episode five ~ the last shot

Gia's heart pounded in her chest, nervous unlike the girls beside her as the car pulled up to a driveway.

Taking Saverio's hand she got out of the car with Chiara and Ludo. Saverio's hand on her and Chiara's back was all she thought about as he led them into the house, Fiore with Ludo right behind them.

Loud music blasted around them, lights going into every direction, people dancing and drinking and laughing.

Looking around nervously, Gia couldn't wait till they got drinks.

Chiara noticing the nervousness in her friend, she grabbed her hand, squeezing it in encouragement. Gia gave her a quick smile.

"My brother look at who I brought," Saverio told his friend, gesturing to the three girls.

"Our divas!" His friend exclaimed.

"Great, let's get started?" He looked at them and the Saverio.

"First me," Saverio gestured to himself. "With them," he gestured to the girls.

"Go on, with Saverio. Both of you," Saverio's friend ushered them. Gia furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, staying in her place. Chiara took her hand, pulling Gia with her, while Ludo was excitedly walking towards Saverio.

"Get in close. Hug each other. Hug each other," friend of Saverio's who Gia just realized was a photograph, told them, camera in his hands.

Ludo, Chiara and Gia posed with Saverio and two other girls they didn't know.

"Come on, Saverio. Beautiful," the photographer encouraged, actually raising Gia's mood up a little. "That's it. Get in close, you're great."

"Thank you," Saverio said, raising fron the seat he was sitting on. "I'll leave you to work."

"All right ladies, let's get some shots of you, get up on there," he told them.

Holding each other's hands, then got up to stand in front of the background.

"That's it," he encouraged as they started posing. "Now look at each other."

After what seemed like an hour but was probably like seven minutes, he allowed the girls to get down.

Ludo walked towards to where Saverio and Fiore stood, while Chiara and Gia stayed with the photographer looking at the pictures he took.

"They're really good," Gia said, surprised. Chiara nodded in agreement, smiling at the pictures.

The trio walked into the women's toilets, after getting drinks.

The alcohol has calmed Gia down, and she wasn't nervous about being here anymore.

"Cool place, right?" Ludo laughed.

"Are you drunk already?" Chiara laughed, touching up her makeup in the mirror.

"Such a lightweight," Gia joked, rolling her eyes. Ludo shoved her lightly, laughing.

"I'm not," she told them, giving Gia a pointed look. "But I soon will be," she raised her drink, spilling some of it on the floor in the process.

All three of them looked at the ground with the still laughing. "You're not normal," Chiara told her.

"Neither are you," Ludo told her. Gia snorted and Ludo looked at her. "You're not normal either, stop laughing," she told her, laughing herself.

"Who knows what will happen tonight," Chiara said, putting on her lipstick.

Gia hummed, as she turned to look at herself in the mirror, touching up her hair, posing and admiring herself.

"What do you think will happen?"

Chiara laughed, "I don't know."

"What I said before about Fiore was all bullshit," Ludo told them.

"Oh, really?" Gia said, looking at her with raised eyebrows, Chiara doing the same.

"I never would have guessed," Chiara said. "Thank you for sharing."

"I think I love him," Ludo said, more quietly.

"Hold on, you barely know him," Gia told her, looking at her with wide eyes.

Chiara slapped her arm, "what about him? Does he feel the same?"

"He's being a jerk!" Ludo exclaimed, ignoring Gia's comment. "He keeps asking me what happened with the dentist."

Gia whistled, "he's jealous," she said in a singing tone.

"I know it's because he's jealous," she laughed.

Chiara laughed even more, "look at the three of us, we're hopeless. Your guy lets you sleep with other guys," she said looking at Ludo. "Your guy is too scared to admit he wants you," looking at Gia. "And my guy is sleeping with my friend."

"Cheers to that!" Gia raised her drink, bumping it with her friends.

"We should be in the loony bin."

————

"Let me buy you a drink," the guy Gia was dancing with whispered in her ear, hands on her lips.

Gia smiled and turned her head lightly, their lips so close they were almost touching.

"How can I say no to that," she said in low tone, taking his hand in hers.

"You can't," he grinned at her, letting her take him away from the dance floor to the bar.

"Two Moscow Mule's," the mysterious guy that Gia still didn't know the name of told the bartender, giving him cash.

Both of them sat down, and Gia watched him.

"What's your name?" He asked.

Gia didn't answer right away, contemplating whether she should say her real name or fake one.

"What are you thinking about?" The guy in front of her asked. He was quite handsome, Gia realized as she kept looking at him.

He wasn't very old, definitely at least ten years older though, he also wasn't giving the dentist vibes, more of Chiara's type a situation Gia would say.

"I'm deciding whether to tell you my real name or give you a fake one," Gia told him honestly, smiling at him.

The guy laughed, "I'm Eliseo," he introduced himself.

