Ch- 12
20:07, 1 December 2024Loud screams echoed as he approached the crowd, with girls reaching out to him, some touching his face, others his arms.
I sat there in anticipation, too anxious to even feel jealous, just hoping it would all end soon.
I nudged Hanni and asked if we could leave, knowing she would initially refuse. I gave her a look and manage to convince her as she sighed and finally agreed. Just as we were about to get up, the people next to our seats started screaming, and I saw Jungwon making his way through the crowd toward where I was sitting?
I was scratching my own knuckles by now, having no idea, I could only ask myself what was about to happen and what he's going to do.
He stopped right in front of me and extended his hand out. I just stared at him, he looked so out of the world. Even though I see him every day now, he looked completely different in that moment, not the old Jungwon.
He gestured with his eyes for me to take his hand, and I had to glance at hanni first, who nodded at me, holding back a wide smile.
I looked back at him, I didn't knew what he had in mind, but I trust him enough, so I took his hand. He led me out of the crowd and onto the field.
Unreal would be an understatement, with the way the crowd was watching and cheering as we stood together, holding hands. I couldn't believe Jungwon had made our relationship public, I thought he wanted it to be a secret for a while longer.
I could spot some of the familiar faces in the crowd, Lee know, Chan oppa and their group, I couldn't help but smile as they cheered us on.
I looked back at Jungwon, he had a smile on the entire time, his outfit, his slightly sweaty face and his locks sticking to his forehead, everything made him look extra attractive. I've never seen a bookworm with a nerdy interest being good in bike racing like things also, he's literally perfect.
an attractive nerd indeed.

As Jungwon finally appeared, in casual clothes now, I waved at hanni and bid her goodbye since I'll be going with Jungwon now.
"So, shall we?"
I flinched slightly at his sudden voice from behind as he gestured towards his bike.
I couldn't get to say anything, before he led me to his bike, putting on the helmet on me, he wore one as well, getting on the bike then looking back at me.
"Hop on"
I got on the bike slowly, making sure my dress isn't stuck anywhere and if I'm comfortable, he asked me if I was done and I hummed in response.
"Hold on tight"
I didn't know if I shivered from his tone or the slight wave of air, as heaving a shaky breathe, I wrapped my arms around him.
"Are we going home?"
I mumbled, leaning against him from behind as he drove through the not-so-busy street.
"No"
My head jolted up slightly at his answer, feeling a rush of excitement suddenly at the thought, where else he could be taking me.
From what I know, he's not the type to take his partner on dates or show affection unless necessary, so I was really curious at what else he had planned but I decided not to ask him.
After a while, he stopped the bike, and I got off before removing the helmet. As he placed both helmets on the bike, he got off as well and turned to me, fixing the stray strands of hair from my face.
He then began to lead me somewhere again. I looked around, and soon we stopped once more. It seemed like we were away from the city, up in the hills, as we could see the city view in front of us.
I was quick to run over to get a closer view, city views are always so beautiful, and one of my favourite places to visit. With the fact that Jungwon brought me here, it felt much more special and I wonder what was in his mind today.
I heard his footsteps from behind, maybe he was approaching me, he stopped right behind and leaned in till I could feel his face next to mine, he turned my face to him, still having the same smile on and he was leaning in?
"Hah wait, what's wrong with you today?"
I moved away slightly and looked at him, I really wanted to know about everything that happened today.
"What's wrong with me? Nothing ofcourse"
"You're lying, you said you won't be going there when I asked you but then you happened to be participating later on, you never told me you're into bike racings"
I took a step back and looked at him, as he also took a step forward in the attempt of closing the distance.
"It was for the surprise"
"Surprise?"
I tilted my head, slightly confused and amazed both as he nodded and took another step forward.
"What I did today was supposed to be a surprise that's why I didn't told you before"
He finally reached out to me and pulled me back against him.
"Are you serious? Do you know how good you looked there? I mean you always look good but still, you know how all those girls were looking at you, I almost got a heart attack when you came through the crowd to take me"
I blabbered all that, still not believing everything that happened was real.
"And, you know now everyone from the University knows we're dating, you said you don't want to reveal it then why did you do? And you know you're acting really weird today."
I can see his smile fading by now and his usual, everyday expression appearing.
"You didn't said a word throughout the entire time earlier, but suddenly talking a lot now. Did I made you uncomfortable?"
He appeared rather serious now as he asked, I shook my head immediately at him.
"No no, I'm just not used to this, that's why"
He hummed, not letting me move away this time, instead pulling me against him more.
He smiled again and caressed my cheeks, the gentle caress I've missed receiving from him. The atmosphere was less tense but more comfortable as I saw him leaning again but I had more questions.
"So now, we can hangout freely at the University?"
I moved my head away slightly and looked up at him, as he nodded before turning my face back to him.
"And we can go on dates too?"
I asked again, and he nodded again, but as I was about to ask more he cut me off.
"I'm trying to kiss you, let's keep the talks for later, hm?"
He asked very nicely that almost made me melt but my heart on the other hand was pounding inside of my chest.
"Let's go home first"
I heard him sigh before he nodded, it was hard to tell if he was annoyed with the expression he had on.
He let go of me and we walked back to his bike but he made me sit on the bike first, side ways, as he bent down to my level, whispering something before his lips landed straight on mine.
"Home can wait"
