Chapter 16

I carried Hermione to her room,and placed her in her bed.She was still crying.I went in the kitchen and put a sleeping potion on a glass.Then I came back in her room.

"Here baby,drink this...You'll get better"She didn't ask me what it was,she drank it,then she closed her eyes.I looked at her,she was so beautiful,but so sad...I blamed myself for that night.

"My love...It's all my fault" I whispered."How I wish I could turn back time...But I'll never do you wrong babygirl.I'll never hurt you,I promise" I said kissing her forehead.

As soon as I heard Hermione screaming my eyes were wide open.I got upstairs and headed to her bedroom,she was having a nightmare,and she was covered on sweats

"Hermione wake up" I said shaking her

"DON'T TOUCH ME,NO!!! AAAAH...DRACO,DRACO WHERE ARE YOU" she screamed

"Shhh 'Mione I'm here" She opened her eyes

"They're coming to get me" she said panicking

"Nobody will touch you as long as I'm alive,calm down,it was just a dream.Come on you need to wash your face"She stood up and we headed to the bathroom,when she turned on the light I noticed that she was crying.

"Are you okay?" I asked while she sat on her bed."What did you saw this time?"

"I saw that night on the Manor...But this time it was different,you were prisoned and you couldn't help me,then I saw her...Pansy was there laughing at me as Bellatrix turtored me...I was so scared Draco" she said,tears streaming down her face.

"Hermione,Bellatrix is dead,Pensy is on Ministry's hand,they can't hurt you...It's all my fault,I shouldn't take you in my house again,if you wouldn't come..."

"Don't say a word...Just hug me,please" she said.I wiped her tears and kissed her forehead.

"You're going to be alright" I said.

"Don't leave me,I'm scared to sleep alone"

"I won't...Go to sleep now,I'm here nothing's going to happen to you"

She wrapped her arms around me and placed her head on my chest.

Do you ever feel like you're useless? You see someone suffering,but you can't do nothing...That's how I feel right now.This woman laying next to me has suffered a lot...She still is suffering,and I'm useless...the worst thing is that I'm guilty too.I'm looking at her angelic face,despite all the things that happened to her,she still manages to smile,even when she's sleeping.She's a strong woman,even that she cries sometimes...I understand her,everybody reaches that weak point in their life.I wish that I could kiss away the pain.

"Morning" she said in her sleepy voice while she opened her eyes.

"Morning love" I said kissing her on he cheek."Feeling better?"

"I'm good,since you're here...You know,when you put your arms around me like that I feel safe" she said smiling.I kissed her

"I'll always be here for you alright?"She nodded hugging me.

"C'mon now,it's time to get up.It's my first day at work"

"You're working?"

"I'm starting to"

"Oh really? What kind of work?"

"Auror"

"Auror?! And how may I ask you got this job?"

"Your friend Potter called me last night...He said he talked with Ministry and they accepted...I think they still want to keep an eye on me...But I'll be working with Harry"

"Really?" she said surprised

"Yeah...What about you?! I heard that you worked on Ministry too.Aren't you starting?"

"No...I don't feel like working now.But I'll be back in a short time"

After eating breakfast I got ready for work.

"Bye baby" I said kissing her

"See you" she said smiling

Instead of going straight to work I went at Neville's house.

"Hello Draco" said Luna opening the door, "Come in"

"Hi Luna,I don't have time but can you keep an eye on Hermione? I don't have time to explain but she's not okay and I have to go to work so I can't look after her"

"You started working?"

"Yeah,as an Auror in the ministry.Will you keep an eye on her?"

"Yeah sure,I'm bored staying alone anyway" she said smiling.

"That means Neville's back at Hogwarts teaching huh?"

"Yeah" she said

"I have to go now.Thanks for everything"

"Oh,don't mention it"

"Goodbye Luna"