"That's your real name?" Gia joked.

Eliseo chuckled and nodded, "my real name, yes."

"I'm Gianna," she truthfully said.

"So how do I know if that's your real name?" He asked with a smile.

"You won't," she gave him a flirty smile, leaning closer to him. "You'll just have to trust me."

Looking at her lips, "okay. I'll trust you then," he said.

"Two Moscow Mule's," the bartender said, placing the drink in front of them.

"They have really good drinks here," Gianna said, taking a sip of her drink.

Eliseo nodded. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a see through baggie. Gia looked at the white powder inside the baggie with concerned expression as he opened it and put some of it on the bar.

Turning his head to look at Gia, finding her gaze trained on what he was doing. "You want some?" He asked her.

Gia raised her eyes up from his hands to his eyes. "I don't know," she shook her head. "I've never had.. that," she gestured to it.

"No worries, it's good stuff. You should try it," he beckoned. Pulling out his credit card, he made out of the powder a line and then rolled up a twenty euro bill.

"Just inhale it," he told her, offered her the bill.

Hesitantly taking the bill from his hands, she hopped from the chair she was sitting at, coming up closer to where Eliseo sat.

Her heart was beating loudly in her chest and she looked at him. He gave her an encouraging nod and she did what he told her, inhaling the powder.

Snaking his arm around her waist, he held her and moved his thumb against the laced sheer top she wore, as she shut her eyes tightly and took a deep breath, clearing her throat.

"You okay?" Eliseo asked her, looking at her with a grin.

Clearing her throat again, she nodded, muttering 'yup' under her breath.

Eliseo laughed, his hand leaving her waist to take the bill and do his own line.

Gia watched him, admiring his looks, with a sly smile on her face, her vision a bit blurry.

"What you smiling at?" He looked at her, sexy smirk on his face.

Gia blushed and shook her head, "nothing." After being quiet for few seconds, she bit her lip and gathered her confidence to ask him a question.

"Do you want to kiss me?" She licked her lips, looking at him little nervously.

His gaze slid to her lips, thinking about his answer for few seconds he looked back up to her eyes, "do you want me to kiss you?" He answered with a question.

Gianna blushed and giggled, "I do," she whispered, looking up at him under her lashes.

"Yeah?" He questioned, you could hear his breath get heavy, as he kept his gaze locked onto her lips.

Eliseo was aware that Gianna was a lot younger than him, he knew this was a bad decision, but he couldn't resist.

Putting his hand on the back of her neck, he tighten his grip on her neck and pulled her towards himself.

Gianna yelped, but it was silenced by his lips as he kissed her.

She hesitated for a second, slowed down by the drugs she's taken, before relaxing as much as was possible for her and opening her mouth for him, letting him kiss her.

Pulling away from her, he said, "let me take you home," before Gia could register his words, he was already getting off of the chair he was sitting on, he grabbed her hand and lead her towards the exit to his car.

"Wait," she tried to pull him to a stop, but he was too big. "My friends are here," she looked over her shoulder.

"I'm sure they'll be fine," he told her, stopping in front of her. "Let me drive you home," seeing the unsure look on her face, "your home," he clarified.

Gianna took a deep breath and nodded, "okay."

Getting into his car, she told him an address that was few blocks away from her house, just in case.

Pulling out her phone out of her bag, she pulled up a group chat with Ludo and Chiara, texting them 'I went gome, are you guy safee?' Not bothering to fix her typo, she sent it.

Trying to fight the sleep that was very close to overcoming her, she turned her attention to Eliseo.

"Where do you live?" She asked him.

He turned his head to look at her before looking back onto the road.

"Maybe you'll get to see it someday," he said, not looking at her, but Gianna could see the grin that he was trying to hide.

Slapping his arm, "tease," she said with a laugh. "Are you even good to drive?" She remembered he wasn't sober. "I mean you had a drink and a line with me who knows how much of it you had before me," she rambled.

"Does it seem that I drive weirdly?" He asked with smug smile on his face.

"I can't tell if that's just my world spinning or you not knowing how to drive," she joked but not really.

"Funny," he told her with a deadpan.

"Your place," he said, pulling to a stop, looking around where he stopped and then her, raising his eyebrows at her in question.

Looking around herself, Gia realized there was only one house on the street, that in no way looked like someone like Gia would live there, and a closed store.

Looking at him sheepishly, she smiled, "thank you for the ride," she leaned in close, giving him a peck on the cheek.

Gianna put her hand on the door handle, prepared to leave, but Eliseo stopped her by putting a hand on her arm.

Taking her phone out of her bag, he put it in her direction to use her face to open it. Going into contacts, he put his number and then gave it back to her.

"In case you feel like checking out my place," he winked at her and turned back to his wheel.

Gianna blushed and got out of the car, watching him drive away. Sighing, smile on her face she made her way home.
