(Chapter 15 - Stone's POV)PART TWO

This is the way I am going to wake up for the rest of my life, I do not care how long it takes me. I desperately had to have her, but I would equally wait an eternity for her.

Ella's face was smushed up against my chest, her long, wispy lashes rested over her round freckled cheeks and her plump lips were slightly parted as her soft even breaths ran along my skin.

Her small hands rested against my chest, and I tried my very hardest not to shudder at the feeling, since I wanted this moment to last for as long as possible.

I wanted to wake her up, I wanted to hear her voice and listen to her witty comebacks, but I also selfishly wanted for her to stay against me, because I knew she would not stay like this when she awoke.

My cheeks burnt at my hardness that kept brushing against her leg, I kept staring at her face, willing myself not to look down at where her leg rested against me.

My heart began racing when I felt her stir, she let out soft little sighs for several minutes until her big brown doe eyes eventually squinted open.

I smirked down at her as she slowly realised when she was, I watched each little movement carefully, from her furrowed brows to the way her eyes squinted at the light, I watched it all and memorised ever single part of it.

I tightened my arms around her waist to confirm her silent realisation, wanting for her to look at me so that I can bask in the sight of her in the morning time.

It was the best sleep I had ever had, but I knew she was too stubborn to admit the same to me.

Her small hands felt around my chest and I shivered when she ran her fingers across my abdomen muscles. She rubbed at her eyes, a small gasp escaping her when my bare stomach came into her view.

She groaned into my chest, and I tried my very hardest not to make her aware that I was awake, since I wanted for her to stay like this for as long as possible.

Slowly and steadily, she tried to raise her body upwards but i did not let her, my arms wound even tighter around her small waist, holding her to me determinedly.

"Medusa." I grumbled "I am awake."

Her wispy brown lashes fluttered against her flushed cheeks as she blinked twice and looked up at me from her place again my chest.

Fuck.

She sat up quickly and jumped off me while exclaiming "Why did you not push me off you? Or throw me away?"

I sat up, not wanting for her to see the tent she had created in my pants but also wanting for her to return back to her place on my chest.

"Why would I do that?" I asked, desperate to reach out to her.

She stretched and brushed her small fingers through her beautifully messy hair, her messy, brown hair that she managed to make painfully sexy.

But I didn't tell her that, instead I decided to taunt with a single chuckle, "With your bed head you do look like Medusa"

"I didn't even get the chance to dye my hair back to green because you were here." She gritted out, trying to brush through her hair, "Anyway, you are hypocrite. Your hair is messy too."

I smirked at the fact that she had noticed that, I loved that she noticed my hair and I was thoroughly enjoying seeing her so flushed at the fact that she had slept on me all night.

"That is because a certain girl who slept on top of me kept touching it." I tell her, even though she didn't touch my hair. I wanted her to, though, but what I wanted more was to see her become even more flustered.

"Shut up!" She exclaimed, her cheeks shining a deep pink, "It is too early in the morning to deal with you."

I watched in awe with a smirk on my face as she paced across the living room, pretending as though she hadn't at all enjoyed sleeping on top of me.

"It was a coincidence that I ended up on top of you." She said, pointing a finger at me, "I was tired and I didn't know what I was doing. I have never done anything like that before."

My smirk dropped and I rose up to my height, towering over her as my mood suddenly shifted to one of preparation for violence, "I should hope so. I would have to go and kill someone."

As I stood right in front of her, my serious and tense stance softened when I hear the small rumble of her stomach.

Before I can throw her over my shoulder and take her to the kitchen, my attention flickers to her soft voice as she sheepishly questions, "Are you hungry?"

My eyes land on her lips as I say, "Ravenous."

"I make really great pancakes." She blurts out, and I smirk to myself at her even more flustered state—which I'm incredibly proud is all down to me.

"Just pick an ingredient."

"Apples." I say instantly with no doubt in my mind.

She nodded and I quickly followed behind her as she walked into the kitchen, I leant against the doorframe and watched in awe as her face scrunched up in concentration as she added in each ingredient.

God, I love her.

I smirked as I watched her grow more frustrated with herself as she tried to smash the apples with the wooden spoon, eventually deciding to help her when she looked as if she was genuinely about to scream.

I wound my arms around her small frame before standing right behind her and helping her crush the bright green apples.

She turned her head and raised an challenging eyebrow "Can you crush an apple in one hand?" Her soft raspy morning voice asked, almost distracting me from focusing on what she was actually saying.

