Chapter 4

19:01, 3 July 2015

"Haven't you heard of the Streak?" Iris asked. "The streak." I asked confused. "He's extremely fast, like inhuman fast. He saves people in the city." Iris excitedly told. "But I have to get back to work." Iris said before walking away. I stood up, Iris was helping a customer. "Have a nice day." Iris said with a smile to the man in a expensive looking suit. "Hey Iris." I said. "Hi, Annie?" She said, even trough it sounded more like a question. "Audrey." I corrected. "Sorry." Iris said, she looked like she was embarrassed because she forgot my name. "No problem, I haven't introduced myself." I told her with a smile, she seemed relieved. "I was wondering if we could talk someday." I said, suddenly nervous. "I'm interested in your story about that streak guy." I said immediately after it. "You can meet me here after work." She proposed. "Great." I smiled.

"Audrey? Where are you going?" Caitlin asked. "I'm going to Iris." I said to her. "Why that?" Caitlin asked confused. "We are going to talk about the streak." I told her, Caitlin looked shocked. "Audrey, you can't look for him." She firmly said. "Why not?" I asked her. "He might be dangerous." She nervously said. "I'm going." I said and I grabbed my coat. I didn't had to walk long before I was at Jitters, but it was cold. "Iris?" I called after I shut the door. "I'm coming." I heard someone, probably Iris, shout. Not much later she appeared behind the counter. "Hi." She said. "Hey." I replied. "So, you are interested in the streak." She mysteriously asked. "Kind of." I replied nervous, she just smiled. After that the lights started to flicker "Iris, what's happening." I asked, I must admit I was kinda scared. She didn't reply. Before I could ask anything else I felt a squall "Iris, what's wrong?" Another voice asked. I looked up and saw a shaking person in red. "Hello Streak." Iris said, I heard the enthusiast undertone in her voice. "O my god." I muttered. I took a few steps backwards but there stood a table, I fell over it. Before I could even blink, the person in red sat beside me. I could only look at his blurred face with enormous eyes. "Audrey, are you okay?" The voice asked. "How do you know my name?" I whimpered afraid, suddenly I couldn't breathe. "Audrey?" The voice asked concerned. He touched my face. I pushed his hand a way and rolled myself on my stomach. I closed my eyes and was gasping for air. "Iris, bring me a paper bag." The voice ordered. "Audrey, please breathe." A voice said. But it wasn't Iris. It was a male, and it sounded familiar, it sounded human. I felt something over my mouth and a little later my lungs filled themselves with air. "Streak?" I asked. I looked up, his face was a few inches away from me. "I prefer being called the Flash." He said and I could her that he was smirking. I sat strait up and closed my eyes. "Are you okay?" Iris asked. I opened my eyes, scanning the room for the Flash. But I only saw Iris. "I'm fine." I smiled at her. Slowly I stood up. "I'm really sorry, if I knew you would get a panic attack. Then I wouldn't have invited him." She apologized. "It's okay." I said.
