Chapter IV- 𝐷𝑒𝑛𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔

Eren was in his room watching his favourite youtubers, The darkskin Saviors.

They we're one of the only people that made Eren feel better, he didn't even realise how loud it was until he heard a knock on his door. He lazily got up from his beanbag and walked over to the door and opened it to see an annoyed Zeke.

"𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰?"-Zeke said with a bit of annoyance in his tone.

Eren rolled his eyes.

"𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡, 𝐠𝐞𝐞𝐳."-Zeke said and walked back down the stairs muttering something.

Eren closed the door and sat back down on his beanbag. He turned his TV off and turned on his LED lights. He then layed down on his bed while staring at the ceiling, he stayed like that for a few minutes before getting up and grabbing his guitar. He started to play while singing his mom's favourite song: Dandelions.

~𝑓𝑙𝑎𝑠ℎ𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑘~

Five year old Eren was in his room drawing when he heard someone singing downstairs. He dropped his pencil and jumped of his chair and walked downstairs to see his mother singing while his father played the guitar. Eren hid behind the staircase while listening to the song. When his parents had finished, his mom spoke up.

"𝑬𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒆 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖."-Carla said while smiling

Eren slowly revealed himself and walked over to his parents.

"𝐌𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐲, 𝐝𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐲, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭?"-Eren asked as his mom lifted him up and put him on her lap

"𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔... 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏 𝒊𝒕?"-Grisha asked his son

Eren slightly nodded

"𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒆'𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒘."-Carla said

"𝑶𝒌!"-Eren said excitedly

~𝐹𝑙𝑎𝑠ℎ𝑏𝑎𝑐𝑘 𝑒𝑛𝑑~

~Wishing on everyone that you'll be mine... mine...~

Eren played the last note before taking a deep breath. He placed his guitar down and layed back on his bed.

𝑀𝑜𝑚, 𝑑𝑎𝑑.. 𝐼 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑡 𝑖𝑡.._________________________________

"𝑴𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒚, 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒔 𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈?"-Five year old Eren asked while crying

"𝑬𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆, 𝒅𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒅𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒓𝒖𝒏 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒚."-His mother begged him

Eren was frozen, it was like he didn't have control over his body whatsover.

"𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒚, 𝒔𝒄𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕."-One of the men holding a gun said

"𝑬𝑹𝑬𝑵, 𝑮𝑶 𝑷𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑬."-His mom yelled again

"𝑫𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒘𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝒏𝒐 𝒚𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈?"-Another man said

Carla looked up at one of the men with a murderous look

"𝑮𝒐 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒍."-Carla spat

The man had enough and shot Carla twice in the stomach and watched her bleed out.

"𝑪𝑨𝑹𝑳𝑨, 𝑬𝑹𝑬𝑵 𝑮𝑶 𝑷𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑬."-Grisha yelled and he crawled over to his suffering wife

Eren couldn't take it and ran off into the backyard, he fumbled with the lock on the fence door and he dropped the key when he heard two loud gunshots. He started crying and succesfully ran out the house and to a neighbors front door. He knocked repeatedly and loudly and the door opened to reveal a short man with an undercut.

"𝑷𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑬 𝑴𝒀 𝑷𝑨𝑹𝑬𝑵𝑻𝑺, 𝑻-𝑻𝑯𝑬𝑹𝑬 𝑨𝑹𝑬 𝑩𝑨𝑫 𝑷𝑬𝑶𝑷𝑳𝑬 𝑾𝑰𝑻𝑯 𝑾𝑬𝑨𝑷𝑶𝑵𝑺 𝑷𝑳𝑬𝑨𝑺𝑬 𝑯-𝑯𝑬𝑳𝑷!"-Eren yelled

One gunshot went off, then another and then the final one._____________________________

Eren jolted out of sleep, with sweat dripping profusely, his hair disheveled, ragged breathing and wide eyes, he checked his clock, it was 2:31 am, he rubbed his temple and leaned against his headboard.

𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑖𝑛 ℎ𝑢ℎ- Eren thought

Tears started falling, droplets landing on the bed sheets making them wet.

"𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐬 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫."

"𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞?"

𝐈'𝐦 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐤, 𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐲, 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬."

Eren muttered all these negative things as he was crying.

[𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺, 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽, 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂]

Eren got up and went to his drawer, he opened his drawer and picked up a small box and opened it and grasped a sharp razor.

He then went to the bathroom and stared into the mirror, he looked down at his wrists and used the razor to cut a bit of skin, careful not to slice his veins though. He slightly winced at the sharp pain but kept going until he was satisfied.

Once he finished, he had about 7 cuts on his wrist and forearm. Blood started to drip from his forearm onto the bathroom floor, blood getting in between the cracks of the tiles. He turned on the tap and started washing the blood off his wrist and forearm.

He then wet his hair and washed his face and grabbed a towel to wipe off the water.

He patched up the cuts before going back to bed._____________________________

It was the next day and Eren was already on his way to school, he noticed his hair was starting to grow longer, it reached his neck but he was too lazy to get a cut. He made it to school and walked in to be greeted by Ymir and Armin.

"𝐇𝐞𝐲 𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐧."-Ymir said while smirking.

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫?"-Eren said as he cocked an eyebrow

"𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥, 𝐥𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐧𝐨𝐰."-Ymir said as she eyed Armin

Armin rolled his eyes and sighed.

"𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐦𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐚𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐦𝐢𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐘𝐦𝐢𝐫 𝐓𝐎𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐘 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐃 𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐄 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐎𝐡 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐦𝐢𝐫."-Armin explained sourly

"𝐎𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞."-Ymir sarcastically said as she bowed

I just rolled my eyes and we continued to walk in the corridors.

"𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐘𝐦𝐢𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤."-I said

"𝐘𝐞𝐚 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲, 𝐈'𝐦 𝐰𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐲.. 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬."-Ymir said as a smirk formed on her face

"𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫?"-Armin asked me

"𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐬𝐨 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐞𝐫?"-I asked a bit aggravated

"𝐖𝐞'𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐭, 𝐌𝐫.𝐄𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠-"-As Armin continued I cut him off in the middle of his sentence

"𝐍𝐨 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭, 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐢𝐟 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫."-I said back

Ymir rolled her eyes

"𝐌𝐡𝐦, 𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭."-Ymir said as we arrived to our lockers

I cocked my eyebrow

"𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐥𝐲"-I asked as I eyed her

"𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰, 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤, 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐧 𝐮𝐩 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐝𝐞."-Ymir explained

I rolled my eyes

"𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫."-I said as I slammed my locker a bit too hard and walked off to class.______________________________
