I heard my phone rings, and immediately answer it.

"Hello, mom?"

"Athy! I've got some good news!"

"Eh?! What is it?!"

"You'll be coming here in abroad with us!!"

"What?"

I scoffed. "Mom, why so sudden?"

"You're graduating right?! This year?!"

"Well... Yes but--"

"We really can't go back there.. And your dad and I decided for you to come here, with us!!"

"But mom..."

"I'm so excited to meet you again!! Opps, gotta go, bye!! Love you!!!"

"Mo--!" I just got cut off.

"Nasia!!" Lucas called from downstairs. "We're gonna be late, c'mon!"

"Ah! Coming!!"

My high school life's coming to end.. And I haven't told my mom that I don't want to come.

I sighed on my desk as I lazily listened to the professor in front, saying some numbers and stuff.

The bell rang after two lessons, I walk outside of the classroom with Helena for lunch then I saw Jenny walking towards our classroom, or not.

"Athy!" Jenny called. "Is Lucas still there?"

"Yeah, why?"

Why did I asked her that?! Obviously he's Jenny's boyfriend.. Psh..

"Uhh... Just some business.." She said. "Thanks, bye!"

I blinked and shrugged. "Let's go.. I'm hungry!!"

JENNETTE'S PERSPECTIVE:

Okay... Deep breaths...

Should I tell him?

Should I now?

Should I really tell him?

Well, I'm now here, so there's no turning back. I slid the door open, revealing Lucas sleeping on his desk.

I sat beside him, brushing his bangs off his eyes. I'm kinda scared about how he will react to this. We've been dating for 4 years and now I have to end this.

But somehow I don't want to, I don't want to let go of him.. Because I love him..

Please give me a sign that I should really break up with him... Please...

Lucas shrugged, making me flinch. He murmured about something, I move closer to him, to hear what he murmured.

My eyes widened as I heard a name...

He murmured, "Athanasia...."

I suddenly felt hurt, why is it now... Is this the sign that I've been praying earlier?

I sniffled loudly then suddenly Lucas woke up, sitting up. "Jennette?"

"Hi..." I sadly said.

"Hey.." He held my cheeks with one hand. "W-Why are you crying..?"

"Lucas... I love you... I really do.." I cried. "But, let's end this,"

.....

"What?"

ATHANASIA'S PERSPECTIVE:

Wait!!

I patted my skirt, finding my purse. EEEEEEHHHH?!

"Uhh... Miss, could you please reserve my plate for a sec, I forgot my purse.." I said, smiling awkwardly.

"Sure!" She replied.

"Thank you so much!" I said and ran back to the classroom, but before I slid the door open, I hid myself beside it as I saw Jenny staring at Lucas.

That was close!!

I peeked through the door, listening what they talking about.

"Lucas... I love you... I really do.." Jenny said.

Is she crying?

"But, let's end this."

My eyes widened... Did I heard that right?

"What?" I heard Lucas scoffed. "W-What do you mean?"

"...."

"You're breaking up with me?"

".... Yes...."

"Why?" Lucas said, I can tell that he's hurt. "You love me, then you're breaking up with me?"

"Lucas I--"

"I don't understand!!" I heard a chair, clacking on the floor.

"Then please let me explain!!" Jenny sobbed.

"....."

"I like someone, and because I can tell that you like someone too," Jenny said. "We've been dating for 4 years but nothing really special happened between us... I tried everything to make our relationship work but no... It's just normal, it's not like the us that we had when we first met..."

"Like? I didn't like someone.. Why are you talking nonsense?"

"I know you had, you just didn't admit it because of me.."

"......."

".. Lucas I--"

"Tsk!" I heard something fall and footsteps coming towards me.

Where should I go?!

Well, there's no choice!! I ran inside the classroom beside ours before someone, opened it.

I saw Lucas from the window, walking out of the room. I slowly walk out and immediately ran to Jenny, who is crying.

"Jenny..." I muttered, I kneeled beside her, caressing her shoulders. "The friend you mentioned the other day... Was it you?"

Jenny nodded slowly and suddenly hugged me.

"Please.." She sniffled. "Just leave me... Go comfort Lucas, he needed someone right now.."

"But--"

"Just go!" She let go. "Please..."

I hesitated for a moment but then walk out of the room walking where Lucas went.

I found him at the rooftop, leaning on the rails. I slowly walk towards him and patted his shoulders. "I heard everything..."

"Haha... I'm so lame..." He scoffed.

"Are you okay with that?" I said. "Letting her go?"

He turned his head to me then back to the sky. "Yeah.. Maybe..."

I look down. I can't be happy about this... Both of their hearts shattered and I, their friend, can't even do anything for the both of them.

The bell suddenly rings, but none of us moved. We just stood there staring blankly to nowhere.

"Want to ditch class?" I suggested.

"Yeah." He shrugged. "But someone might lock us here again."

I laughed. "You may be right!"

Lucas suddenly stared at me for a moment making me feel uncomfortable. He suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me into a hug.

"Thank you.." He whispered. "For being here with me.."

I smiled sadly and hugged him back. "You're welcome dummy.."
