40. Galvanize

It was the night before Halloween, so Stiles and I decided that like every year we were going to prank Coach, so around midnight we got to the school and went in the locker room to get to Coach's office. We first waited there for Scott but when he didn't show I called him, "Get you ass down here now Wolfy, we have a job to do." 

"Dude, I'm already in bed, and aren't we getting a little old for this?" 

Scott whined, Stiles took the phone from me and yelled, 

"We do this for Coach. You know he needs this, he lives for this stuff, he loves it." 

But then Scott again argued that it's the middle of the night. We then moved to Stiles locker and he opened it and started taking out bunch of stuff while I talked with Scott. "It's 12:15 actually, which means it's after midnight and officially Mischief Night/Day, and by  perfectly awesome coincidence, it also happens to be Coach's birthday. So, if you not down here in five seconds, we will destroy you. Okay? And I mean five, four, three, two..." As I started the countdown, Stiles and I turned and saw red eyes just inches away from us. We both startled and screamed. Scott just stood there laughing. "I hate you." I said as I tried to calm myself, but then he hugged us and said that we didn't. Shortly Isaac, Lydia and Allison also got their and we stayed in the school till 1 in the morning to complete the work.

The next day I decided to ride with Stiles as Isaac was a little busy and when we got to school we saw Scott standing with the Twins and when he asked were they back in school they said they wanted to talk to Scott. 

"That's kind of a change a pace for you guys, seeing as how usually you're just hurting, maiming, and killing." 

They ignored Stiles and said that the reason they were here was because they needed an Alpha and Scott needed a pack. "Yeah, you guys are really hilarious." I said fake laughing. Then they said that we went to them for help and they helped us. 

"You beat his face into a bloody pulp, that's not helping. In my opinion, that's actually counter-productive." 

Stiles said, then Scott asked why they think, he'll say yes and they said that they'd add strength and make him more powerful. According to them there was no reason for Scott to refuse, but before we could say anything we heard Isaac, 

"Well, I can think of one, like the two of you holding Derek's claws while Kali impaled Boyd. In fact, I don't know why we aren't impaling you guys right now." 

After this Aiden took out his claws and teeth and threatened Isaac. Isaac and I both moved towards them but Scott held our hand and stopped us, 

"I'm sorry, but they don't trust you and honestly, neither do I." 

Scott said and four of us moved inside. As we walked through the doors, I was about to get hit in the face by a toilet paper roll, but Isaac came in front of me and threw it aside and Stiles got hit in the face and he groaned. Isaac apologized and ran form there before Stiles could say anything to him. "Dude, you made a good Alpha decision." I said patting Scott's chest. After that we went to our lockers and as Stiles and I were taking out our stuff I noticed Scott staring at Kira. A smirk appeared on my mouth as I asked, "What are you looking at there, Scotty?" He got startled and said that he wasn't looking at anything. Then Stiles backed me up, 

"You were looking at her." 

"Who her?" 

Scott asked innocently, "Her, her. Kira. You like her?" I asked and he said that he didn't but then he paused and said that she was okay, and new. "So, what are you waiting for, ask her out." I said. Then he asked right now and I laughed, while Stiles wrapped his arms around mine and Scott's shoulder and said, 

"Rue is right. Scott, I don't think you get it yet. You're an Alpha, the apex predator, everyone wants you. You're like the hot girl that every guy wants." 

By that time Isaac also got there and pulled me in a hug, while Scott confirmed if he was the hot girl. "He is right Scotty, you are the hottest girl." I said controlling my laughter as Stiles smiled and left for his class. Then with a serious expression Scott claimed that he indeed was the hot girl and Isaac returned the expressions, 

"Yes, Scott, you are the hottest." 

Scott chuckled and left while I hid my face in Isaac's chest and we both also laughed. After that I went to my economics class, while Isaac went in Spanish. As we were sitting waiting for Coach, we heard him yell from his office and Scott, Stiles and I laughed and high fived as our prank of removing every screw from Coach's office was successful. Soon Coach came to class fuming, 

"Mischief Night, Devil's night, I don't care what you call it, you little punks are evil. You think it's funny every Halloween my house gets egged? A man's house is supposed to be his castle, mine's a freaking omelet." 

He yelled at us as we all laughed and then he picked up a gift box from his table and asked if we were doing this again. We were confused as we didn't plant that but seeing Coach throw it and then jump on it made us laugh, until a sound of glass breaking came from the box. Coach opened it and it was a birthday present, a mug with no.1 coach written on it with his photo from Greenberg. 

After our class ended Stiles and were going to Math when we saw Dad come in with few deputies, we asked him what he was doing here and he told us that William Barrow was on loose and was spotted near our school. "Wait a minute! The William Barrow? The Shrapnel Bomber, spotted nearby?" I exclaimed, then Dad stopped and came closer to us and whispered, 

"A little closer than nearby, actually." 

Then we saw Agent McCall come in with a lot more officers and ordering them to make sure nobody comes in or goes out of the premises. After that Stiles asked Dad what was really going on and he told us that they suspect Barrow is hiding in the school and then he explained us Barrow's history, how he went after kids who had glowing eyes and today when he was in surgery, flies came out of his tumor and he mysteriously woke up and walked out. After that I called everyone and we started to search for him. 

