There it stood, in all of its glory, the dojo known as Cobra Kai. Jules looked through the window seeing a man who she believed was Johnny Lawerence and a boy, the girl took a deep breath and walked in. The jingle of a bell told Johnny that someone else was there, he turned around and saw Jules.

It looked dilapidated and smelled of mold, her eyes looked at Johnny before she saw Miguel on the mat.

"Julie?" He asked

"Is this Cobra Kai?" Jules asked and Johnny crossed his arms. "Yes this is, why?"

"I was wondering if I could join." She asked

He shook his head. "I'm sorry, but there are no female Cobras."

Jules rolled her eyes, "come on please, I'm Cobra Material. I'll fight you, I'll fight him." She begged but Johnny just shook his head and so she turned to her last resort. "If moneys the issue, I have enough."

Jules pulled out a wad of cash, it was mostly 100$ and 20$. Johnny's eyes went wide as he looked at the money.

"Fine, get on the mat you'll fight Miguel." He said but Miguel tried to protest. "Sensei, I can't do this."

Johnny didn't care, Jules pulled her shoes off and got on the mat. She bowed to Johnny then to Miguel. Miguel still was trying to get out of this situation.

"Fight!" He called and Jules moved, she sent a punch that Miguel somehow dodged but she turned around and sent a kick into his chest knocking the boy back

Johnny stood there as Jules turned to him asking if that was enough. His eyes furrowed as he stared at the girl, she felt so familiar but he didn't know why.

"Do I know you?" He asked and Jules scoffed. "I was expecting you to be the first to know my mother."

That's when it clicked, the fight at the mini mart, what happened last night, and now this.

Jules smiled as Johnny pointed at her. "You're Victoria Barron's kid."

Jules pulled the wad of money out of her pocket again and handed it to Johnny. He shoved the cash into his pocket before looking back up at Jules.

"Welcome to Cobra Kai. You chose the right dojo, you're mom was all over that Miyaji-do shit"

Jules smiled, her plan was working. She couldn't wait for her mother to see her baby girl in Cobra Kai. Miguel walked up to the girl.

"Hey can we talk?" Miguel asked and Jules just stood there. "I don't care about your background, or your mother. I want to be friends with you, Julie."

She turned to Miguel as if she was going to say something. "Friends."

He smiled before she dropped down and swept his leg making him fall to the floor and she put her foot on his chest. "It's Jules by the way."

"Hey Darling, how's school?" Victoria asked as Jules walked in the door

She walked into the kitchen and grabbed a drink from the fridge before sitting next to her mother and her paperwork strewn across the table.

"It's okay, it's hectic since Halloween's coming up." Jules answered and Victoria smiled

"Have you figured out what you wanted to be yet?" Victoria asked

Jules shook her head, "I'm not even sure I want to go."

Victoria clicked her tongue, "'to make honey, young bee needs young flower not old prune' Mr. Miyagi said the exact same thing to me when Daniel told him that to him."

Jules rolled her eyes, again she was talking about her old days. Jules took another drink from her drink trying not to say something snarky towards her mother.

"You need to go out, Julie. So what do you want your costume to be?"

"Invisible, mom. I want to be invisible." Jules spat back

Victoria cocked her eyebrow, "if I can make you invisible will you go?"

"Yes mom, if you can make me invisible I will go." Jules said sarcastically before seeing the time and getting up. "I have to go, I'm tutoring a kid. Bye mom."

"Okay, bye honey."

Jules ran out of the house and rushed to the dojo, panting as she walked through the door. Miguel was off in the corner practicing his punches.

"Sorry I'm late, my mom is trying to be my mom and hang out with me." She said before kicking her shoes off and started practicing

Johnny had started her off with easy things, Jules was trying to forget all she learned from Miyagi-do. Johnny's words filled her head "you're a Cobra now not a prancer. You strike first and hard."

She kept the motto in her head trying to remember to strike first and hard and give no mercy. She watched as Johnny walked out of his office.

"Hey, you don't happen to have any friends who wanna learn karate, do you?" Johnny called to the two kids

Jules laughed, "yeah have Victoria Barron's child go out preaching her rival dojo. That'll work."

Johnny pointed at the girl. "I don't need your attitude, give me 20 pushups on your knuckles."

She rolled her eyes and got down on the ground, starting her push-ups. Johnny swatted his hand and replied to his own question.

"What am I saying? You don't have any friends. Sorry."

Miguel stopped his punches, turning around to see their Sensei. "Hey, Sensei. When am I gonna learn to do some kicking? I was watching this YouTube video of a guy breaking boards, and it looked badass."

"Yeah no shit." Jules said as Johnny answered. "Kicking is badass but you're not ready. Besides if I don't get more students in here, I won't be able to teach you anything."

Jules had finished her 20 pushups, she quickly got to her feet. "You can't close, if you do I'll be forced to actually learn from my mom."

"You have thought about advertising, right?" Miguel asked but by Johnny's face expression, Jules knew he hadn't. "Yeah, duh. Of course."

Miguel sat at the table with Demetri and Eli. The guidance counselor was talking about bullying but Jules was sure not even half of the students were listening.

"I'm not going to name names, but the other day a mother called me up because her son was crying after some kids online made fun of her facial deformity." The kids started whispering as they all looked at Eli

Jules walked up to the table, and slid into one of the seats watching as the boy hid his face. She rolled her eyes and glared at the guidance counselor, why doesn't she just stick a target on his back because that's basically what she did.

"Hey Jules." He said and Jules asked. "Did you find anyone?"

Demetri looked at the girl, his mouth opened and closed. "You're Julie Barron-Monroe."

Jules nodded her head, "yeah I am."

"You way too pretty to be Miguel's friend." The girl smiled at that compliment but Miguel rolled his eyes

The boy shook his head, "no not yet" before turning to the boys sitting at their table. "If you're sick of getting bullied, our karate dojo's looking for recruits."

"Yeah, right. You hear that, Eli? A little karate training, and you're gonna kick some major ass." They rolled their eyes as Demetri made fun of Miguel, moving his hands in a mocking way

"He's serious, Demetri." Jules told the boy through a mouthful of food and Miguel finished her sentence. "Our Sensei's the real deal. I'm sure I could get you both discounts."

"As enticing as that sounds, I think we'd rather spend our afternoons playing Crucible Control than getting hit in the face." Demetri spat at the two

Jules nodded before standing up and looking at Miguel. "Tell me when you find someone." She then looked at Eli and Demetri giving them a fake smile. "Bye boys."

Jules rolled her eyes as she turned around and started walking away. Everything felt like it was still not changing.
