Victory: Liu Kang

Shang Tsung: Kombatants! I present this latest creation of Shao Khan. He is many warriors, their souls fused into one being. Behold.... Ermac!

(Ermac does some soul magic)

Raiden: Be wary Liu Kang. He is unlike anything you have fought before

Shang Tsung: Liu Kang! You are the chosen earth realm warrior to progress to this final stage of the tournament!

Liu Kang: I am ready

(Liu Kang gets into a fighting stance)

Ermac: We are many, you are one. We will destroy you

(Liu Kang fights Ermac. Ermac's many souls give him the knowledge of many fighting styles. But Liu Kang has the skill and sheer power to keep up with Ermac and defeat him)

Liu Kang: Earth realm will not fall into your masters hands

Kitana: He is a greater threat than anticipated. I will insure that he does not reach the final challenge

(Shang Tsung nods to Kitana)

(Liu Kang is practicing his form while Echo is balancing on the edge of a bridge on his hands, and Kenshi os meditating)

Raiden: Remeber Bo Rai Cho's teachings. For my vision to be realized, you must not let emotion overpower you

Liu Kang: Your visions. What causes them?

Raiden: My future self sent them to me. Perhaps to ensure some outcome

Liu Kang: Or maybe to prevent one

(Raiden has another vision)

Raiden: "He must win". Those are my last words before I die. I believe that it is you who must win. This amulet was forged by the elder gods. It cracked here in the present after my first vision. If we choose wisely, the future will be secured, and the cracks healed

Liu Kang: I trust you will make the right decisions

Echo: As do I

Kenshi: And I

Raiden: We must trust in the elder gods

(Raiden teleports away)

(Liu Kang notices Kitana walking up to him)

(Kitana tries to attack Liu Kang but he counters her every move)

Liu Kang: You're good, show me more

Kitana: Do not underestimate me, shaolin

Echo: Need some help?

Liu Kang: No, I've got this

Jade: Hey there, handsome

(Jade tries to attack Echo, but Echo blocks her moves)

Rain: Surprise!

(Kenshi and Rain start fighting)

(Liu Kang fights Kitana. He wasn't going all-out, so the fight lasts a lot longer than it realistically would. But Liu Kang is able to subdue Kitana without seriously injuring her)

(Echo staff fights Jade in the background and wins with a hit from his staff, knocking Jade out)

(Kenshi kicks Rain in the stomach and backflip kicks him in the face)

Liu Kang: I am impressed

Kitana: Do it

Liu Kang: Do what?

Kitana: Kill me

Liu Kang: Why would I do that?

Kitana: I came here to kill you. I have failed my father. My emperor

Liu Kang/Kenshi/Echo: Shao Khan is your father?!

Kitana: I have disgraced him. You must kill me

Echo: Don't look at me, this is your choice

(Liu Kang thinks for a moment before making a decision)

Liu Kang: I will not. This encounter never took place. You have disgraced no one. I hope we meet again, under different circumstances

(Raiden walks to the battle arena with Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kenshi, and Echo)

(Each of the four give Liu Kang some words of encouragement)

Shang Tsung: Kombatants! Only one earth realm warrior remains. The Shaolin Liu Kang. Your opponent will be Scorpion!

Liu Kang: I do not fear you, demon

Shang Tsung: Fighting with Scorpion, the sorcerer, Quan Chi!

(Quan Chi arrives from a portal)

Shang Tsung: You may choose a partner if you wish

Liu Kang: Echo, fight with me

Echo: Sure

Scorpion: You have already lost

(Liu Kang and Echo work together to beat Scorpion and Quan Chi. Quan Chi and Scorpion definitely have the supernatural power advantage, but Liu Kang and Echo seem to be more cohesive, being able to work as a powerful duo)

Liu Kang: As I said, I do not fear you. I pity you

Echo: Earth realm for the win

(Liu Kang and Echo high five)

Shang Tsung: Your next opponent will be Echo!

(Liu Kang has a surprised look on his face)

Echo: (Telepathically) Liu Kang, you need to win this fight. I'll let you win, but we have to make it look good

Liu Kang: (In his head) What? How is this even possible?

Echo: (Telepathically) I can communicate telepathically, but I don't do this very much. It hurts my head

Liu Kang: (In his head) Ok, lets fight

(Liu Kang fights Echo. Echo put up a good enough fight to look convincing, but let himself be beaten by Liu Kang)

Liu Kang: I have won, ninja

Raiden: You have done well, but the tournament is not yet over.

(There is a lot of chat going on about the tournament)

Johnny: Whats the point?

(Sonya shrugs)

Shang Tsung: Liu Kang, it has been years since an earth realm warrior has progressed this far. But the reigning champion is far beyond your ability. To the lair with you!

(Liu Kang falls through a portal)

Goro: I did not expect to fight in this tournament. But eventually even the shaolin produce a warrior worthy of a shokan

Liu Kang: I know who you are, I am ready for you!

Goro: I will give you a warrior's death

(Liu Kang fights Goro. Goro's sheer size and strength gives him the physical advantage, but Liu Kang's speed, smaller size, agility, and fire powers make him extremely difficult to hit. Eventually he's able to bring down Goro)

Liu Kang: It seems the shaolin trained a warrior greater than a shokan

(A portal sends Liu Kang back to the battleground)

Liu Kang: Shang Tsung! Only one fight remains! Face me... In mortal kombat!

Shang Tsung: So be it

(Liu Kang fights Shang Tsung, it was a difficult fight because Shang Tsung was impersonating Liu Kang. When Shang Tsung tried the bicycle kick, Liu Kang slammed Shang Tsung into the ground, because he knows his moves)

Liu Kang: Say it

Shang Tsung: I concede

(Some celebrate while others are disappointed)

Kung Lao: Well done my friend

Echo: Great job, Liu Kang

Raiden: He has saved earth realm

(A blinding light shows)

Sonya: That was awesome, Liu Kang!

Night Wolf: Congratulations

Jax: Way to go kid!

Johnny: MVP, baby!

Kenshi: A victory well earned

(Shang Tsung walks through a portal with Jade, Baraka, Reptile, Kano, Rain, Kitana, and the rest of his followers)

(Kitana gives Liu Kang a love struck look before she leaves)

(Raiden bows to Liu Kang)

(Liu Kang returns the gesture)

(Raiden's amulet cracks)

(Meanwhile)

Shao Khan: You have failed me! Five hundred years I have waited! Now I must wait five hundred more!

Shang Tsung: My lord, all is not lost!

Shao Khan: Curse the elder gods and their tournament, I should have taken earth realm by force! But I am bound by their rules, rules that cannot be broken

Shang Tsung: My lord-

Shao Khan: Kill him

(Baraka and Reptile hold Shang Tsung while Kitana extends her fan blades)

Shang Tsung: But what if the rules were changed?

Shao Khan: Kitana!

(Shao Khan makes a stop hand)

(Kitana lowers her blade)