"Barrow went after kids with glowing eyes? He said those exact words" 

Isaac asked as he, Allison, Stiles, Lydia and I walked down the hall. "Yeah, and no one knows how he woke up from anesthesia. Just that when they opened him up, they found a tumor full of live flies." I said holding Isaac's hand as I could tell he was nervous. Then Lydia asked me if I said flies and I nodded, she shook her head and told us that all day she has been hearing this buzzing sound. Then Allison asked, if that sounds like flies and Lydia said that it exactly sounds like flies. 

Scott was still not answering his texts so we started to look for him as well. As Isaac and I were near the basement I got a call from Stiles, 

"Ruth, you need to get here right now, I have found Scott but police is leaving and Lydia is sure that Barrow is still here as the buzzing sound is very loud." 

"I'll be there in a sec." I said and then raced upstairs. I saw Stiles on exit stopping Dad from leaving. 

"We got an eyewitness that puts Barrow by the train station." 

Dad told us, then Agent McCall called him so he started to leave again. "Woah, woah! Dad please just... Lydia said that he's still here." Then Dad asked us if she saw him,

"Not exactly. Well, not at all actually, but she has a feeling. A supernatural feeling." 

Stiles explained and then Dad looked at Lydia who was standing at a distance, and said that Lydia wasn't on the chessboard. "Well, she is now." I said. Then he asked us if she was Kanima, and Stiles cleared that she was a Banshee. Dad sighed and rolled his eyes at us, "We know how it sounds, but basically it means that she can sense when someone's close to death." I explained, 

"Well, can she sense that I'm about to kill you two?" 

Dad yelled, "I don't know." I said and all of us looked at her and she smiled and waved at us which Dad returned, but then he started leaving again, 

"I'm not saying I don't believe, but right now, I'm going with eyewitness over Banshee. We're leaving a few deputies here, the school's on lockdown till 3.00. Nobody comes in, nobody goes out. Buddy, that's the best I've got right now. That's the best I can give you kids." 

He said and walked away, even after our pleadings. 

We informed Scott that Dad left and he said he had another plan ready, he had called Melissa and requested her to bring the gown Barrow was wearing so that he, Aiden, Ethan and Isaac could catch his smell. Then I suggested Allison that she study Bestiary and try to find anything about flies coming out of people's bodies. She said that it might take her all night as it was almost 1000 pages long. Then we helped her jump out of the window so that she could get out of the school. Then Lydia, Stiles and I went upstairs to find any clue about Barrow.

"Scott and Isaac are in the basement, right?" 

Lydia asked as we walked through the art room. "Yeah, with Ethan and Aiden. The plan is we meet in the middle, in the boiler room." I said but then Lydia stopped us, 

"All of the wolves... All of the one with glowing eyes are in the basement at the boiler room?" 

Stiles suddenly joined the dots and explained, 

"An engineer could use a boiler room to blow up the whole school." 

"We have to get them out of there. We have to get everyone out." I said and Lydia asked how do we do that, Stiles just took us out and pulled the fire alarm. Everyone started to get out but then Coach came and twisted Stiles ear and dragged him outside, 

"Pulling a fire alarm on Mischief Night is one thing, but doing it when there's a mass murder spotted nearby is insane! If I was four years younger, I'd punch you." 

He yelled at Stiles, "What? Coach, that doesn't even make sense." I said as he released Stiles, then he said that it made sense to him and walked away. Soon Lydia spotted Scott and everyone else so she grabbed our hands and took us there. As we reached there Aiden told us that they didn't find anything, not even a scent. "It's 3.00, so school's over, if there was a bomb wouldn't he have set it off by now?" Then Isaac asked if that meant everyone is safe and Lydia said that she didn't know. After that as we were discussing what we should do Mr. Yukimura approached us, and took Scott aside for a moment. When he returned he told us that Mr. Yukimura invited him over for dinner to thank him for saving his daughter, Stiles and I were were happy for him but he was very nervous, but regardless he agreed.

After school we went home, and Lydia also came with us. First I was going with them in Stiles room, but then I decided to give them some privacy and went in my room instead. I tried to write a little but I couldn't focus on it so I decided to mess with Isaac a little. I went in my bathroom and sent him a semi nude picture of myself. Then I came back into my room and started writing again. After few minutes my phone chimed when I looked it was Isaac's text, 

"I have blocked all porn sites." 

My cheeks flushed after reading that text but regardless I focused on my work. After a few seconds, I heard a thud sound. I quickly took out the knife, I had hidden in my drawer and started to inspect my room. As I was by my window, I felt someone gripping my shoulder so I turned and attacked them, and only when it was too late I realized it was Isaac. "Oh my god, I am so sorry. Why don't you ever inform me before coming." I said grabbing his face and inspecting the cut on his cheek. 

"Relax, it'll heal in a few minutes. And to answer your question you really thought I have the power to stay away from you after the photo you've just sent me." 

