Day 24- Where there's a will there's a way!
18:31, 18 September 2016Yosh! Let's do this!
I still can't believe Gajeel gave me couple tickets to the carnival for tomorrow.I mean, sure he could have taken Levy with him but he says he's too busy so...Guess it's my lucky day.
I'm gonna make sure Jellal says yes to go with me tomorrow!
I have to win no matter what! I have to prove to Meredy that no love is as strong as my love!
I rang the door bell a few times and waited for Jellal to open the door. Adjusting my clothes and pushing back my hair a little, I clenched my fist and took a deep breath.
I can do this...
I just have to ask him--
"Oh, Erza-San!" I suddenly heard Mimi scream. I looked down at her but in a flash she dashed towards me and landed a hug.
"I was just thinking about you! Come in!" She said and dragged me inside.
"Who is it Mimi-Chan?" Jellal asked from the kitchen.
"It's your girlfriend, Onii-Sama!"
Ehhh?! O-Onii-Sama?
"I-I'm not his girlfriend!" I yelled embarrassingly.
"Eh? You're not?" She let go of my hand and frowned confusedly.
"No..." I blushed.
"Yo, Scarlet." Jellal walked out of the kitchen with a ladle in his hand. He also wore an apron that had flour stains on it. Man, he looked so handsome! Ugh, I wish I was his girlfriend! His eyes, his nose, his lips, everything appears so perfect every time I look at him--
"Oi, stop daydreaming, will you? Come on and give me a hand in the kitchen." He said and walked back to the kitchen.
"Oh, I need to change Momo's diaper, so be right back Erza-San!" Mimi trode towards the guest bedroom and I promptly, I headed to the kitchen.
"Sorry for intruding!" I muttered.
Jellal was whisking something in the bowl. Then he cracked a few eggs and beat it rather handsomely. Then he pushed back his hair with the back of his hand and poured the batter in the baking tray.
"You'll never stop daydreaming, right?" He sighed and placed the baking tray in the oven.
"So, you're baking cake? On what occasion?" I asked and walked towards him.I stood opposite the platform and rested my arms on it.
"Felt like it, no big occasion." He removed his apron and washed his hands.
"I see..."
"What brings you here?" He asked, "As far as I know, you're not here to see Mimi or Momo, correct?"
Damn, he's intelligent.
"Actually, I was just passing by so I thought I would drop by, you know, say hi to you all." I chuckled nervously.
"Liar." He sat across me and flicked my forehead.
"Ow!"
"You really should stop lying. You're a bad liar." He smirked.
"Excuse me, I am not lying." I defensively crossed my arms.
"Really now? Then why do I have a feeling that you want to ask me something, hm?"
Seriously? Am I that transparent?!
"I-I don't want to ask you anything!" I pouted.
"You stuttered, that's means I'm right." He raised one of his brow.
"Shut up, will you?"
"Whatever not that I care what you want to ask."
What do I do now? Should I just ask him to go to the carnival with me tomorrow?
Wouldn't it be too abrupt? Nah...I can't waste time...
"Jellal, as a matter of fact--"
"Onii-Sama, is Momo's milk warmed up?" Mimi suddenly barged into the kitchen and stopped opposite Jellal.
Anyway, what's with the "Onii-Sama" all of a sudden?
"Yep, hold on." He got up and walked over to the stove.
I looked at Mimi and she looked at me back. We were just staring at each other.
And not to mention I'm pretty good at staring but, somehow...I don't understand her.
"Mimi-Chan, here you go." Jellal handed her the milk bottle.
"Arigatou Onii-Sama!" She bowed and left the kitchen after giving me a strangely serious glance.
I confusedly tilted my head and unconsciously focused on Mimi, however, soon after she had disappeared from my sight, leaving me yet in a muddled-state.
"She never gives me the chance to take care of Momo, says she can do it herself." Jellal uttered.
I shot a glance at him and saw him smiling.
He never smiles that much but...after Mimi and Momo arrived in his life, he's smiling more often.
Is that a good sign?
I don't like this...I know I should be happy that he's smiling but--
"You gonna help me decorate the cake or what?" Jellal asked.
No...what if I have a chance with him? What if his happiness brings us both closer?
"Sure, I will." I smiled with a nod.
"Then cut some strawberries, will you?" He ordered.
"Jellal," I called out and inclined my head.
I'm gonna ask him...
"Tomorrow there's a carnival at Sakura Park..." I bit my lip, "Will you go with me?"
