Ch- 14

The morning seemed peaceful, until they stirred and began to wake up from their slumber. Jungwon opens his eyes, staring at the ceiling, taking a moment to process and fully wake up when he hears her mumbling against his chest and stirring in her sleep.

Slowly recalling the events of the night before, he looks down at her, getting up suddenly in surprise that makes her get up too, as she rubs her eyes to clear her vision and looks down at the mess they have made last night.

Her already wide eyes, widens even more when she sees Jungwon getting off the bed hurriedly and putting on his clothes.

"J-jungwon"

She calls out with a frown and tries to move from her place but the sore muscles of her legs, seem to be giving her a hard time in getting up.

"Jungwon"

She calls out again, her tone having a hint of desperation in them, whilst he puts on his pants.

"Jungwon please answer me, where are you going?"

Her voice almost sounds pleading as she continues on trying to get up from the bed.

Her heart drops completely when Jungwon makes his way over to the door to leave, without once responding her as she almost cries while calling for him again.

"Jungwon, where are you going, are you l-leaving me?"

She watches him stepping out of the room and disappearing from her sight without paying a heed to her calls.

For a second, her mind was completely blank as she was still staring at the entrance of the room, Jungwon just left from. When the realisation hits in, she gets off from the bed, using all her might, only to stumble and fall from the bed with a thud sound.

She breaks down, feeling more hurt from Jungwon walking away than the fall, but that's when she hears his voice and looks up to see him walking inside.

"Woah, why did you get off the bed"

Jungwon's worried voice reached her ears, as he walked over to her, buttoning up the shirt that he seemed to have grabbed from outside.

She remembers how his shirt was fallen off in the living room last night before they came inside the room, and realises that he maybe went to pick his shirt from outside and not walking away from her.

"Come here, let me see"

He crouches down and reaches out to her to see if she's hurt but she was quick to clung to him and embrace him tightly as if he was going to disappear.

Jungwon stays still for a second, his mind processing her gesture before he finally hugs her back, stroking her hair and zoning out in the process as the memories of last night sinks in.

"It's alright"

He whispers, attempting to shush and comfort her which looked like it was working, as she started to calm down soon but didn't let go of him.

"Let's go, wash up first hmm?"

He asks but she shakes her head, refusing to even move whilst he continues to stroke her hair.

"We can't stay like this you know, let me carry you"

He says and pulls away, picking her up and going inside the washroom to freshen up.

As his gentle hands washed her body, their minds kept recalling the events of the previous night. An uncertainty lingering within them, that whatever consequences it will cause, they would have to face them together now.

And being done freshening up in a while, they were now settled in bed, deciding to spend the day just as they were, since it started raining right after they got into bed, but the change in the weather was rather comforting, and now they, tangled inside the sheets together, were slowly falling asleep...

2 days later

Jungwon goes after her hastily, as it was now the third time today, she was running to the washroom.

Removing the hair strands from her face and neck, he holds it gently in place on her nape to prevent it from getting dirty. His other hand goes to stroke her back as he watches her retching, with his heart heavy with concern.

Once that, she washes up and he helps her out to the living room, the weariness on her face visible as they settles down on the couch and he helps in patting dry her face.

"Let me get you something warm to drink"

Jungwon says and gets up to go to the kitchen but her hands, reaching out to grab his, stops him.

"You know what it means right?"

He turns around slowly as her question lingers in the air, followed by nothing but a heavy silence.

Jungwon looks at her, who was also staring up at him, and sighs before nodding, he turns to her completely when she also gets up from her seat.

"I want to do the test to confirm"

With that she turns away, before making her way over to her room, whilst Jungwon stands still, staring at her back.

And once he looked away, she was now returning from her room, holding what looked like a pregnancy test kit to him, in her hands and stops infront of him.

"I.. bought it yesterday"

She says lowly, looking down not yet meeting eyes with Jungwon, as she seemed to appear nervous and anxious about the situation.

He leads her to the couch without saying anything, settling down on it and pulling her gently on his lap for comfort before gestures for her to go ahead with the test.

He can see her hands trembling a little that was holding the kit, as she takes a moment before proceeding.

A shaky sigh escapes her lips as she turns her head towards him, upon having the positive results in sight. He takes the scale from her hands and puts it aside on the table before pulling her in for a hug.

He rubs her back in a gentle manner, attempting to calm her down first as he could hear slight sniffles coming from her.

"Now.. what will we do?"

"We will keep it"

She looks back at him, her sniffles stopping for a second as she stared while he gives her a genuine look.

"You.. r-really?"

"I mean it"

Sora feels rather overwhelmed, even after Jungwon looked genuine with the decision.

She turns her head back infront, still heaving shaky breaths but soon she's completely turned back to Jungwon as he shifts her on his lap so now she was facing him.

"Last night.. was accidental, and we have to pay big for it's consequences, so why not do it together hmm?"

His hands reaches out to tuck a stray strands of hair behind her ear, then rests on her cheek, with his thumb stroking her cheekbones in a gentle manner.

"I'm scared"

She murmurs lowly, lifting her eyelashes to look at him for a second before looking back down.

"You have me"

He whispers, pulling her in for another long hug, his soothing embrace seems to calm her senses as she finds herself leaning further against him.

They sit still for some minutes, a comfortable silence engulfing them along with their now steady breathing. His hand goes to stroke her back and the time seems to stop at the very moment until she speaks up.

"Jungwon?"

He hums in respond, leaning his face against her neck, and takes in her scent with a deep inhale.

"Let's get married"

"We will"
