CHAPTER 11: the cook-off (part 1)

AUBREY woke up cuddled up with SUNNY, that was peacefully sleeping.She touched SUNNY's silky smooth black hair and looked at him sleeping.

*BZZT*BZZT*

AUBREY checked her phone to see that it was KIM.

KIM: Did you and SUNNY work all that out?

AUBREY: yes.And it was great.

KIM: WAIT, DID YOU TWO..

AUBREY: yes.

KIM: congrats!When's the wedding?

AUBREY: pfft.

KIM: what is he doing right now?

AUBREY: Sleeping.It's kinda cute.

KIM: was he good at it?

AUBREY: why would you want to know?

KIM: just asking for fun.

AUBREY:...good.

KIM: what? Are you afraid someone will take him from you?

AUBREY:...a bit.

KIM: don't worry ok, he wouldn't do you dirty like that.Gtg now bye!

AUBREY: Bye!

SUNNY woke up and looked at AUBREY.

SUNNY: G-good morning AUBREY.

AUBREY: Good morning SUNNY!Did you sleep well?

SUNNY: y-you're here, s-so yes.

AUBREY: why are you so freaking adorable?I wanna pinch your cheeks while I kiss them.

SUNNY looked at the campus.It was raining.

SUNNY: w-we should get ready.

AUBREY: yea.

AUBREY went to the bathroom to take a bath, while SUNNY made breakfast.

KEL then woke up at the smell of the pancakes SUNNY was making.

KEL: GOOD MORNING SUNNY! GOOD MORNING AUBREY! Oohh are those pancakes?

SUNNY: yes.Take one.

KEL: you're the best SUNNY!

BASIL also woke up.

BASIL: good morning everyone!

KEL: morning BASIL!

BASIL: can I have a pancake too?

SUNNY: S-sure.

AUBREY finished her bath and went out the bathroom.

AUBREY: good morning you guys.Pancakes?I love those!

SUNNY: H-here.

AUBREY: thanks SUNNY.

Everyone then ate their pancakes and took a bath.

KEL: wow! SUNNY those pancakes were perfect!Is there more?

AUBREY: as much as I'd love to eat more too, we should go to class right now.

they then went to class.

After class...

SUNNY finished class, sat on the bank and laid his head on AUBREY's shoulder.

AUBREY: hi SUNNY how was class?

SUNNY then handed a poster to AUBREY.

"Come to the great college cook-off!The best students from the cooking course this year will face each other to make the best banquet possible!"

???: HOHOHOHO!

An sense of annoyance washed over SUNNY and AUBREY, as they heard a smug blonde, green-eyed girl laugh.

???: This will be easier than making pie!My name is ANNAO YANCE and I'll win this cook-off!

SUNNY knew ANNAO was going to be a problem in the cook-off, she is his classmate after all.

ANNAO then came closer to SUNNY and AUBREY.

ANNAO: AND YOU! My mute rival!I shall not only win the cook-off but also your heart!

AUBREY: WHAT.

ANNAO: yes! Yes! I'll have everything I ever want! Including him!~

AUBREY: touch one bit of him and I'll break your bones!

ANNAO: Oh! How brute of you!But you shall not stop fate!HOHOHOHO!

SUNNY: N-no thanks.

ANNAO: to attempt from stopping yourself at loving me, you should not use words!

AUBREY: can he use bats on your knees?

SUNNY: can I stab you with a knife?

ANNAO: of course not!You shall fight fate with your cooking of course!See you there charming~HOHOHOHO!

ANNAO then leaved to the pleasure of SUNNY and AUBREY.

AUBREY: what does she want of you?

SUNNY: i don't know.I-i just cook well.

AUBREY: you need some training.Serious cooking training!Goodly enough i know someone..

SUNNY: HERO?

AUBREY: Yes.

AUBREY then did a video call with HERO using her phone.

HERO: Oh! Hello AUBREY!How are you and the others doing?

AUBREY: we're doing fine, but someone needs some help with cooking.

HERO: oh! Who is it?

SUNNY then walked in front of the camera.

SUNNY: h-hi HERO.

HERO: O-oh. SUNNY.How are you?

SUNNY: G-good.

HERO: good to know.So, are you taking cooking classes now?

SUNNY: y-yes.

