AGREEMENT

"Have you thought about any names yet?" You ask, diverting the topic as you see her smile fading. 

"Names… I will name my baby girl Haneul, meaning heaven. And if it's a baby boy then Minjun, meaning sharp and clever. Do you like them?" She asks, her gaze reaching you as you nod with a genuine smile. The names were chosen by Jungkook when they used to date. And she always wished to name her kids with the same name. 

'Must be chosen by Jungkook,' you thought seeing her blush. 

"They are beautiful. Just like the little one growing inside you," you chuckled and she rubbed her baby bump gently. 

You both talked about other things and soon headed to bed as it was late already and you had to visit your office in the morning.

"What's my cupcake doing, huh?" You heard Jimin's wholehearted laugh making you smile at the nickname. 

"Nothing. I was making dinner. How about you… if you are free you can drop by here and have dinner here?" You offer as he thinks. He knows about Sarang's arrival and to say he was upset with Jungkook's decision won't be a lie. He never really got along with Sarang. They were like the same sides of the pole, repelling each other. 

"Sorry, sunshine. Not today… I'll visit…" you cut him off.

"It's okay, I understand. You are welcome here anytime," your response brings a laugh on his edges as you lock the rice cooker. 

"Y/n!!" You heard a loud yell, making you flinch as you turned around.

"Y/n!!! Please, y/n!!!" It was Sarang's voice. Turning off the gas you jogged up the stairs to reach her. 

"Sarang!" You gasped, seeing her clutching on her bump while long threads of sweat ran along her body. She was shivering while her lips trembled, her once sparkling skin was pale now and her edges were turning a little bluish from pink ones. 

"Help… please," she trembled, sitting on the bed while her hands gripped her belly, protecting her baby. 

You reached her. You slid your arm around her waist and tried to pick her up.

"Come one, Sarang… you need to do this. You need to walk to save your baby, come one," you mumbled with a racing heart while all you wished for her and her baby's safety. 

"I can't. I can't walk," she cried. A strong painful thump strikes her body as she gasps again. You call the ambulance and somehow bring her downstairs. 

You didn't even realise you were crying along with her. Your heart was beating loudly in your ribs while panic took over your form. You won't be able to forgive yourself if something happens to her in your presence. 

Will Jungkook trust you? Will she ever forgive you? Will that little baby survive? You knew nothing. 

Not late enough, the ambulance arrived and by picking her up, they shifted her to the stretcher. The emergency department checked her while the driver drove the ambulance at a high speed. You were near to hear, rubbing her palms while asking her to stay awake. 

You were beyond afraid. 

As you all reach the hospital they take her inside to check her. Meanwhile, you wait outside. Your body trembles badly, your throat is dry and aching. You paced outside the room waiting for the doctor to come and assure you about their safety. You whimpered silently, wiping your face occasionally.  No matter what your relation with Sarang is, you will never wish for a mother to lose her child or vice-versa. You know the pain. 

While you forgot to cut the call with Jimin while running for Sarang. He heard everything and he was on his way to the hospital. He wanted to ignore Sarang as much as he can but at the same time, he cannot ignore you, your cries, your fears. 

Minutes passed. Maybe an hour too. You don't know anything.  You just want to hear about her well being. 

"Y/n," his soft voice echoes in your ear. Your blurry gaze met his while he panted, trying to catch his breath. He ran too fast to reach you. He took steps slowly while you fled towards him. Lunging on his figure, you embraced his form tightly. Your shaking figure hid perfectly in his arms. He was still catching his breath but he didn't fail to notice his heart skipping the beat when you ran in his arms. 

You are the sunlight, keeps my heart going…

"Sussh… she'll be okay," he mutters, wrapping his arms around you tightly. His hands reach your hair as he ruffles them gradually. 

I can't keep myself from falling…

"She… I am scared. I… I just... want them to be a... safe," you spoke in between your hiccups while he nodded. 

"Yes, sweetie. They are good. Don't worry… both are alright. Calm down, cupcake," he comforts you with his soft voice while you're breaths are getting back to normal. 

He stroked your back gently while you wiped your face before breaking the hug. You didn't wish to pull away but you had to. He smiled, assuring you while his thumb caressed your cheek.

How can someone be so caring and gentle?

Before any of you speak something, the doctor comes out. Jimin and you reach him as he informs you two about Sarang's condition. She ate nuts mistakenly and she had but allergy fur to which her condition got worse. Good thing is that she was carried to the hospital before passing out otherwise her and baby's health might have worsened. 

"Can we meet her?" You asked as he nodded. 

You both entered the room and found her laying on the bed. She was awake. As said by the doctor, her condition wasn't as bad as you thought. 

"You should take more care," you muttered and she smiled while apologising for worrying you. Jimin and Sarang greeted each other awkwardly and then again ignored each other. Jimin just didn't like how she came back after hurting his best friend so much? How was she allowed to stay with you after what she did? How easily Jungkook forgives her?

While she was resting in the hospital you visited Jeon corps for some work. You weren't able to find the contract you signed with Jungkook's dad and knowing he has a copy of it, you decided to visit the company. 

The employees and others greeted you as you walked inside the company. Reaching his dad's floor you walked towards his cabin. You gave a small knock on the door and after hearing a small 'come in' you entered. 

His face lightened up seeing you as you pushed a smile on his face. You didn't hate him but you weren't in any mood to smile. You were here to get papers to divorce his son.

"How are you, my daughter?" He asks, patting your head and you are reminded of your dad. You nodded with a warm smile, tears brimming in your eyes. 

"Good. How are you and eomma?" You ask and he gives a thumbs up.

"We are planning for our second honeymoon," he giggles, making you almost choke on your saliva. Not in disgust but surprise, how they still maintained to give each other so much love at this age. You guess this generation was only hard to love. 

"Appa, I'm here to take print of our contract. I am sorry… but I need them…" he cuts you off.

"To divorce him?" He asks, and you freeze. You can't lie. You are here for divorce and you will be honest.

"Yes. Things aren't working between us," you explained while he nodded, completely forgetting about another contract he made with Jungkook. 

"Here's the key to the locker. Go and get your papers. I have a meeting in a few minutes so I need to leave," his voice was now cold and rough, making you feel small. He was disappointed. He wanted you to be his son's lover but you can't be when he…

As you walked inside the locker room and twisted open the locker, your hand-dug into the search for the papers. You found papers written as 'contract Agreement' and you pulled it out. 

'Agreement between Jeon Jungkook and Jeon Jeonsuk, published in 2020'

Your brows creased as you read the name. Agreement between son and father? And that too last year? 

You were going to ignore the agreement thinking it could be their probate matter but the small name at the end of the page engraved beside Jungkook's caught your attention.

'Jeon Jungkook to marry Jung y/n for the sake of the company. To be the owner of the Jeon Corps, the heir of Jeon Jeonsuk should marry Jung y/n and can not file for the divorce service for at least two years after the date of marriage registration. '
