Chapter 14

"What time is it?" I asked, putting on my shirt.

Ariana looked at her phone then me. "5:19."

I nodded " By time we get up there , they'll  be out of practice."

I brushed my teeth thenput a piece of gum into my mouth and handed Ariana one to. I sat back on the bed and put on a pair of black and white 6s.

Ariana put her shoes on. " Girl your probably finna kill a bitch."Ariana said as Iput my hair up.

" We'll see." I shrugged.

She laughed as she grabbed our phones then walked downstairs. I grabbed my house keys and locked up. We walked outside. 

" Ari' have you heard Chris Brown new album? Fortune?"

Her eyes lit up."Yes girl." She smiled.

"What's your favorite songs from the ablum?"

" Um, Don't judge me and Dont Wake Me Up."

I put my hand over my mouth like I was finna cry. 

"Whats wrong?" Ariana looked at me.

" You sure you ain't  my twin cause you act like it."

She laughed " Nope." She popped the p.

After 10 minutes we where there. We walked to the highschool and we went into the parking lot. Ariana turned of the music as we got closer to the gym exit. Its where all of the people get out after practice.

I know this because I was one of the dancers they had for the football team. Every time we had practice, the football players and dancer will go out that door.But since the football season ended so did the dancing one.

Ariana and I saw Davontae car parked, so we went over to it and leaned over it. It was a good spot because we where right in front of the exit.

" Another minute." She mumbled, watching the clock.

I nodded as I watched the door. The bell rang and about 10 seconds later the door opened and out came basketball player and the cheerleaders. We searched the crowd. 

"You sure they was here?" 

" Yeah just keep looking ." 

Then I saw, Reese, Jayden,Danaejah, Davontae, Giovanna, Hailey, and August . August seemed pissed because he was no where near Hailey.

He was closer to Reese. But he wasn't paying them any type of attention. Davontae finally noticed me and Ariana and he looked at us weird. They all walked towards us and Hailey finally looked at us. She looked like she just seen a ghost. 

I laughed. " Fix yo' face hoe, you wasn't looking like that when you called me a bitch."

August looked at me with shooked. "That's cause you're one.... A hoe if you wanna had to that too." She smirked, trying to act bad.

Ariana rolled her eyes."This girl here."She chuckled.

" You must be talking about yourself because, I never ever fucked anyone in my life. Your shit probably looking like roast beef. Stop fucking playing with me. I bet everyone hit that except my brother, cause he ain't  that dumb."

Everyone laughed. "That's probably why nobody wants you." She barked back.

Ariana chuckled. "Um actually your boyfriend August," I eyed him." He's actually want me, that's  exactly why he haven't been paying you much attention. He's looking at something better ." I smirked.

" Daejah let's go." Davontae yelled.

I ignored him." You want me to beat your ass some more?"

August walked towards me and grabbed my arm. I snatched away. "And you don't touch me." I yelled. 

Davontae came towards us ."I said let's go!" He yelled as he grabbed my arm. 

I clenched my jaw, as he pulled me over to the passengers side of the car. I looked at Davontae, mugging him. " Let my arm go." I said. " I promise I won't kill her Bubba." I mumbled.

" Get in." He told me, letting go of my arm, with no room for me to go up to Hailey.  I got in, along with Ariana. Then Giovanna joined. " Hold up," Davontae stopped Giovanna. " August, get between them."

" Ight." He got in the middle seat, then Giovanna sat down in the car.

" What the fuck is your problem ?" He asked me, as he buckled his seat belt.

I ignored him and got out my phone. He snatched it out of my hand. " Now imma ask you again, whats your problem?"

" Nothing."I mumbled.

Giovanna smacked her lips. " Something is wrong with you , 'cause you was fuckin' yellin' at my best friend!" She huffed, crossing her arms. 

Ariana looked at her. "Girl if you wont, shut yo' nappy head ass up. Its gonna be a problem 'cause, I know Davontae wasn't talking to you. He was talking to his sister."

