Chapter 24 Trust Issue

Taehyung's POV

I continue to talk with Jin for few hours until it was time for me to go back to college.

When I arrived there, there was a lot of people in front of the gate because it was already lunch time.

Even though I'm not mad at Jin anymore, I still didn't want to see my parents yet. I need some times and if I eat at the cafeteria, I'm pretty sure I'll see my parents on my way.

That is why I send a message to Jimin. He quickly answered me by telling to join him and JungKook at our favorite restaurant.

I walk back to the university to take my cars then I drive toward the restaurant.

Once I arrived there, I just told my name and the waitress took me to the private room that Jimin asked.

Of course, thanks to his social statues, he didn't have to reserved a private room to have one. He just have to ask for one.

"Taehyung !" Jimin said when I come in the room.

I thanks the waitress as she left then I turn around and smile at Jimin

"Hey guys" I said sitting around the table

"So if I remember, you have something to tell us" Jimin said as soon as I sit down.

"Yeah right..."

"So ?"

"Hum... why don't we order first ?" I ask looking at the table but there was already food.

"I ordered for us" Jimin explained and I nod.

I took a mouthful of my plate before I look at them and start to tell about everything starting from yesterday.

How I learned about the news, my urge to leave and found myself in front of Soomi's building, how was my parents' reaction this morning and the explication that Jin-hyung told me.

While I was telling my brother's story, I look at JungKook and I stop in the middle of my sentence when I released something.

"My mom is Mrs. Jeon" Jin told me earlier

Mrs. Jeon...

Jeon...

"You !" I said standing up and point my finger at Jungkook "You knew about it ! You knew that my brother was your mom's child ! You knew about everything and you didn't utter a word !" I accused him

JungKook - who was eating calmly his food - lift his eyes from his plate and frown at me.

"Excuse me ?!" he repeat as if he couldn't believe what I just said.

"You knew about everything ! Why didn't you tell me ?!" I shout

"Because they forbid me to." he said simply

"I thought you were my friends but I'm obviously wrong ! Wow I can't believe that you hide this from me !"

JungKook blink once... twice then his mouth was wide open.

"Are you seriously shouting on me from hiding you about the truth ?!" he ask in disbelief

"YES !"

"If I remember from what you just said, you forgave Jin-hyung so why are you shouting at me ?!"

"Jin-hyung ?! JIN-HYUNG ?! How dare you calling him like that !" I shout

This time, JungKook put back his chopsticks on the table, or might I say, smash his chopsticks on the table, making a loud noise as he stand up.

"What the hell ?! So what, I can't call him like that ?! In case your mind is too slow, being my mom's child mean that Jin is my brother too ! Not only yours. So I can call him whatever I want." he shout

"Wow, wow, wow. Calm down guys, please sit down" Jimin said standing up and tried to push on our shoulder to sit us down but I just shrug away his hand on my shoulder.

"Your brother ?" I ask surprised

Of course ! Why didn't I thought about it !

"Yes my brother !" he said and he walk away

"Where are you going ?" Jimin shout before JungKook could reach the door.

"Out of here. I'm sick of hearing our dear Taehyung complains about his life. How he lived in a lie and all. What about ME ? huh ?" he said and he turn to glare at me.

"Sure I knew the truth but do you think my live was that easy ? Of course not ! I couldn't see my brother each day because he was living at Taehyung's house. Not mine. I heard my mom crying some night after Jin-hyung left to go back to his house but I couldn't do anything because I wasn't Jin. I saw the look my mom gave to Taehyung each time he's visiting me. I saw how much she wanted to ask news about Jin but she couldn't because it would be weird to Taehyung. Oh I forgot, because of the dear Kim Taehyung, my mom couldn't visit Jin-hyung anymore because he was born. You were treated like a king" JungKook said looking at me

"We had to paid attention at every details so you wouldn't discover that Jin is my brother as well. Because your mom thought it would hurt your feeling. Each time I was visiting your house I couldn't act normal around Jin. I couldn't call him 'hyung' or 'bro' just because you were there. I can't hang out with my brother because of you. ALL OF THAT BECAUSE OF MISTER KIM TAEHYUNG !" he shout then he open the door and slam it behind him.

"I'll go talk to him" Jimin said standing up, not waiting for my answer as he walks toward the table but he turn around one last time time.

"Taehyung... you're okay ?" he ask and I slowly nod.

He look at me as if he didn't believe me but still open the door and run after JungKook.

After lunch, I drive back home. I didn't want to go back to the university and I spend the rest of the day staring at my ceiling while I laid on my bed.

Thankfully, no one was at home.

I kept repeating what happened at the restaurant and seriously, I wanted to punch something. The worst in what JungKook said is that he's right. For everything.

I need to talk about it to someone.

I took my phone on my bedside table and look at the time.

It's 7:43pm

She must have finished her work now.

I dial the number of the only person who can help me right now.

"Hello ?" Soomi said after the second rang.

"Soomi-ah..."

"What's going on ?"

"I don't know..."

"It is about last night ?"

"Kind of..."

"What do you mean ?" she ask and for the second time today, I told her about what happened, this time adding what happened at the restaurant.

"Oh I see..." she said after I finished

"You see ?"

"Yeah. You have a trust issue"

"What do you mean ?" I ask confused

"You just discovered that they lied to you. You obviously feel betrayed so you were at first mad at them but now that JungKook told you about how he felt, you're angry at yourself. You're rejecting the fault on you because you think you should have discovered it sooner..."

"How did you know ?"

"Because it kind of happened to me..."

"What should I do ?"

"Talk to JungKook. You forgave Jin, you can forgave him as well"

"I know but it isn't that easy..."

"You're afraid that he'll betrayed you another time ?" she ask

"Yeah..."

"It will take you time to trust people once again but you need to at least trust one person. Just once. Then you will be able to talk with JungKook and maybe your parents and everything will be back to normal. Maybe even better."

Author's Note

I'm so sorry for the late update (LMAO my last update was 2 weeks ago but still, I find it late for just an edit).

I will try to update as soon as possible, just so you know I'm taking care of my grandma who came to visit us and had planned to live with us for the next two month (The last time I saw her was 4 years ago so...).

I also need to take care of my niece... I learned 2 months ago a heartbreaking news. My niece got the cancer, at such a young age :( I offered to visit her at the hospital when her mom is at works.

And as some of you might know, I'm translating some K-Pop song on Aisarangsub's YouTube's channel so it takes some of my free time. It's a french channel by the way...
