both stepped in.

BAM!

Jake and Samuel reacted instantly.

Samuel's kick was blocked — the older man grunted, sliding slightly but not moving far.

Jake's punch landed clean on the other gangster's jaw...But the man just tilted his head back and rolled his neck with a low snarl.

Gangster 1 looked at them, pissed.

"You little shits..."

He stepped forward, fists clenched.

Then—

SWOOSH!

A shadow flashed between them.

CRACK!

One of the gangsters collapsed sideways — unconscious before he even hit the ground.

The other one froze mid-step.

Standing where the gangster had been was Hyunwoo, arm extended from a devastating spinning elbow.

His voice was calm. Cold.

"You shouldn't disturb us."

Gasps spread through the crowd. The Gangseo kids backed off.

Jake and Samuel finally noticed the shift in energy, turning slowly toward the newcomer.

Their fight paused.Jake blinked at the fallen man.Samuel raised a brow, slowly wiping blood from his lip.

Jerry muttered under his breath"That's Hyunwoo for you..."

Hyunwoo stood still, his gaze sharp.

He wasn't showing off.He wasn't angry.Just... focused.

The Black Bear gang's remaining members stared at Hyunwoo, suddenly unsure if they were in control anymore.

The air was tense again.

But this time... for a different reason.

The air grew heavier as the Black Bear gangsters recovered from the blow. Their pride stung more than their injuries.

With narrowed eyes and clenched jaws, they stepped back and reached beneath their jackets.

Steel glinted.

They pulled out knives, each blade reflecting the streetlights with cold menace.

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

Gangseo Union members began to scatter, their bravado collapsing as reality set in. These weren't school fights anymore — this was the real world.

Only a few remained rooted in place: • Jake, breathing hard but unfazed. • Samuel, tense and watching. • Jerry, fists up, but unsure. • And Hyunwoo, completely still. • Jason and Brad preparing to fight.

Suddenly—A black car screeched to a stop at the edge of the court.

All eyes turned as the door opened.

From the car stepped a man in a blsck suit, bald hair, and a phone on his hand.

Robert Choi. The acting chief of the Black Bear Gang.

A few of the older Black Bear members straightened up at once.

Robert's voice cut through the tension like a blade.

"Put the damn knives down. What are you doing pulling steel on high schoolers?"

The gangsters hesitated, then reluctantly lowered their weapons.

Robert stepped forward, eyes scanning the group. His tone was firm, but curious.

"Where the hell is Big Deal? You said they were causing trouble here."

One of the older members rubbed the back of his neck, awkwardly replying:

"We might've... mistaken them, sir. Thought they were Big Deal, but turns out they're just kids."

Robert raised a brow.

"Mistaken? You idiots don't even know who you're fighting? We're trying to take this street from Big Deal, and now you're telling me we picked the wrong damn fight?"

He turned to the teens. His voice calm, but threatening.

"You kids. Who are you?"

For a moment... silence.

The boys looked at each other.

They weren't Big Deal. Not officially. Not even close.

Jake and Samuel exchanged glances, tension still thick in the air.

Jerry opened his mouth to speak—but hesitated.

Then came a sound.

A quiet sigh.

Hyunwoo stepped forward, past Jake, past Samuel, standing in the center where the gangsters' knives had just been.

His expression was calm, almost bored.

Hyunwoo:"...This plot again, huh."

Everyone turned to him.

He looked up, eyes steady, unblinking. Then—he gave the answer that none of them expected, but somehow... felt right.

Hyunwoo:"We?"

He let the word hang in the air, just long enough.

Then—

Hyunwoo:"We're Big Deal."

A pause.

Then Jake smirked.Jerry blinked, then grinned.

Samuel scoffed, but said nothing — neither denying it.

The Jason and Brad stared in disbelief. The Black Bear men looked confused.

And Robert Choi just... smiled faintly.

Not because he believed them.

But because now... things had gotten interesting.

Robert took a step forward. His tone was casual, but his presence carried weight.

"Oh? Are you now?" Robert said, almost amused. Then, without shifting his gaze, he raised a hand."Boys. Pull out your knives."

A ripple of metallic clicks followed as several Black Bear gang members drew their blades. Their eyes gleamed with anticipation.

Samuel cracked his knuckles and grinned, stepping beside Jake with excitement in his voice."This is it. My first real fight against someone strong," Samuel said. "I can already feel my blood boiling—"

Jake didn't respond.

His eyes weren't on Robert or the knives. They were locked on Jerry, who stood a bit behind them, slightly tense. His hand was resting on the seat of an old bicycle chained near the wall.

Jake muttered just loud enough for Jerry to hear.

"Jerry."

Jerry turned, surprised by the sudden call. "Yeah?"

Jake's voice was low, serious. "You still got it in you?"

Jerry looked at the bicycle, then at Jake. He seemed unsure at first, but something clicked inside him. He gave a nod.

"I never stopped, sir," Jerry said, his voice soft but certain.

Jake exhaled, almost relieved. "Alright... thanks, Jerry."

Jason and Brad looked at them, confused.

"What's going on?" Brad asked.

Jake didn't answer. His brain was already working fast. There was no winning this fight. Not with knives involved. Not now. Not here.

"Samuel," Jake said, still calm. "You like to fight, right?"

Samuel grinned. "You know I do."

"Good. Then next time, fight someone without knives," Jake said.

Samuel blinked. "Huh?"

Without warning, Jake grabbed him by the collar.

"Hey—!"

"Now, Jerry!" Jake shouted.

Jerry kicked the lock off the chain, hopped on the bike, and spun it around with ease, already pedaling forward.

"Move!!" Jake barked as he pulled Samuel and shoved Brad forward. "We're not fighting. We're escaping!"

"Wait—seriously?!" Brad said.

"Yes, seriously!" Jake shouted.

"Sir Hyunwoo—!" Jerry called out as he pedaled past, throwing a glance toward the others.

Hyunwoo just sighed and shook his head. "Of course this would happen."

He dashed after them, followed by Jason, who tripped a little before catching up.

Jerry swerved ahead, yelling, "Faster, Boss Jake! You can't get caught!"

Jake turned his head slightly and smirked. "You're riding that thing better than I remember."

"All for you, boss!" Jerry shouted. "I only ride to serve!"

Samuel, who was still being dragged, shouted, "This is insane! I was ready to fight!"

Hyunwoo ran past them, side-eyeing Jake. "What kind of trouble have you gotten into now?"

Jake gave a breathless laugh. "You're the one who said we were Big Deal!"

Hyunwoo rolled his eyes. "Only because I knew you wanted to say it."

"Then shut up and run!" Jake yelled. "Think later!"
