CHAPTER 12: the cook-off (part 2, electric boogaloo)

AUBREY: SUNNY.SUNNY.SUNNY!!

SUNNY woke up to an excited AUBREY.

SUNNY: 2 m-more minutes.Please.

AUBREY: NO!Today is the day sweetie!

SUNNY: they made stabbing ANNAO legal?

AUBREY: uh... No.But today it's the day of the cook-off!

SUNNY: Oh.Right.

SUNNY got up and got ready.

AUBREY: You look so cute!

SUNNY: T-thanks.

They exited the dormitory and went to the campus, just to see an absurd amount of people hyped to see some stellar cooking.

PRINCIPAL: Welcome everyone!To the annual cook-off of COLLEGE!

Crowd: *cheers*

PRINCIPAL: we have 8 contestants on this year's cook-off, so let's wish them all good luck!

(The cook off begins...)

PRINCIPAL: our first round of the cook-off starts with.....ANNAO YANCE and COOK GUY!The theme of this round is...*Drumroll*Sea life!The main dish is sea food related!Good luck participants!

ANNAO: OHOHOOHO!this is going to be easy!

ANNAO then started frying two fishes at once with one hand, while using the other to chuckle.OHHOOHOHO!

COOK G: WHAT???IS THAT ALLOWED??

PRINCIPAL: As long as it's not ilegal, i guess it is!

COOK G:oh geez I better do my best!

COOK GUY then started preparing some shrimp.

ANNAO: Give up while you can!Or face my cooking fury!

ANNAO was making the dishes at light speed.

SUNNY: AUBREY.Can I bail out?

AUBREY: what?No!You haven't even cooked yet!

SUNNY: but I'm sleepy, and she's actually good at cooking.

AUBREY: i have a solution to one of those!

SUNNY: do you?

AUBREY: yes!You can sleep in my lap!

as much as she said it confidently, AUBREY was blushing.

SUNNY: thanks.

SUNNY then fell asleep on AUBREY'S lap.

ANNAO: there!All the dishes are done Mr.PRINCIPAL!

PRINCIPAL: wow! That's impressive!

COOK G: YOU'RE ALREADY DONE?HOW?I'M STILL MAKING THE FIRST DISH!

ANNAO:Stop whining plebian!Nothing and no one will stop me from getting the mute prince from the pink haired girl!

AUBREY'S MIND: I would go beat her up, but SUNNY'S sleeping on my lap.

PRINCIPAL: time for the taste test.

The PRINCIPAL eats one of ANNAO'S dishes.

PRINCIPAL: PERFECT!The winner of this round is ANNAO YANCE!

Crowd: *weak cheer*

ANNAO: YES! YES!CHEER FOR ME!

someone throws a paper on ANNAO.

ANNAO: *grumble* you'll see who will be throwing paper at whom after I win! *grumble*

(2 rounds later...)

AUBREY: SUNNY!Time to wake up!It's your turn to cook!

SUNNY Wakes up

SUNNY: A-are we married already?

AUBREY blushes.

AUBREY: N-no. The cook-off!

SUNNY: Oh.Right.That.

SUNNY gets out of his seat and gets ready.

PRINCIPAL: And now!SUNNY versus COOK DUDE!

Crowd: *cheers*

PRINCIPAL: this round's theme is....*Rollsdrumming*Meat!

SUNNY: easy.

SUNNY grabs 2 steak knifes and starts slicing and dicing the meat, with no signs of stopping.

COOK D: let's carefully cut this here...AHHH!HE'S JUST CHOPPING EVERYTHING!

SUNNY then selected specific cubes of the meat he tore to cubes.

SUNNY: perfect.

SUNNY then starts cooking the meat cubes with 1 pan on each hand.

AUBREY: Woo!Go SUNNY!

SUNNY puts the readied cubes on a plate, while cooking the rest.

COOK DUDE is just losing it.

SUNNY finishes cooking the cubes.

SUNNY: a bit of pepper here..Some onion bits to add some taste..DONE!

PRINCIPAL: wow!It seems like ANNAO is not the only speed chef here!Now for the taste test!

The principal eats some of the meat cubes.

PRINCIPAL: wow! Incredible!SUNNY wins this round!

COOK DUDE: WHAT?I DIDN'T EVEN FINISH MY DISH!

SUNNY: sorry.

SUNNY went back to his seat.

PRINCIPAL: Now for the semi-finals of the cook-off!

COOK LAD versus ANNAO YANCE!

The semi-finals and the finals have no thematic or limitations!Go crazy chefs!

COOK L: you may be good YANCE, but I am better!I have been cooking since I was a child!

ANNAO: I was born in a kitchen!Your childish era is nothing compared to my cooking expertise since I was born!

COOK L: Let's put that to the test shall we?

COOK LAD started frying some chicken.

ANNAO was making some soup.

COOK L: HAH!Your soup looks good, but my chicken looks better!

ANNAO: Oh?Did you think I was just going to make some bland soup?I'm a speed chef dearie!I cook 2 dishes on the time it takes to you to finish one!OHHOOHOHO!

COOK L: QUANTITY IS NOT QUALITY!

COOK L was putting the final touches on the fried chicken, while ANNAO was now cooking some shrimp.

COOK L: Almost...Almost...Just a little bit more of this...ANNND DO-

ANNAO: DONE!I made a classic fish soup and cooked some shrimp to go with it.

COOK L: i made some fried chicken.

PRINCIPAL: Time for the taste test!

The PRINCIPAL eats COOK LAD's chicken.

PRINCIPAL: very well done!Now for ANNAO'S dish.

The PRINCIPAL drinks some of ANNAO'S soup, while also eating the shrimp.

