Chapter 10

11:14, 1 August 2017

Father locked me in my room for three days, so far. Mary would bring me food and water and every once in a while, Sir Guy would pop in to have a little chat and to check up on me.

"Mary asked me about our night together." Guy says while shutting the door behind him.

I lay down my quill pen. "Um."

Guy stalked closer. "Do you care to explain?"

I fear that there's no words to say, Sir Guy."

He pulls a chair next me. "Do I have to make you tell me?" Guy ran his finger up the side of my thigh.

"To say the truth I like being ordered around." I said with a smirk on my face. Getting up, I took my pen and put it away in a silver chest my Aunt Davina gave me when I was young. "A few days past, I went to see you. The night was late. Your servant told me, you were with Marian that night, so I left."

"Sirena, do you think something happened between Marian and I?" Guy asked, concerned.

I turned to him on the balls of my feet. "It was late. I'm not sure what was going on."

Guy stood up and come near me. "Sirena, nothing happened between Marian and I. She came to me to ask for freedom. Sirena, you are the only woman in my life." Guy got down on his knees and hugged my waist. "You have to believe me."

I was shocked at first. He was so close. Not knowing what to do, I placed my hand on his head. "I believe you, Guy. Don't worry." I fell down onto my knees. Guy was taller than me, so I hugged his chest. My arms went around him while his arms went around me. We sat on the floor in my room hugging.

Everything felt perfect, until Mary walked in. "Oh, I'm sorry Miss. I'll come back later."

"No, Mary come back." I said while getting up, off the ground.

"What do you want?" Guy asked coldly.

"The Sheriff calls for Lady Sirena, Sir." She says quietly.

"Speak up!" Guy yelled.

"Guy! Please." I interrupted. "Mary is a friend."

I smiled when Guy back away. I followed her down stairs.

Entering a room, I did not know, I saw father sitting at a desk with a paper in his hand. I did not say ant words, for I did not want to get in trouble.

"Leave us." He ordered Mary.

Guy and I watched Mary leave.

"Sirena, I am sorry about how I treated you the pass few days. That's why it would be a please if you joined the ceremony tonight. Gisborne will go with you to get some dresses."

"A ceremony, for what, MY Lord?" I asked, edging closer to Guy.

"Since, you are my blood, I can tell you. The ceremony is for a signing of an important document. The Black Knights are coming. Now off you go."

Gisborne and I went to the court yard to find cloth for dresses.

Later that day we waited for Lord Winchester to arrive. When he did, father ordered Guy to show Lord Winchester to his room. When Lord Winchester went to follow Guy, he watched me. Winchester gazed at me as if he knew me.

Gisborne, clearly not liking the look, sternly said. "MY LORD, this way."

"Ah, yes." he said confused as he followed Guy.

I went back to my room to look at the beautiful dresses I ordered with Guy. There were six of them. One, black like the leather Sit Guy wears. Another, green like the wonderful forest. They all were lovely! My favorite was the one Guy picked out. It was dark blue and had a white flower pattern. As I was putting the dresses away, Guy rushed in.

"Guy?" I said surprised.

"You're leaving! Now!" He ordered.

"What? Why?"

He came over and started to pull the dresses back out. "Winchester's made a deal with the Sheriff. You've become part of the negotiation. Winchester wants you."

I stood up and clanged to Guy's arm. "He can not have, Guy."

"The Sheriff has agreed. I cannot protect you. Sirena, listen to me. You have to run, now."

"Guy, I can't leave. I love you."

He placed his hand on my face. "I love you too. That's why you have to leave. If the Sheriff knew I was doing this, my own life would be in danger." Guy took my hand and out a bag of cons in it. "You must leave this place. This money will secure your passage and I've instructed a man on the west gate to let you out." Gisborne ran his fingers through my hair then kissed me goodbye.

"Good luck. Now go!" He ordered while leaving.

After I was done packing, I was just about to leave, when my fathers guards came in and chained me. They took me to Lord Winchester's quarters.

"I will not be treated like this!" I gritted my teeth to the grey haired creep.

"She is pretty, till she talks." Winchester joked to the men while leaving.

I was stuck in chains, in a room, alone. I could do nothing but sit down.

Oh, how I long for Sir Guy.

Outside, the horns sang. I rushed to the window to see what was going on. My father had two men standing on a long piece of wood that laid over a large boiling pot of what looked like tar.

"The invincible and legendary Robin Hood" Father said mocking and laughing Hood. "And his Friend Allan A Dale." He announced.

Guards came into the room and carried me down stairs. I fought and begged them to let me go but orders were orders. They placed me next to the old man that wants me. Winchester snuggled up next me wrapping his arm around my waist as Robin and Allan began to fight.

"Music!" Father ordered while enjoying the fight.

Robin Hoods men attacked. They were dresses as artist. I'm thinking that's how they snuck in. Why are the guards so dumb? Robin and his men fought the guards and disappeared behind the flaming wall Hood created.

"Time to leave, my dear." Winchester said, smelling my neck.

We were in his carriage, ready to head to his home.

I can't believe my own father is making me go with this baboon

The chains were still on me as I sat there quietly next to Winchester.

He was very touchy. I didn't like it, so I ordered him to remove his hands.

"Spirit." He purred.

Suddenly the carriage stopped. Winchester jumped out to see what was going on. I could hear voices outside but the words were unclear.

Guy popped his head into the carriage.

"Guy!" I almost started to cry. He gave me his hand and helped me out. Winchester was on the ground, dead.

"You're safe now, Sirena." Guy said, unlocking the chains.

"Thank you." I said, hugging him.

Father, sat there on his horse with a smile. "Sweet, very sweet."

I smiled back. Guy lifted me up on the back of his horse. I clung to Guy as we rode back to the castle.

When we got back, I had Mary draw me a bath. The warm water felt so nice, I think I almost feel asleep a few times.
