Chapter 17
00:50, 27 July 2015"Hey, Dre. How was your date?" Caitlin asked the next morning. "Apparently Alex is a psycho-metahuman." I muttered. "What? Did he hurt you?" She asked with wide eyes. "Of course not, then I wouldn't be here." I said with a small smile. "But you weren't home till late, what did you do?" She asked suspicious. "I went on an other date." I said, blushing. "With who?" She asked. "Barry." I whispered. "Who?" She asked. "Barry." I muttered a little bit louder. "Audrey, I can't hear you." Caitlin said, slightly annoyed. "I went on a date with Barry Allen." I practically shouted. "No way." She said. I bit my lip. My phone rung. "Audrey Raymond." I answered. "Barry Allen." I heard him chuckle. "I almost think you are stalking me." I teased. "I am." He chuckled. "Why are you calling?" I asked him. "I wanted to hear your voice." He said. I made an aw-sound. Someone shouted on the background. "I need to go. I'll call you later." He said and hung up. "Cait?" I called. "Yeah?" She asked. "Can you tell me more about Barry?" I asked. "He's 25 years old. And he works at the Police Department as a forensic scientist." She said. "Do you have something I can tease him with?" I asked smiling. "Barry is a nickname." She said. "No way!" I said excited. "Barry is going to kill me." She muttered, "His name is Bartholomew."
Caitlin left around an hour ago to go to S.T.A.R. Labs so I was all by myself. I lied on the couch with the television on. The only two friends I had weren't available. Iris was working and Felicity lived in Starling. I stood up to grab a bag of crisps, when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and saw a single rose lying on the doormat. I smiled and picked it up. I walked back to the living room and saw, to my surprise, Barry, with a whole bouquet of roses. "Barry? I thought you were at S.T.A.R. Labs?" I asked him, giving him a hug. "I sneaked out." He chuckled. "You're such a teenager." I teased. "Definitely." He laughed. He gave me the roses and a quick kiss. I walked to the kitchen to put the roses in a vase and when I got back, Barry sat on the couch, and patted beside him. I sat down and put my head on his shoulder. "You look stunning today." He smiled. I had my hair tied into a short ponytail and I wasn't wearing any make-up. "I look like crap." I laughed, looking at the old pajamas I was wearing. "I think you look adorable." He pouted. "You're the only one I want to look adorable for." I chuckled. I kissed his cheek and in silent I played with his hands. Suddenly he started to chuckle. "What's wrong?" I asked smiling. "I made you faint." He said. "Yeah?" I asked.
We stood on the roof of the building. "O my god." I muttered and quickly turned around. "Are you going to faint again because of me?" He asked jokingly. "Okay, first, I didn't faint. And second, not because of you, I'm afraid of heights."
"I can't believe you remembered that." I laughed. "I remember a lot of things." He smiled. "The first time we met. You wore a grey sweatpants and you had mascara stains al over your face. And all I could thing was:'She is the most beautiful girl I've ever seen.'" He said. I smiled. "What do you also remember?" I asked excited. "The time we went to Jitters, all of us. You said you wanted a normal life," He slowly said, "Audrey, with me your life never will be normal." His face was completely serious now. "If you're asking me to choose, I know I will choose for you again." I softly said. "You are definitely the girl of my dreams." He muttered before I pressed my lips on his.