PRINCIPAL: ANNAO goes to the finals!

Crowd: *slight cheer*

ANNAO: YES! YES! YESSSS!!!!SOON HE'LL BE ALL MINE!MINE!!!!!

KEL and BASIL then suddenly appear.

BASIL: sorry we were late, what did we miss?

AUBREY: well, miss Annoying over there is going to the finals.

SUNNY: and so am I.I'm going to destroy her.

PRINCIPAL: And now!The second round of the semi-finals of the cook-off!SUNNY versus COOK MISS!

COOK M: oh dear!I wouldn't imagine my adversary would be so cute!

SUNNY: i have a girlfriend.

COOK M: well she's lucky!Now, flirting aside, i am not going to hold back!Get ready!

SUNNY: *sigh* this is going to be quick.

SUNNY started slicing and dicing steak, to make his favorite dish.Steak with spaghetti.

COOK M was doing macarons, each one of a different taste.

COOK M: i am going to be victorious dearie!Give up and go back to your mama!

SUNNY looked at COOK MISS while holding a knife in a menacing way.

COOK M:*gulp* forget i said anything!

SUNNY was preparing everything precisely and quickly, with no mistakes.He was in a state in which he couldn't be bothered by anything or anyone.

COOK MISS's macarons were almost ready.But so was SUNNY'S steak and spaghetti.

COOK M: THAT TROPHY IS MINE!

SUNNY looks at her with a smug face.

SUNNY: is it?DONE!

COOK MISS: DONE!

PRINCIPAL: another incredible performance!Now for the taste test!

The PRINCIPAL eats one of COOK MISS'S macarons.

PRINCIPAL: these are tasty!Now for SUNNY'S dish.

He then eats a bit of the steak with spaghetti.

PRINCIPAL: there's no contest here folks!SUNNY wins!

Crowd: *big cheer*

PRINCIPAL: now.It's time for the finals!!SUNNY VERSUS ANNAO YANCE!!

AUBREY: GO SUNNY!KICK HER BUTT!

ANNAO: YOU WON'T BEAT ME!FOR I AM ANNAO YAN-

SUNNY: can you please shut up.

ANNAO: That's not how you talk to your future dar-

SUNNY: I don't even know you.Leave me alone.Please.

ANNAO: you still don't remember me...Let me refresh your memory!I am your neighbor.I saw you every day, never talking to other people.I loved how mysterious you were.And so I came to this college, in hopes of conquering your heart!

SUNNY: then you're a stalker?That's it?*Sigh* let's just end this.

AUBREY then throws a ball on ANNAO'S direction, but barely misses.

AUBREY: oops.My hand slipped.

PRINCIPAL: it seems like there's a lot of tension in the air everyone!Let's hope this final is the best one of the history of COLLEGE!

Crowd: *cheers*

KEL: GO SUNNY!

BASIL: YOU CAN DO IT SUNNY!I BELIEVE IN YOU!

AUBREY: SUNNY!DO YOUR BEST!REMEMBER YOUR TRAINING!

PRINCIPAL: Are you two ready?

SUNNY: I always AM ready.

ANNAO: I was BORN ready!

SUNNY started preparing everything in the speed of sound, with ANNAO right behind.

ANNAO: YOU WILL BELONG TO ME!!!OHHOOHOHO!

SUNNY: I said.SHUT. UP!

Both SUNNY and ANNAO were not holding back, with SUNNY putting the strength of his hate for ANNAO, and his love for AUBREY in every move.

ANNAO chuckled and cooked at the same time, enraging every professional chef in existence.

ANNAO: OHHOOHOHO!HAHAHAHAHHA!OHAOHAHAHAOAHA!!!!I AM UNBEATABLE!

SUNNY ignored ANNAO'S mockery, and cooked with pure raw power!

SUNNY was making the most beautiful, tastiest chocolate cake of history!

ANNAO was making an vanilla cake.

SUNNY then put the cake in the oven.He adjusted the temperature and just waited.

ANNAO also put her cake in the oven.

(Some time later...)

*Ding!*

SUNNY and ANNAO took their cakes out of the oven at the same time.

SUNNY and ANNAO: DONE!

PRINCIPAL: AT THE SAME TIME!time for the FINAL taste test!

The PRINCIPAL ate one slice of each cake.Suspense and tension were in the air.

ANNAO was crossing her fingers, while SUNNY polished a knife.

PRINCIPAL: after some insightful tasting, i declare the winner is.....SUNNY!

The crowd went wild, with everyone screaming SUNNY'S name.

AUBREY hugged SUNNY and spun him around.

AUBREY: You did it!You won!SUCK IT YANCE!

ANNAO: this can't be!I'm supposed to win!I'm ANNAO YANCE!

KEL: dang.You're annoying.

ANNAO burst into tears and ran away.

ANNAO: I'll *sniff* be back!Uahhhhhh!!!

SUNNY: finally, she's gone!

SUNNY kisses AUBREY passionately.

PRINCIPAL: congrats SUNNY!You win 200 bucks!

SUNNY: c-cool.Zzzzz.

AUBREY: aww.He fell asleep.Guess I have to carry him to bed.

AUBREY carried a sleeping SUNNY back to the dormitory.

SUNNY then opened his eyes a bit.

SUNNY: T-thanks AUBREY.

AUBREY: no problem sweetie.You can always count on me!

SUNNY kissed AUBREY and squeezed her hand.

SUNNY: I love you.

AUBREY: I love you too.

AUBREY put SUNNY on the bed and they started kissing non-stop.

SUNNY: Good *smooch* night *smooch* AUBREY.

AUBREY: Good *smooch* night SUNNY.

They fell asleep, while holding hands.
