chapter 27

Tobias' POV

It has been a month since that day in the gym, Tris and Uriah are still together, but we are friends again, i still love Tris and haven't dated anyone since we broke up. Today we are going to the dauntless diner, just the three of us. I don't know how I am going to do this. I walk to the Dauntless diner and sit down.

Tris' POV

today Tobias, uriah and I are going to the Dauntless Diner. I still love Tobias and being friends is killing me, I don't know how I'm going to survive this. Uriah arrives at my house and knock on the door. I open the door and follow him to his car. he opens the door for me and we drive to the dauntless Diner, but he seems awfully quiet. When we arrive, he opens my door with tears in his eyes. "Uri, what's wrong?" i ask. "I know you still love him, and you will never love me that much. i am so happy to have had you this past month but it can't go on, and once more i am saving your relationship, by screwing up mine. I love you Tris, you know I do, so I need you to be happy. We can still be friends" I am so confused. he kisses my cheek. i finally rememer how to speak. "you know, you are the best friend ever right? thank you so much, you will find someone else, someone better han me, who will deserve you so much more." he laughs. "oh i don't know about that" he gives me one last hug and drives off. Okay, here it goes. i walk inside and see Tobias. oh my god i have missed him, I need those sparks!

Tobias' POV

I hear footsteps and look up to see Tris, but just tris, i thought Uriah was giving her a ride. "hey Tris, where's uriah?" she looked nervous. "erm well, we er. okay, here it is. i still love you, with all my heart, and he could tell and he said I should be with you and so the long and short of it is, we broke up and i still love you" I just stare at her. She still loves me? I don't even know what to say, well i do, but i can't get any words out. Come on Tobias, you can do this. "I love you too" i finally manage to croak out. She smiles. i missed her smile. i stand up, cup her face in my hands and kiss her. She kisses back. I feel firworks, I've missd them. We stand and kiss for a few minutes before we realise where we are and we sit down. A waitress comes over and i realise its Lauren. sh*t. "Oh hey Four, want to carry on where we left off the other night?" what! "Lauren, I haven't spoken to you since whe we threw you out and i certainly haven't done anything with you in two years, and even then we only kissed, so why don't you shove off?" She looks really angry and then she turns to Tris. "I honestly don't know what he sees in you, you are an ugly, plin, flat, short, stupid bitch!" then she slaps her, which kills me. I know if i were Tris I would punch her, but her being the bravest, smartest and most selfless person I know, she simply stood up and walked away, I don't know where but she looked like she was on a mission. "So Four, now that she's gone, you don't have to pretend anymore, you know you want me" I lauged. "No, lauren, really i don't, you sicken me" She looks angry. "mabe this will change your mind" she said angrily before leaning in and crashing her lips on to mine. I squirm and push her away. When i manage to get her off I look up to see Tris with the manager. "see what I mean, she flirted with my boyfriend, he rejected her, she insulted and slapped me and now she is sexually harassing him, now i strongly suggest she is fired before she starts trying to kiss anyone else" she says smirking. "Lauren, follow me to my office!" He demanded. Tris laughed as she sat across from me. "see, this is why I love you, anyone else would have gotten into a fight but you used your brain" she laughs. "i love you too" Then a male waitor comes over. "hi, what can I get you?" he looks at Tris and winks, I am abou to punch him but Tris gives me a 'I'll handle this' look. We both order and he looks back at Tris, "anything, else i can get you for instance my numner" he says smirkig. seriously am i just invisible or something?! "there is something else" she says seductivly, standing up. he looks really excited. she grabs his tie and pulls him in as though she was goin to kiss him. He closes his eyes, and puckers his lips. just as they are about to kiss, she yanks him to the side and growls in his ear. "you can get us a waitor or waitress who doesn't try to flirt with me or my boyfriend" she shoves him back. "now go" I say, he looks at me angrily and then storms off. We both burst out laughing, clutching our sides. "his... face... when you were... about to... kiss him" i said between laughs. "I know... he was all... like" and then she pulls the exact face, setting us both into hysteria again. The new waitress brings our food and laughs at us laughing. We finally pull ouselves together and eat. I am so happy, I have my Tris back.
