Valentina's POV

~one year later~

It was mid November.The cold silent evening in Konoha was disturbed by my screams of anger and pain.

I screamed, cried, and started throwing blankets and furniture around my apartment looking for Lily, my daughter.

Could it be that Itachi Uchiha finally found her and took her from me???

"Lily-Chan what's wrong??", Naruto asked storming into my apartment.I guess he could hear my screaming all the way outside, and it wasn't like me to act this way.

I didn't answer him. I just kept crying and looking around. He grabbed my shoulders firmly and forced me to stay in place and look at him. "Lily what's wrong??"

"My daughter", I managed to say. "Someone stole my daughter!"

"What??", he was shock for I've never mentioned having a daughter all my time here."You have a daughter?? Think if you have any enemies that could of taken her?"

He had to say no more because as soon as he finished his sentence, I ran out the door .

I ran to Itachi's house. If she wasn't with Itachi then Tobi had her. I didn't get back to him for a year after our last conversation. Him stealing Lily was just an excuse to lure me to him and give him the answer of whether I would help him or not.

I ran despite the darkness of the evening not allowing me to see my surroundings. Or maybe my adrenaline was pumping that it didn't let me process my surroundings correctly.

I stopped running as I saw Tobi standing on the tree that was outside Itachi's house.

"Where's my daughter??!", I threatened a kunai to his neck.

His eyes traveled into Itachi's house.

I took a step back from him and I let go of the kunai knife. Was Lily in there? Was she with her father Itachi??

I jumped off the branch without thinking twice and ran inside the house. I quietly went through the rooms looking for Lily, but she was nowhere in sight. I enter Itachi's room and saw Lily laying down on his bed. I quickly turned around and gasped loudly as I bumped into Tobi who was behind me.

"Stop standing behind me", I said holding Lily closer to me. "Why do you do this with me? You stalk me, you take my daughter away-"

"Itachi is dead", he interrupted me.

I don't know how well planned he had it, but, in a blink of an eye, I was on my knees and he was carrying Lily.

"Sasuke killed him", he continued.

I should of killed Sasuke instead of targeting Itachi and his wife.

I looked down at the bed where Itachi and his wife would lay down. They're finally together. He is finally with the woman he loves, his wife Lily.Death separated us and I will never be able to be with him again. Not as a friend. Not as a lover. Not as parents to his daughter Lily.

"I'm sorry for your loss", he continued but I felt like nothing matter anymore. "I could tell how much he meant to you by the way you came every night and cried while he cried".

I quickly took baby Lily from his arms and walked out of Itachi's house not looking back.

Every dream, every hope of me ever having a life with Itachi Uchiha vanished.

Not only did I fail to avenge my death by killing Itachi Uchiha before Sasuke did, but also deep inside I know that I lost the opportunity of having a life with him.