" We're going to talk when we get home. Giovanna  I'm taking you home." He said.

" Yeah brah, you can drop me of at the spot, cause I ain't  Daejahs favorite person right na'." August told Davontae.

"Your not."I mumbled.

Davontae smacked my arm. I clenched my jaw and rubbed it. After he dropped them off, it was just Ariana and I.

Soon as we got home, I got out of his car and ran inside with tear streaming down my face. Not because I was sad, I was actually mad and frustrated. 

I was not in the mood to talk to no one- let alone Davontae right now.

" Daejah. Diamond. Robinson."

I stopped dead in my steps. 

" What 'Vontae?" I sniffed. He pointed to the couch and I walked over to it then sat down. He sat next to me. 

" I'll be upstairs." Ariana said.

Davontae nodded and winked as she went upstairs. I shifted myself on the couch. " Don't be playing my best friend like that."

He smacked his lips. "I'm not."

"Yes you're, your leading her on, when your still with Giovanna." I wiped a tear.

He nodded. " Yeah, your right."

" I know." I mumbled.

" So whats going on with you." He changed the topic quickly.

I shrugged " Nothing."

" Something is wrong because, you almost beat up Hailey again Daejah."

" She caused it on herself." I shrugged. " She's the one who started it, and you know that ."

" I just don't want you to do something you'll regret."

I looked at him and shook my head. " I won't regret that, that'll make my day."

He chuckled " Your something else."

" I know. You're to but, I'm not complaining."

" Why won't y'all just get along?" He sighed.

I looked at him like he was crazy " Bubba, we haven't got along since preschool. Ever since she stole my chocolate milk."

He laughed. " Wasn't that how you, Ariana and Danaejah got suspended that day for like 3 days?"

I nodded. " Yep, because when I get mad or when somebody in the squad get mad, whole squad get mad."

Me, Ariana, Danaejah was hella' close 'till about our 2nd year in preschool. Then she start hangin' with Giovanna and Hailey.

" True, them where them good days. I  don't know what happen."

I nodded, agreeing with him. " Right."

" So why you mad at August for?" He got up and went to the kitchen.

" He's playing with me bubba. I know he is. He doesn't care bout me ." I said, getting back into my feelings. He came back with two water bottles and handed me one." You don't know that."

" Yes I do, Davontae ." I drank some water.

" No you dont, you need to call him and actually talk to him."

" Ok.." I got up and walked to the stairs.

" Daejah."

I turned around. " Yes bubba?" He pulled out something from his pocket and it was my phone. I forgot he even had my phone. I walked towards him and got it. " Thank you."

"Welcome, now go text your lil' boyfriend." He laughed.

I shook my head. " Okay.." I walked upstairs into my room and saw Ariana on my bed listening to music. 

" Y'all cool now?" She asked, sitting up.

I nodded. "Yeah we're. He just want me to text Aug and I'm not about to do that. Who I look like?" I laughed.

" Dang girl."

She sat down next to me and took her shoes of and put it back in the box.

" Mama, you lookin' fine today." I licked my lips, looking her up in down.

" You too girl."

She pulled out her phone and went to the camera. We took some pictures pictures together and she sent me them so I can have them too. I went to instagram to posted it and captioned it. 

@Ariana_M-  Look how bad me and my Bestfriend look today @DaejahRobinson, we was looking cute so why not.

" We to cute." She said, looking at the picture, smiling.

" I'm sayin'."  I received a text from, no other. Davontae.

Daddytae😍- Come to my room right quick.

Arianababy😍😘- How can i do that, daejah would asked where im going.

Daddytae😍- Just saying you going to he bathroom or something .

Arianababy😍😘- Imma be there Inna minute.

Daddythe😍- Ight babyyy.

Daejah gonna kill me. " I'm finna go to the bathroom." I said.

She nodded. " Okay Ari."

I walked out the room and went to the bathroom and closed the door to, make it seem like I was in the bathroom. I went back cross the hall into Davontae  room.
