Chapter 9

The door slid open, revealing Kiel, who is now shocked as he saw me crying on the floor. He immediately ran towards me.

"W-What's wrong?" He asked worriedly.

"Huh?.. I-I just tripped.. Hehe.." I smiled, even though it hurts.

"Don't lie.." He immediately said.

I look up at him, my vision was blurred because of my tears.

"Tell me what's wrong," He said, caressing my back. I cried harder, covering my face to his chest, clenching his shirt. I never knew breaking up with the person you love hurts, even though I loved someone, it still hurts.

I just cried, and Kiel never pushed me away and kept comforting me until I calmed down.

ATHANASIA'S PERSPECTIVE:

Helena suddenly choked on her drink. "Th-They broke up?!"

"Hey!" I warned her. "Lower your voice.."

"S-Sorry.." She lowered her head. "But really? I'm sure they loved each other."

"Yeah, really," I muttered before I ate a spoonful of my lunch. "I heard from Jenny that Lucas liked someone other than her."

Helena narrowed her eyes and aggressively forked her meat. "He like someone?"

Poor meat...

"Wow.." She huffed. "What a jerk boyfriend, that's a good thing she broke up with him!"

"What's up?" Kiel suddenly sat with us, besides me.

"Kiel! Did you kno--"

"Didn't I said to lower your voice?!" I cut her off, looking around nervously.

Helena, again, lowered her head. "I'm sorry.."

"Uhh.." Kiel raised a hand. "Can I tell you something first?"

"Eh.. Okay.."

"Well... Did you know about what happened between Lucas and Jenny?" Kiel lowly said.

Helena slammed her hand on the table. "That's what we're going to tell you!!"

"So you know?" He slightly tilted his head.

I nodded sadly. "H-How do you.. Know?"

"I just saw Jenny yesterday.. crying.." He said. I gently patted his back and asked, "How is she?"

He looks down. "She still hasn't moved on.. How about Lucas, what was his reaction about it?"

"You don't wanna know about it.. He clattered down the chairs yesterday and walk out." I sighed. "He didn't even come to school today, he maybe doesn't want to see Jenny."

"What do you expect, they've been dating for 4 years then they broke up." He shrugged, sipping his juice box. We simultaneously sighed, lowering our heads to our food. I can't celebrate just because they broke up and I have now the chance to steal Lucas, it'll hurt Jenny's feelings. But why did Jenny broke up with him, she still loves him.... right?

"Uuh.. Did you two forget about me?" Helena raised her hand awkwardly.

After a whole damn class...AT HOME...

"I'm home!" I said as I put off my shoes, putting them on the rack. There was no response, I look around but no Lucas on the first floor. I walk upstairs to the guest room and saw Lucas playing some games. I sighed, putting my hands on my hips. I walk towards the plug and put it off, Lucas slowly turned in my direction. "What the hell?!"

I scoffed. "You're such a pain in the ass y'know."

"If I'm a pain then go away--!" He said.

"Can't move on?" I immediately asked, raising a brow. He paused and slowly look down to his console. "What does it have to do with you?"

I was taken aback by his words, and pissed. I stomped towards him and smack his head. "What does it have to do with me?! I'm your best friend for goodness sake!" God, that hurts. "And I'm the only one who knows about this and the only one who is trying to stay and comfort you."

"Then stop comforting me! Just leave me alone, good for you, you never knew what it feels like to let go of someone you care." He retorts.

"What the-- you don't know what I have felt 3 years ago!!" I snapped. "I'm here to comfort you because I'm scared to let you feel what happened to me that time when I had nothing to lean on with!"

He paused, confused about what I said. "Wha-What do you mean? You have everything."

"Not everything will never change for five years.." I whispered. "Every little bit of my happiness change 3 years ago and it will never go back to what it was.." I walk out of the room slamming the door behind me.

I stomped to my room and lock the door, I plopped myself on the floor, my hands clawing to my hair. I silently cried, I want to scream so badly but can't. I recalled my past 3 three years ago, people screaming, cars screeching, ambulance honking, and a person, a very important person in front of me.

I flinched, hearing a knock on the other side of the door. I did not answer, I don't want to face him, not now..

"Hey.. Answer me.. please..." I heard him mutter. I leaned my back on the door looking up to the ceiling, tears trickling down my cheeks. "I'm sorry..." I heard a bump on my door, assuming that he leaned his forehead on it. I bit my bottom lip, trying not to muffle a cry, my eyes widened as I hear these words,

"I'm here now.. You can lean on me, even if it's too late.."

I slowly stood up and unlocked the door, by the time I opened it, I jumped into his arms, crying. It's just a normal line yet I believed in it, hugging him like I needed him. We sat on the couch by the time I calmed down, Lucas still caressing my hand. "I'm so sorry.. I-I didn't know..."

I remained silent, not looking him in the eyes. "It's okay.. I just got into my past.. I'm the one who's sorry.." I muttered. He suddenly held my cheeks, caressing them. "No.. It's my fault, I didn't know that you were like that.. that's why you didn't contact me."

I smiled sadly, now gazing at his glistening ruby eyes. "Thanks.." I whispered, softly rubbing my cheeks on his right hand. Lucas rested his forehead on mine and said, "No, thank you."

We stared at each other, my heart's beating faster as I see his face closer to mine. Our lips were so close that If I move I would kiss him. He suddenly put his lip on top of mine, moving softly and gently, making me kiss back, putting my hands on his shoulders and onto his neck. He unexpectedly licked my lips asking for an entrance, I hesitated for a second but then opened my mouth. His tongue swiftly went into my mouth, circling, playing my tongue. I suddenly recalled Jenny's crying face, snapping me back to reality and pushed Lucas away.

"This isn't right..." I muttered. Lucas seemed very surprised and confused at the same time, but then he lowered his head. "Y-You're right.." He stood up and slowly walk out of the room, I heard the door clicked close behind me. I run my hands through my hair, staring at the floor.

"It's my fault.." I whispered. "I have to get them back together..."

I scratch my head with both hands, deeply annoyed by the question. Lucas is very good at this subject but he hasn't gone back home!! And I can't even face him!!

Why's luck is not on my side today?

"What do you want to ask?"

I stared at him, confused. "Ask what?"

He scoffed. "If it's nothing them I'm gonna go back upstairs."

"Gah! Noooo!!!" I instantly grabbed his arm, stopping him. I heard him smirk then move his face closer, making me blush. "Then what is it?"

"Just sleep.."

I hummed in response, I can't hide my blush, what happened to him?! He just suddenly kissed my forehead like it's a normal thing to do to anyone.

I immediately fell asleep, feeling the warmth of Lucas, as he wraps his arms around my waist, his chin resting on my head. It was a good sleep.

So I have a big explanation for you guys!!

About the important person, Athy was talking about was her father, Claude. He died in an accident, saving her from getting hit by a fast car. And about the dad her mom's talking about was just her stepfather, but don't worry!! Diana loved Claude, she didn't love that other guy. She's just forced to marry him because of business by her parents, the parents hate Claude ever since Diana introduced him to them.

But the last name will be Obelia, it is proof that Diana still loves Claude and it will never change.

I'm sorry that I killed Claude again..🤧🤧
