-chan's pov-

i slowly walked around the house trying to find jun, when i found him at the juice bar. he looked a bit stressed, "hyung" i sat down next to him

"how's areum?" "she's alright... last night she told me that you were going to help her find her parents" i said "yeah, and i have no idea where to start looking" he mumbled taking a sip from his drink

"yeah, well it might be put off because of what's happening right now" "can't we just do the two things at once?" he furrowed his brows at me, "jeonghan hyung said we should put it off until this is dealt with" "fine whatever" he shrugged and walked away

-areum's pov-

quite a while has passed since then and i keep on getting nightmare's almost every night. i've almost tried everything to sleep well, from music to melatonin or sleeping at a different time, but nothing seems to work. the nightmares just keep coming. it's hard to get decent sleep now and most of the time i'm a bit sleep deprived

it was now january 4th, and it's time for school to start again. the guys decided for me to keep going to school. they promised this time i wouldn't be lonely but i don't know how they're going to keep that promise. i also don't know who's going to be my bodyguard since i haven't seen koo or chris yet

RING~

my alarm went off, i sat up in my bed and looked around, i groaned as i saw the sun was barely up in the sky, "why does school start so early here?" i mumbled laying back down

there was a knock at the door, seungcheol walked in without even asking, "hey" he mumbled walking towards the side of the bed i was on. "hey" i mumbled opening my eyes a little to see him

"you have to get up" "i know but i'm tired" i whined a little, "come on" he mumbled picking me up bridal style and bringing me to the bathroom

he stood there for a moment looking down at me

when i was young i was really scared of him. he was sort of my worst nightmare, and now he's become someone i need in me life. i love him

i looked back up at him, I love you, i thought, "can you put me down now" i mumbled, looking down in embarrassment because of my thoughts

he gently put me down and walked out the bathroom leaving me to get ready

i was still going to private school, but it's not like i want to go to public school. i've heard terrible things about public school; how there are lots of fights, some teachers are pedophiles, the foods terrible, etc. (a/n i'm in public school. it sucks)

i took a quick shower and changed into my clothes

what she was wearing:

in the french school i was in before they weren't strict about the whole uniform thing, but since i'm in a different school now i have to start wearing uniforms again. they were alright but still most uniforms are disgusting

i walked out of the bathroom and went downstairs where only joshua and cheol were awake, they were whispering about something

"good morning" i mumbled and walked to the fridge looking for something to eat, "where is mingyu?" i asked them, "he had to go somewhere with the other guys" joshua said standing up and walking to where i was

"what do you want for breakfast?" he asked standing behind me looking at the fridge with me, "anything really" i mumbled going to sit down on the dinner table

"you sleep well?" seungcheol asked form across me, i had another nightmare, is what i wanted to say, i'm probably bothering them, i thought to myself, "it was alright" i lied

this entire time they were trying to help me sleep better, but nothing works. they're probably bothered by me

he nodded, "where did they go" i asked him combing my hand through my hair, "hm" he hummed "where did mingyu and the others go?" i asked again

"oh they had to take care of something" he asked avoiding the question, i furrowed my eyebrows at his response, "fine" i mumbled playing with the glass of water in front of me

after the explosion happened they started keeping more secrets from me, they started having 'secret meetings' and such. and they made decisions about things without talking to me. like me going to school, i know i have to go to school but i would have still liked to be in that discussion, heck! it wasn't even up for discussion!

"what's wrong?" he asked me, "you guys are keeping a lot of secrets from me" i sulked a bit, "*sigh* this time it isn't a secret... it's a surprise" when he said 'surprise' a smile appeared on his face

"what's the surprise?" "it wouldn't be a surprise if we told you, would it?" he chuckled, and i leaned back in my chair, "so you admit you're keeping secrets from me" i asked a little mad

"yeah, but it's for your own good" and with that he got up and walked away, leaving me dumbfound, "here's your food" joshua said coming behind me and putting the plate down with a smile on his face, surprising me a little bit

"oh thanks" i mumbled and started eating

i continued eating and quickly got up and put my plate in the sink, "hey shua oppa" i called out, he walked into the kitchen, "what's wrong?" he asked looking down at his phone, "who's taking me to school?" "seungcheol and i are", his answer left me a bit surprised

