chapter 28

Christina's POV

*time lapse to the day of the dance*

It's the dance this evening and me and Tris are so excited. No one has been able to concentrate all day and most of the teachers have just given up. Of course the only teacher who actually made us work was Ms Matthews. Tori got us all to help out by setting up the decorations, but that was really fun because we had music on and we were messing about a lot. We all have a free period last so we are all going to Tris' house to get ready, and then afterwards the entire gang is having a sleepover. When Tris told me how Four asked her, I was quite jealous because he was so romantic and Will just came and asked me. Obviously i was very glad he did but I sometimes wish that our relationship was like theirs, but I suppose Will has never cheated on me. The bell rings and we head out to Tris' car to wait for the girls. They come out a few minutes later, even Lynn is excited, she and Josh were going together and it is going to be our first time to properly get to know him because he is coming to the sleepover later. We all get into Tris' car and head to her house. We have four hours until the dance when we get there so we sit and chat and play just dance 2014 for an hour before starting to get ready. We all shower and do eachother's hair before changing into our dresses. (A/N if you don't remember Tris got a blue dress, tight at the top, the flows at the waist to mid thigh. the bodice is covered in gems. Chris got a similar dress that's hot pink, Lynn got a black, knee length dress and Shauna got a green dress, stopping mid thigh.)We all look amazing, especially Tris and we don't even have make-up on. We do eachother's make up giving us all smokey eyes with a hint of the colour of our dress and I had hot pink lip stick to go with my dress, so did Tris but the others all had blood red. We finish just as the boys knock on the door. Tris goes down and answers it with us following. When they see us their jaws drop. "mouths closed boys, you don't want to catch flies" said Tris laughing. They all close their mouths and blush. They walk in and Tris' mum takes a photo of all of us, as well as one of Tris and Four kissing.

Tobias' POV

We are all at Uriah and Zeke's house, or as we call it the Pedrad pad, getting ready for the dance. I feel bad for Uri because he has no one to go with but I am so grateful that he let me have Tris. I know that the girls have put Tris down for dance queen and the guys put me down as King, and I hope we win it! We get ready and head to Tris'. When we arrive and she opens the door she looks stunning, like no words can describe. She also looked hot, the dress showed her figure nicely and the blue made her tanned skin pop. "mouths closed boys, you don't want to catch flies" she says laughing. We all close our mouths and blush. We walk in and Tris' mum takes a photo of all of us and the one of Tris and I kissing. I'm surprised she is so cool about it. We put our stuff in Tris' room and leave.

Who should be king, Uriah or Tobias (Tris is queen)