AUBREY: his food is simply magic!But the cook-off is near and a girl named ANNAO looks determined to win.

HERO: i see.Well time for some training!

(One training montage later...)

HERO: you are doing well SUNNY!Now for this last training i will need AUBREY'S help.

AUBREY: Me?What will I do?

HERO: you'll carry SUNNY!

Both AUBREY and SUNNY blushed.

AUBREY: what is this training all about?

HERO: cooking on the move!Sometimes you have to do a dish in constant movement, and you won't have full control.This training is to see how SUNNY can manage cooking while not stopping.Are you two ready?

SUNNY jumped on AUBREY'S arms.

SUNNY: R-Ready.

AUBREY: R-Ready!

HERO: ok 3, 2, 1, GO!

AUBREY then started running around multiple tables that formed a circle, while carrying SUNNY.

SUNNY started making a pizza with scary speed and accuracy, while not stopping for nothing.

HERO: Wow! You two are doing well!

SUNNY: H-hey AUBREY.

AUBREY: *huff* yes SUNNY?

SUNNY: Can you go a bit faster?I need to put the pizza in the oven.

AUBREY: Sure!

AUBREY then ran slightly faster.

SUNNY: T-thanks.

He gave her a kiss in the cheek.She started running at supernatural speeds with that kiss, while intensely blushing.

SUNNY then put the pizza in the oven and set the clock for 30 minutes.

SUNNY: there.Did it.

HERO: it's not over yet!The pizza is not fully ready!It's still in the oven and you have to watch out or it'll burn!

SUNNY'S MIND: dammit.He's smart.Nor complaining about being carried by AUBREY though.

AUBREY: SUNNY, you are so light!It's like a feather!

SUNNY: T-thanks. I guess.

AUBREY: uh HERO?

HERO: Yes AUBREY?

AUBREY: How much longer will i have to keep running?

HERO:  For as long as it takes for the pizza to get ready!

AUBREY's mind: BEST 30 MINUTES OF MY LIFE!

AUBREY: thanks for telling me.

(30 minutes later...)

AUBREY: *huff*huff* Is, is it over yet?

SUNNY: yes. We just need to get to the oven.

AUBREY: i love carrying you SUNNY, but I'm tired.

SUNNY: Y-you like c-carrying me?

AUBREY: Yes!You're just so damm cute!

SUNNY: T-thanks.

SUNNY blushed while he took the pizza out of the oven.

HERO: Annnddd done!Congrats!Now you are ready for the cook-off!

SUNNY: why did we have to do this one again?

HERO: because you two are cute together, and to see how you do cooking on constant movement.I gotta go now!Bye!

*Click*

AUBREY then put SUNNY down.

AUBREY: when's the cook-off again?

SUNNY: Tomorrow.

AUBREY: Good.We'll get to see ANNAO's stupid face flood onto tears.But now, everything i need is a bath and you.

AUBREY then went to the bathroom to get ready to sleep.

What SUNNY and AUBREY didn't know, was that ANNAO was spying on them.

ANNAO: i don't believe this!How could HE prefer HER over ME?I'M PERFECT!

KIM: you mean loud?

ANNAO: Ahhhhhh!Who are you?

KIM: Nobody important, just pink hair's ex.But I'm making sure nobody messes with her happiness.And that includes you.Now scram.

ANNAO: How dare you speak to me that way!I am richer than you!

KIM: bitchier too.

ANNAO: *gasp* WHAT DID YOU SAY!?

KIM: why do you care about SUNNY anyway?

ANNAO: that's none of your business!Humph!

KIM: ok then bye.

KIM leaved ANNAO there.

AUBREY came back, while SUNNY was cleaning everything up.

AUBREY:'k I'm back.Wanna eat that pizza?

SUNNY: Sure!

They ate the pizza.

AUBREY: do you think ANNAO is jealous of me?

SUNNY: Why wouldn't she?You are better than her.

AUBREY blushed.

AUBREY: Tomorrow, I'll be cheering for you!

SUNNY: t-thanks.

AUBREY: how about we go to bed?

SUNNY: Sure.

AUBREY: goodnight SUNNY.

SUNNY: goodnight AUBREY.

SUNNY kissed AUBREY and they drifted off to sleep.
