Chapter III- 𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑠

Mikasa POV

I was walking back home from school, my first day was half good half bad. I had made some friends which I was glad about, it's not everyone that can make friends on their first day, so I would say I was quite lucky. The only bad part about my day was that jerk, Aaron Yogurt or whatever his name is.

The guy has the audacity to call me an idiot, bump into me, insult me and then completely ignore me the rest of the day. How are they even friends with such a jerk like him?

I continued on my trek and then I came to a left turn, I could see the front of ny house from where I was, the car wasn't in the driveway so I guess mom went out to get some furniture and stuff.We haven't finished unpacking because we've spent most of our time in Stohess, looking for a good school.

I then arrived at my front door and I took the key from under the mat and unlocked the door and entered the house.

I took off my shoes and placed them in the shoe rack next to the door and I went upstairs with only socks on my feet. I entered my room and threw my bag on my bed and also fell on the bed in exhaustion, it was my first day and already have 3 assignments due on Thursday while today was Tuesday.

I changed into some comfortable clothes and went downstairs, into the kitchen. I checked the fridge if there was anything I could eat, there was nothing to my liking. I guess I would just have to wait for my mom to come home. I sighed and went upstairs and sat down on my bed. I looked over to a picture on my bedside table, I grasped the picture and looked at it for a while, it was a photo taken of my dad in 2002 before my mom gave birth to me.

My dad was killed, in Liberio by some Marleyans, everyday we would be treated like trash since we weren't true Marleyans and it got so bad to the point, some Marleyan policemen took hostage of my dad and murdered him, after seeing his body, he was definitely tortured, that was two weeks ago and mom and I we're still mourning his death, if he was gonna die, why did it have to be so painful for him?

I sighed then put the picture back on my bedside table and took a nap._________________________________

Eren POV

Instead of walking back home, I was walking to an orphanage, there was a bunch of kids who didn't have parents at all or their parents had abandoned them. I got a long with a few of them, especially one girl and boy.

I then made it to the adoption center, and was greeted by Mr.Kruger. He owned the place and he was good friends with my dad before he passed away so Mr.Kruger always welcomed me to the orphanage.

"𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐧, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐭!"-Falco yelled as he ran up to me.

"𝐓𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐦𝐛 𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐧𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧!"-Gabi yelled back

I rolled my eyes at the two bickering.

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝?"-I asked nonchalantly

"𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐈 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 13 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐞.."-Falco whispered the last part.

"𝐈 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞, 13 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡, 𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐧."-Gabi said

"𝐘𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐠𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐮𝐬, 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 13 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐭."-Falco said

Gabi rolled her eyes

"𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰, 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐨 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐚𝐲."-I said coldly

They pretended that they didn't hear me.

𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑘𝑖𝑑𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑏𝑒 𝑠𝑜 𝑙𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑙𝑦?

I reached into my bag and pulled out a water gun and a stuffed toy.

"𝐘𝐨, 𝐈 𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐲'𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠."- I said

They faced me and I could see the excitement in their eyes.

"𝐀 𝐠𝐮𝐧!"-Gabi yelled

"𝐈'𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮."-Falco said right after

"𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐢 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐮𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧."-I said when the two grabbed the toys

"𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐧!"-They both yelled in unison

"𝐀𝐥𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫."- I said and I walked out of the building.___________________________

Author POV

It was Wednesday morning and Mikasa was on her way to school, it was almost Fall so Mikasa wore something that covered her up a bit more. Her outfit consisted of a brown coat that reached to her thighs, a white turtleneck, black leggings and black ankle boots.

It was around 7:40 am when Mikasa made it to school, registration was around 7:45 so she was right on time.

Mikasa walked in the school's corridors to find her homeroom, as she walked in she saw the homeroom teacher at his desk sipping tea. It was none other then Levi Ackerman, her uncle.

She rolled her eyes and sat down at an empty desk.

"𝐂𝐚𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭?"- Mr.Levi said

"𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠."-Mikasa muttered

"𝐭𝐜𝐡."-Mr.Levi ________________________________

Mikasa's POV

I was in class copying down notes from the board when a low voice caught my attention, I looked up and saw the teacher holding a bunch of papers.

"𝐀𝐥𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐨, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲'𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐧𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭, 𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨  𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐭 𝐮𝐩."-Mr.Erwin said then continued

"𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲."- Mr.Erwin said while getting a sticky note from his desk

"𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚."-Mr. Erwin finished

I turned my head to find Eren glaring at me, so I did the same.

Out of everyone in this class I get paired up with some jerk, oh for heaven's sake.

"𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐧'𝐭, 𝐈 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲."-Mr.Erwin said as he went back to his desk

I scoffed. There's absolutely no way I'm gonna get to know that jackass.

The bell rang after Mr.Erwin had stopped talking. I packed my bags and made my way to the cafeteria since it was lunch time.

I was sitting with my new friends, they we're all just chatting about their partners and stuff.

"𝐒𝐨 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧?"-Ymir asked me with an innocent look but I know she just wanted to mess with me.

I rolled my eyes.

"𝐄𝐫𝐞𝐧."-I said quietly while looking down at my food.

In the corner of my eye, I could see a smirk form on Ymir's face.

"𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭."-Historia said

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧?"- I said a bit aggravated.

"𝐎𝐡 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠."-Historia said while smirking

"𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐈 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐚 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐨 𝐈'𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐫.𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬."-I said with an annoyed look on my face

"𝐈'𝐦 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰."-I heard Eren say

"𝐎𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, 𝐈 𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐧'𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞."-I said sarcastically

He rolled his eyes and got up.

"𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞!"-I yelled at him

"𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐭'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐭?"-He snapped back

"𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫."-I said

"𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧."-Eren said and left

I kept muttering to myself until Sasha spoke up

"𝐇𝐞𝐲! 𝐘𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐭."-

I rolled my eyes

"𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐡𝐞'𝐬 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮."- Reiner said

The bell than rang and I packed my stuff and went to last period which was Science, and then after that I can finally go home.___________________________