"Whatever, just know that I cannot entertain you right now as I have work to do." I said trying to hide my smirk, then I went and sat back on my chair and started to type. Shortly I felt him standing beside me, then he leaned in and said, 

"It's okay, you keep writing." 

**********Then he started kissing my neck and my center started throbbing by this mere action, but I controlled myself and try to push him away but then he lifted my shirt a little and started massaging my breasts. Then he slowly went down but I still tried to brush him off irrespective of the fact that I was completely drenched. He then slid his fingers over my thighs nearing my panties and whispered, 

"If you pull away from me again, I won't be responsible for what I'll do." 

I turned on more by his words even though I knew I shouldn't, then he slid his hand under my dress and started rubbing my center, I gasped pushing my head behind and closing my eyes but then he suddenly stopped gaining a cry from me. He again leaned in and whispered in a deep voice, 

"I told you keep writing, otherwise I won't let you come." 

Before I could argue with him he bit my earlobe and started kissing my neck again, and at that moment I knew there was no point in arguing as I was at his mercy, so I sat straight and started to write again, while his one hand started rubbing my center, and other hand played with my nipples all while he kept sucking the sensitive skin under my jaw. After a few seconds to make matters worse he pulled my panties aside and shoved two fingers inside me, and I moaned loudly. Taking it as a sign he fasten his movement while reminding me that he'll only let me come if I continued writing. I was overstimulated, but I didn't want him to stop so I kept writing. Soon I was on edge and couldn't control any longer, "Is...Isaac please. I can't anymore." 

"Well given you have been such a good girl, I'll allow you to come." 

He said and then turned my chair towards him and sat on his knees and started eating me while his fingers continued his job. I finally yelled his name, and came all over his face, then he looked up to me and said, 

"I'll never get over your taste. Do you know what you taste like?" 

 "No." I said, his eyes darkened as he said, 

"Like mine and don't you dare ever forget that."

Then I pulled him up and kissed while planning on how to get back at him for all this. Then suddenly I heard knock on my door. 

"Ruth, open up, we're going to school." 

I heard Stiles yell. I quickly ran in the bathroom to clean myself, while Isaac opened the door. Once I got out Stiles told me that he and Lydia were going to school and if Isaac and I want, we could join them. Even though I wanted to spend some quality time with Isaac I didn't want to let Stiles and Lydia go in the school completely defenseless so Isaac and I also joined them.

As we entered the Chemistry lab Stiles asked us if we notice anything and Isaac said that it smelled like chemicals and then something clicked in brain, "You guys wouldn't have been able to catch his sent, if he hid here." Stiles nodded, then we noticed a broken bottle on the floor and Stiles told us Barrow performed a very minor surgery on himself here and that Lydia was right. Then we started storming the ideas of who he was here to kill. As we were looking all over the room Isaac noticed something written on the board, then I went to have a closer look he asked what it was and I told him they were atomic numbers. Then Stiles and Lydia also got there and Stiles asked if it was formula, "Not really. 19's potassium. 53's iodine. 88's radium. The first tow make potassium iodide." I explained and then Lydia started to write their symbols in front of them but when she finished it spelled 'K I RA.' After that we called Scott, but he wasn't picking up so we decided to go to Kira's place and I suggested that Isaac go to Allison's house and help her look through the bestiary, he argued a little but at the end he budged.

As we reached outside Kira's house we saw Scott unconscious on the road, his head was bleeding as well. We all yelled to wake him up and after a few seconds he opened his eyes, 

"Barrow, he took Kira!" 

He told us. "We know, he was after her the whole time." I said. Then Scott called Allison to ask her if she found anything but she told him that she didn't find anything that could help right now, she just found stuff about flies and the dead. "We have to think of something, he's going to kill her." I said. 

"I knew he was there. How did I know that?" 

Lydia asked and Stiles reminded her that she heard the flies, so Scott asked her what did she hear now and she said nothing. She told us that she could feel that she could do something but she didn't know how. Then she started crying saying that she feels like it's on the tip of her tongue but she doesn't know how to trigger it and it made her want to scream. Then Stiles told her to scream, and when she did I felt like my ears blowing up but when she stopped she told us that it was not flies it was electricity. 

"Wait a second, Barrow was an electrical engineer, he worked at a power substation." 

Stiles told us. So after that we quickly went down to the power station. As we were going inside, we left Lydia in the car and told her wait for the police to come.

Scott ran way faster than us so we were a little behind him but then we heard him scream so we started to run faster but then the lights started to flicker. When we got in the room where Barrow was keeping Kira hostage, we saw Scott on the floor injured and next to him Barrow's burnt body and Kira standing with glowly eyes. Stiles helped Scott get up and then I saw Kira was very scared so I hugged her and reassured her that we'll help her. Then my phone started to ring, when I picked up it was Allison, she urgently called me over to her place saying there was somethin wrong with Isaac. By that time I heard sirens, Scott heard the call and told me to go from the backside while they'll handle this situation. I nodded at him and then left running form the backside. 

Luckily Allison's place was only a few minutes away from power station so it didn't took me that much time, but when I got there, Allison took me outside her room where Mr. Argent was beating the door and told me that Isaac has locked himself in the room and they could hear him screaming.