"are you done?" he finally looked up from his phone, "yeah i just have to get my backpack" i mumbled pointing upwards towards my room

"go get it" he walked out the door, i hurriedly went upstairs and grabbed my back, which only contained two books and my laptop since i was new to the school and i was starting from scratch again

when we pulled up at the school, i was rather surprised by what it looked like. it looked much bigger than the school i was in before. this one looked more like a college than anything, it had like five floors and different buildings

"woah" i said in awe, i was in the backseat and choel was driving and shua was in the passenger seat next to him, they both chuckled at my reaction

seungcheol opened the car door and got out and walked it where my door was, i opened my door and got out still looking at the buildings in awe

"come on, i'll walk you to the office", he extended out his hand and joshua got out the car as well

seungcheol and i walked hand in hand towards the school and walked in. the inside was just as cool as the outside, there were a few lockers on the walls and on the walls were academic award trophies

they had many and most of them were gold and silver. there weren't that many students walking around but there was still plenty, most of the people were girls and all of them turned their heads when they saw seungcheol

i already wasn't too fond of the girls

we walked into the office and seungcheol spoke, "good morning, i would like to register a student" he said to the lady at the front, "alright here is the paperwork, are you her legal guardian?" she asked looking at me for a moment and back at seungcheol a little confused, "yes i am" "alright, but may i ask, are you her brother?" she asked pointing her pen towards me

"oh no i'm just her guardian" he said through a chuckle, she nodded and proceeded with what she was doing

once we finished that she guided me towards a classroom with seungcheol close behind

"this is your first period class afterwards you just look at your schedule and ask a student to guide you towards your next class" she said kindly looking at me

i walked into the class. it wasn't what i exactly imagined, the classroom had different levels of seats like in a college and there was a huge projector behind the teachers desk, and on the wall there were huge windows

i looked behind me to cheol, "are you gonna go now?" i asked in a whisper, "yeah i'll come to pick you up after school" he said with a kind smile, "where did josh oppa go?" "he went to the bathroom before we went into the office" with that he waved goodbye and so did i

the classroom inside still wasn't full and the bell still hadn't rung. the teacher wasn't even inside yet, i looked down at my phone and it said it was 7:00 am

i sat down on one of the chairs by the large windows with a heavy sigh, "it's too early" i mumbled underneath my breath

i waited for about ten minutes before the teacher finally walked in and greeted the students, the teacher was a woman in her mid 30s maybe. she was rather pretty and looked relatively young

she walked towards where i was, "hello, you most be the new student" she said with a kind smile, "yes, i'm park areum" i said in a soft voice returning the smile

"alright, this is english class, and today we're starting a brand new chapter and a new grading term. so, you won't have to catch up on anything" she explained and i nodded, "alright thank you" she started walking away but she quickly turned back around for a moment

"also after class begins could you please introduce yourself to the class?" "um... yeah, sure" i nodded hesitantly, great speaking in front of people, i thought to myself with a heavy sigh

i hate talking to people in general, so this isn't going to be fun

ring~

the bell went off and all most of the students were in the class, except there was mostly girls and it looked like a good chunk of the class missing

"alright, everyone good morning and welcome back, i hope your winter break was good. but that doesn't really matter right now because we have to start a new chapter." she looked down at her papers and up at the board for a moment

"also we have a few new students, but it looks like only one of them is here" she signaled for me to come up to where she was

i slowly and clumsily walked to where she was, extremely nervous. i could here a girl behind me giggle for a moment, it made me even more nervous and anxious

i walked next to her desk and looked at the class, "introduce yourself" "hello i am park areum, nice to meet you all" i said a little shaky

right at that very moment the door slammed open, i flinched and looked at the person at the door

"w-what are y-you-" i mumbled and quickly shut up, not wanting to embarrass my self

it was joshua and all the other guys behind him, "sorry we're late, we had a bit of trouble finding the room" he had a kind smile

a/n this chapter not gonna lie kind of sucks but it's important for the storyline and the future of the book, i'll write the next ones better
