You're all set

The next morning Taylor and jay woke up early just so they could go to med for taylors physical, she was happy to be leaving the house for the first time in over two weeks.  Jay smiled as she put her boots on, "what?" She smiled back, jay just shrugged his shoulders, "nothing" he smiled again, he just liked watching her do things even the simplest of things were cute when she done them.  She laughed and shook her head as she grabbed her badge and gun from their safe in their room.

"I'll wait here" jay nodded as he sat down in the waiting room, Taylor smiled and nodded as she walked over to Will and gave him a hug, jay couldn't be luckier, he has an amazing girlfriend who is loved by his brother, win win situation.

Taylor followed Will into a room where Natalie was waiting for her, "I'll see you later Tayls" Will smiled and left the girls to it. Natalie began assessing taylors ability to move and walk around, "any pain when moving around?" Natalie smiled. Taylor shook her head, "nope, just a little discomfort every now and then" she smiled back. Natalie nodded, "alright well you'll be glad to know you're all set. Just don't be doing anything too strenuous for the first week or so and try to stick with light work loads" she smiled. Taylor smiled and put her jacket back on, "copy that" she nodded as Natalie opened the door for her.

                 Taylor walked back into the waiting room with a doctors note and a smile on her face, "I can go back to work" she smirked like an excited 4 year old with a new toy.  Jay smiled, "does that mean you won't complain anymore?" He raised an eyebrow as the pair walked out to his truck, Taylor smiled, "mmhmm" she hummed and looked out at the kids playing around the hospital car park. The pair drove to work since they were just about on time now and Taylor couldn't help but smiled the whole way there which made jay smiled too.

                "welcome back sunshine" trudy smiled as the pair walked into the district for the first time in over two or three weeks.  Taylor smiled, "thanks Sarge" she smiled, jay waved and smiled as the pair wandered over to the gate.  Taylor chuckled to herself as she heard Kim and Adam bickering even from the bottom of the stairs, "look who it is" Kevin chirped up which made the whole team look at them.    They all jumped up excitedly, "welcome back Tayls" Vanessa enveloped her in a hug, Taylor smiled and hugged her back, jay also got some greetings but no where near as many sat Taylor did.  The team were just still in shock that she survived the whole ordeal.

Hank walked out and smiled at the pair, "you good to go?" He gave her a quick hug, Taylor smiled but jay answered for her, "desk duty and light work only, doctors orders" he pointed a finger at his girlfriend. Hank nodded, "you know what to do" he took the doctors note from her hand. Taylor smiled and sat down at her desk, it felt good to be back even if she was bound to her desk for the time being. "I bet she's been driving you crazy" Adam laughed and raised an eyebrow at jay. Jay just laughed and nodded, "hey! I had a good excuse..." Taylor shrugged and threw a pen at her partner.

                 Unfortunately for Taylor the team got called out to an active crime scene and it would probably involve running around so Taylor had to stay in the bullpen, "have fun" jay tapped her desk as he looked back at her and left.  Taylor just smirked and rolled her eyes, queue the boredom.  She was a little worried, not because of jay being out in the field since she knew he was more then capable of doing his job, but she didn't like being left in the dark.  Anything could happen to him or any of the team and she'd be the last one to find out, she pushed the dark thoughts aside and got up to go make herself some coffee.

She had nothing better to do then crack on with paperwork so that's what she did, turns out she didn't have as much as she expected and she ploughed through it in no time. Taylor being the helpful little angel she is reached over to grab jays share of paperwork, he had a little more then she did but she still wanted to do it out of pure boredom. She left out the personal paper that he had to complete himself but done the forms and all that jazz for him. Once she was done she placed the pile back on jays desk again and sat back in her chair, the team had been gone for about an hour cans she was already bored.

                 She was sat on her phone waiting for any signs of the team to come back, boredom was getting the better of her so she resorted to playing crossy road for some odd reason.  She was snapped out of her thoughts when trudy walked into the bullpen, "Watson, looks like you're getting pretty popular. It's your first day back and you're already getting mail" she laughed and threw an envelope over to her. Taylor smiled, "thanks Sarge, have you heard from the team yet?" She pouted, trudy laughed, "sorry I haven't, boredom killing you?" She leant on the younger woman's desk. Taylor laughed, "so much so I've already done mine and jays paperwork" she nodded. Trudy gasped, "well thats definitely not boring" she smiled sarcastically and left again since she was busy.

                 Taylor drew her attention back to the letter, mail? Already? What the hell... She sat up curiously, kind of liking the attention from whoever sent it, and opened the envelope.  She pulled out a tiny business like card that was wrapped up in a plain A4 sheet of paper but she was really confused, on one side it was plain but on the other side it had the letter 'O' on it.  She couldn't tell if it was an 'O' or a '0' as in the number zero but she was still confused either way.  She furrowed her brows again but thought nothing of it, sure it was strange but nothing really stuck her as worrying.  She threw it all in the bin but something didn't sit right with her so she reached down into the paper bin and pulled the envelope and cars back out. 

                 She heard the team walking up the stairs so she quickly slipped the card back into the envelope and threw it into the top drawer of her desk.  "Hey" jay smiled as he leant on her desk.  Taylor smiled back, clearly already forgetting about the note, "hey" she raised an eyebrow.  Jay smiled, "miss me much?" He smirked.  Taylor laughed, "you know it" she nodded, he smiled but had to get on with gathering up the evidence that they found on the crime scene.  Kim caught Taylor up to speed with everything so she could help during the case even if it meant her staying upstairs and leaving them to do the field work.