I wanted to impress her, so I grabbed another apple from the bowl and brought it into my fist, watching her as she watched the apple crumble into small little pieces.

"Wow." She voiced quietly, but then her eyes widened and she covered up her compliment by crossing her arms around herself "That is hardly impressive. I could even do that, Lurch."

"Of course you can, Medusa." I chuckled, taking a seat on the barstool beneath the counter.

After a while of watching her concentrated self, I decided that I needed to be closer to her, I also wanted to inspect how much food my Medusa had in her house. My heart clenched and I suddenly became angry when I saw that the only thing in the fridge was one opened bottle of water.

"What are you doing?" Her voice called, unaware.

"Why is it the Grapes of Wrath in here?" I demanded to know, becoming angrier at myself for not checking this earlier.

She laughed, facing me despite there being no single thing amusing about the lack of food she had in her house."Was that a book reference I just heard from you?"

I ignored her comment, glaring at the empty shelves in the refrigerator.

"You just referenced Steinbeck." She sang, and I became more frustrated at the fact that she didn't think this was a problem.

"Why is there no food in here, Ella?" I barked out.

"I have not been grocery shopping yet." She lied.

I slammed the fridge door, storming back over to my chair as I began writing a list of things for her fridge that I needed to get and bring back here without her noticing.

She rolled her eyes, sliding a plate of two apple pancakes over to me. She couldn't see me as I instantly ate the pancakes, immediately wanting for this to be what I eat for my breakfast every single morning.

"Are they okay-?" She nervously questioned, but her words were cut short when she saw me sliding the empty plate back to her.

She bit her lip to fight back a smile as she questioned, "Do you want another one?"

I nodded.

"I guess big guys do have big appetites." She muttered, making me smirk.

"Does that mean you have a small appetite then?" I grumbled, trying not to laugh.

"I am not small!" She huffed, before blurting out, "I am going to eat you!"

I did not want to tell her that she could do what ever she wanted to me, I didn't want to scare her off so early in the morning and I also desperately wanted more of her incredible pancakes.

"Actually on second thoughts," She taunted, "breakfast is the most important meal of the day."

I stood from my place on the barstool, striding over to her until her back hit the counter. I stopped in front of her when our chests were mere millimetres apart, gazing down at her luscious figure hungrily.

Her hands reached beside her to grip onto the counter, and I instantly put my hands beside hers, trapping her before me.

"Your point, Drizella?"

She gripped onto the counter and lifted herself onto her toes so that she could whisper to me, "I don't think you taste good enough."

My whole entire being stilled.

"Fuck it." I grumbled beneath my breath, grabbing the backs of her thighs and lifting her light body up until she had no other choice but to wrap her legs and arms around me.

I set her on the kitchen counter, standing between her legs as I pull back to look at her. I brush my lips against the soft flushed skin of her face, lingering them near the corner of her mouth long enough to make her cheeks shine darker.

"Only one way to find out." I hoarsely grumble, desperate to find out.

I tightened my grip on her soft thighs as I pulled myself closer to her, holding onto her tighter to hold myself back from going all caveman on her.

The second I leant my forehead down to hers, the loud siren of the smoke alarm went off. I sighed when her eyes widened and she jumped out of my tight hold on her.

Shit, what have I done?

I hope I haven't scared her off, I hope she doesn't think I'm too impatient, I would wait forevermore for her.

What if I've ruined everything we'd been building?

I did not realise how hard I had been gripping the counter until I heard her voice sound from behind me, "You can have this pancake if you want."

I grumbled, my mind running quicker than the speed of my breaths. I couldn't reply to her, My words were lodged in my throat and my hands were glued to the counter.

"Shit. We have school." She cursed, bringing me back down to earth when she said, "I don't even have Kermit."

I pushed off the counter, running my hand along my jaw, determined to fix what I quite possibly could have broken, "I will drive you to school this week."

"It is fine." She breathlessly answered. "I'm okay walking."

"I'm taking you." I growled out, needing to spend as much time as I could with her.

"Does that mean more rides on your motorbike?" She asked hopefully, my whole mood brightening when she smiles up at me. I smirked as her cheeks flushed impossibly darker when I refused to take my eyes off hers.

She ran through to her room to get changed for school, using that as her excuse to run away from my determined stare.

I lean against to counter, scolding myself for almost ruining the best thing ever to happen to me.

———a/n - oh heyyy you guys! how are we all?
