= WHY WAS THE KID HERE? Shouldn't Ian have sent her away? Madison couldn't waste time thinking as she hurriedly slips the egg into her bag and headed to the girl.
"Come on! Your father will kill me if you get hurt." Madison takes the girls hand and had the kid follow her. Going up the stairs, Madison made Kelly go before her and pulled out her own pistol. Firing at the velociraptor when it lunged at them.
Terrified children scattered along the kitchen, all bodies pressed against the counters as the sound of claws tapping the ground reaches their ears.
Small calls of vibrations were felt in the air. The velociraptor was just right beside Madison. Her messy purple and pink hair in every direction as she stares wide eyed at where her young Nephew was still.
"What are they!?" Kelly shouts as she and Madison exits the laboratory, Maddy had grabbed her hand again and fired a few more times at the same velociraptor that dodged them.
They were now in a hallway with two separate ways splits, Madison, she couldn't leave the girl alone. She couldn't make her go down a path that could potentially have another velociraptor while Madison's didn't.
"Velociraptors, highly intelligent animals..." Madison informs the girl in a whispered tone. "How are you here?"
"I snuck into the RV then followed you when I saw you run away." Kelly answers. "Hey- you're Madison Faye Hammond." She gasps.
"You know my name?" Madison inquires and pulls open a door where she ushers Kelly into and she also enters. Using a desk to be pushed against the metal door then moved things to reach the rectangular window.
"Yea, dad always talks about you." Kelly answers to which Madison laughs loudly.
"That's nice to know- well not when we are about to be velociraptor meat." Madison comments, tapping the glass that breaks under her tap. Must've worn out. She frowns in confusion. There were claw marks from attempted breaking in or exiting so that was-
"AH!" Kelly screams causing the older female to turn and find the young girl staring down at a human skeleton on the ground nearest to the door.
"Shit." Madison whispers, crouching down as they hear a few cracking of bones. Only to find a tiny furred creature roll from underneath the desk.
Madison could only feel Kelly jump as they see around two more hopping out of their hiding place. "Where's their mother?" Madison whispers, looking around.
The cubs looked malnourished and jumps at the sound of claws scraping the doorway followed by the calling sound of velociraptors.
"Do you have space in that backpack of yours Kel?" Madison asks the girl who looks to her with a look of confusion but nods. "What would you say about having three tiny companions plus that egg?" Madison asks, taking the bag the girl passes her.
"Will they hurt us?" Kelly whispers, not wanting to have the dinosaurs outside to hear her.
"They must be around only a few weeks old, if you treat them with kindness then they probably won't." She responds.
"Hey... look, they are just hungry that's all." Madison explains, hand ghosting over them to which made what seems to be the youngest of the pack to growl and hiss. Stopping when a grey gas explodes, going away with Kelly wafting the smoke away to reveal an older version of the cubs.
"Woah, dad said you were a mutant but I didn't expect this." Kelly whispers. Googling her eyes at the creature who shrugs, eyes flicking over to the window. "You want me to go through?" She asks and Madison nods.
"What if they're outside?" Kelly cautiously wonders over.
Growing softly, Madison shakes her head and watches the tiny creatures staring up at her before she moves to pull a box around so that Kelly could hop out.
With a few more assuring nods, Kelly slivers out and Madison moves to pick up each cub and pass them to Kelly on the outside.
Once they rescued them, the door kicks open with the pack of velociraptors lunging at Madison who does her best to crawl out. Roaring slowly before she successfully escapes, only receiving aimed attacks on the legs, leaving gashes along the sides.
Transforming back to a human, Madison places the cubs in Kelly's bag, zipping it up enough for them to breath alright and then began dragging the girl through the forest.
"Your legs-!"
"They are fine! Just keep running to the camp." Madison responds in a ushered tone, they could hear the loud calls of the velociraptors.
Ian and his group ventures through the forest, him trying his best to connect with Madison as they all heard the loud shattering noise and multiple roses of what sounds of velociraptors.
"Madison!" Ian shouts into the phone. "Goddammit, no one answers their phones these days!" He groans.
"Maybe she had to leave it Ian." Nick suggests.
"Maybe she was eaten?" The group turns to an awkward looking Eddie, Ian narrows his eyes at the male before returning to the call. "I'm not wrong."
"Madison is stronger than you think." Tony remarks, glaring at the man who holds his hands out in a surrendering tone.
"Could you track her Tony?" Ian asks the man.
"She doesn't have the steel bracelet I was supposed to give her." Tony responds, pulling out a steel bracelet with a circle matching his heart colour in the middle. "I had just pulled it out when she just began running off."
"-That stupid girl! Always running into danger." Ian screams.
"Look! Smoke!" Nick points out, making the group turn in the direction before they sprint over. Having a need to stop that fire.
Their legs ached when they reached the destination, stopping when they find a familiar purple and pink haired girl sitting down on a log. Pant sleeves pulled up with a med kit placed beside her.
"Madison!" Ian shoots over with the others as Nick focuses on diminishing the fire. Tossing a whole jug of water on them.
"It's best to use dirt." Sarah, Ian's girlfriend comments to Nick. Grabbing a chunk of dirt and throwing it on top. They do this a couple of times before the flame gone.
"What happened?" Ian asks the girl while Tony takes the girls hand and slaps the bracelet onto it.
"Never go without this next time." Tony laughs with a short chuckle.
"I was in the old hatchery, and I found her." Madison points to the truck where the door opens with Ian's and Sarah's face paling.
Kelly Malcolm has entered the scene with a pan.
"I tried to cook dinner."
