Day III

~*Third Person's POV*~

Six years ago..(Starting of their freshman year)

" Please give back my stuff toy Plue! " Lucy cried as a group of girls throw the toy hard for Lucy to reach.

" Aww you gonna cry so bad and tell the teacher about it? What a wimp you are~ " One of the girls said as they all laughed while kept teasing Lucy crying for her stuff toy.

" Come on this is not fair.. What did I ever do to you.. " Lucy falls to the ground trying to reach for her toy crying while tears falling to her cheeks, " I'll do anything please just give my toy back it's precious for me.. " 

" There is only one favor I guess.. " The girl gave a sinister smile that Lucy gave a scared look, Lisanna holding her toy with a scissor in her hands as she rips off the toy's head dropping it all to the floor, " Just stop talking to your best friend Natsu.. "

Then Lisanna pushed Lucy on the ground with her stuff toy all ruined and destroy as she kept crying trying to fix but no use only gathered the stuffings inside of Lucy's favorite Plue left.  As the girls left her alone, Natsu came minutes after they are gone asking Lucy why she is crying and seeing only her Plue stuff toy that Natsu gave to her destroyed, Lucy kept her mouth shut and never told anything to him yet Natsu was still bothered by it knowing as her best friend he would do anything to protect her at all cost. Ever since that incident happened Lucy stopped talking or going near around Natsu instead stayed with her other friends Levy and Erza, Natsu tried to find his ways of communicating with Lucy but sadly she ignored and walk away as soon he saw her. Until today at the end of their school year, Natsu finally got Lucy's attention.

~*Lucy's POV*~

Present Day

The championship games were great! Seeing my friend Erza doing that three-strike serve points was the best that no one can't dodge and of course Natsu doing three points in every scene was very priceless. The effort of their hard work and training early in the morning was worth it and I am proud to be their friend to support them along the way, it is very late and Dad wanted me to get home early but I could reason with him about the championship of my friend's game as a winner. Sabertooth Tiger players were really awesome and very cool like Yukino's spike from the game which impressed me, both of us were close friends when Erza introduced her to me very friendly and shy. As the game ended I approached Erza and smiled while Yukino began to hug me tightly suddenly saw Lisanna go to Natsu clinging and hugging his arm which gave the discomfort and frown.

" Lucy! It's been a while since I saw you. " Yukino smiled looking at me but then I looked at her smiling back hiding once again the discomfort.

" Well, I am glad that Natsu and Gray escorted you here in the gym.. " Erza patted my back which it's a bit strong but I handled it okay.

" Say why don't we go have fun time since Erza will treat us for winning the championship games! " Yukino said showing her excitement and giggled while Erza playfully punches her arm with a chuckle.

" Sadly Lucy needs to go home as soon as possible, her parents are very strict on the time and her safety.. " Erza said as I giggled seeing Yukino pouted and mumbling, " But I do owe Yukino a treat so I'll be asking someone to get you home Lucy.. "

" Ehh, Erza there I no need for that! I can walk on my own and besides it's not that far too... " I explained giving a nervous laugh sweating and getting more anxious.

" Lucy, you know your father doesn't allow you to go home alone because there might be bad situations happen to you.. " Erza gave a worried look and I was about to give my defense but I was interrupted.

" Why don't I take her home safely, I have my car so it will be a fast minute drive too.. " Natsu volunteered which widen my eyes and avoiding eye contact with Lisanna who gave a sinister glare while gripping Natsu's arm.

" Oh great that settles it, Natsu you take care of Lucy for me because I will be giving a favor for the Sabertooth Tiger volleyball players. " Erza smiled as she holds my shoulder looking at me which I can't say no from that look.

 " Okay then.. " I simply accepted with a smile but inside regretting and looking down.

As Erza left with her fellow teammates, I looked down and followed Natsu from behind while I hear Lisanna kept chatting and gossip about any topic that pops on her mind as she clings more beside Natsu. We finally get to the parking lot where Natsu's red Ferrari car is there and Lisanna was about to go inside but she was interrupted saw Gray running in our direction.

" Ey Lisanna! Mira says you gonna go home with her or else she's gonna drag you.." Gray said as Lisanna was mumbling surely hiding her anger and feeling her glare towards me like I'm going to melt.

" Ughh.. Well I guess tomorrow our date? " Lisanna smiled at Natsu as she kept flirting and clinging to his arm as Natsu sighed nodding feeling forced.

" Yeah I guess.. " Natsu said as Lisanna kissed his cheek and start running back to the gym shouting her goodbyes.

" At least the thick atmosphere of awkwardness is gone.. " I though to myself releasing a big sigh relief.

" Welp I have my bike to get home.. " Gray said as he turn around walking and waved his hand, " You take care of your girlfriend.. "

" Ughh Stupid Gray.. So about that getting you home Luce.. " Natsu grin as he wipes his cheek where Lisanna kissed.

I nodded while giggling and looked down feeling my cheeks burning while for the first time I smiled truly without faking or pretending which it felt safe and secure, I missed it alot.
