Day 18- Oh My Baby?! (Part 1)
12:55, 4 September 2016"EHHHHHHHH?! LUCY WENT TO OKINAWA WITH HER PARENTS? WHEN? AN HOUR AGO?! YOU SERIOUS WENDY? I HOPE YOU'RE NOT JUST MAKING IT UP CAUSE SHE DOESN'T WANT TO TALK TO ME!"
"Gee Erza-San, will you stop shouting. I'm telling the truth all right?"
"But, she didn't tell me anything!"
"Of course she wouldn't. She doesn't even want to see your face, well, that's what she said to me."
"Oh gosh...How can she be so rude?"
"I know right, I have never her so angry before..."
"She won't even pick up my calls will she?"
"Nope."
"Damn what do I do?!"
"You just wait until she gets back."
"Seriously?"
"Then you planning on going to Okinawa too?"
"Sure, if you can buy me a plane ticket Wendy."
"Erza-San, I gotta go now, my moms calling me so see ya!" She quickly hung up the phone and wow that's a great excuse because she doesn't have a mom.
Man, what do I do now? I can't go to Okinawa unless I have money!
Should I maybe rob a bank? Or Kidnap someone and maybe ask for ransom--
All right, calm down Erza Scarlet. Have patience.Lucy will eventually come back and then you can ask for her apology again.
You don't need to implement those rebellious things so stay put, will you?
This is the worst morning of my life. The toast is burned, the eggs taste weird, there's no coffee powder and I'm super sleepy because I couldn't sleep a wink last night!
What more could go wrong right?
My telephone rang and I ran towards it.
"Hello?"
"Is this the Scarlet household?"
"Uh...Probably..."
"Can I talk to Mr.Scarlet?"
"Who are you?"
"I'm the guy who your father stole money from and ran away--"
I quickly disconnected the call and went back to the kitchen to make myself some pancakes.
--
"That would be 28 bucks Ma'am." I placed her items in the bag and handed it over to her.
"Here you go." She handed me the money.
"Thank you and have a nice day!" And I bowed deeply.
"You too!" She waved.
"I wish." I chuckled.
"What?"
"Nothing, goodbye Ma'am!"
"Goodbye!" And she left.
I sighed and lazily crashed down on my seat.
To be honest,It's gotten so boring to work here.
I wish I could have gone to a University or something.Ugh, I hate my dad for not having q proper job...
Maybe I should just quit working here and find a place that would pay me good.
But, I can't see Jellal anytime I want. Now, that's one thing that's holding me back.
Anyways, guess he won't be coming today huh.
I wonder though, what he was going to say to me yesterday.
If Lucy hadn't come, then maybe, our love--
No. I really got to snap out of my delusions.
I've been thinking too much lately, and I think I should stop.
--
I locked the store and decided to head home.
On my way, I noticed a cat in an alley, near the dustbin, looking at me with puppy-eyes.
I felt sad, cause obviously it must Be hungry. So, I walked over to it, knelt down and stroked it's cute, little head.
It purred, and purred and purred and then suddenly ran away deep in the dark alley.
Was there something behind me? Cause all I know, is that I'm not scary looking.
I looked behind--just in case-- but, no one was there, so I got up and well, turned around to leave again, but right then I heard a faint whimpering sound coming from the trash cans.
It was too dark to see anything, and I thought it must have been the cats kittens, but I heard the whimpering again and this time it was loud, and more human-like.
I quickly turned on the flashlight in my phone and looked beside the trash can.
A cardboard box was on top of the trash can lid, and inside was a baby wrapped in a pink cloth.
There was no note, no information of the sort to identify who's baby it might have been (Well, obviously cause whoever left the poor fellow here might not want him back. Eugh, heartless people)
I quickly picked the fragile individual and bought him out of the alley and unto the street light.
The poor thing was in such a scary, and dirty place. Who could have done such a thing? Leaving their baby? Are those guys for real?
I shook it a little, as in how mothers do to calm a child, and it whimpered again.
I don't know for how long this baby must have been here, but surely, it must be hungry, right? I am so why can't it be.
The only way to feed it to take it home since I don't think the neighbours would be too kind to hold on to a baby for a day until I report it to the police.
Sure, I could first go to the police, but I can't help but think of its hunger.I want to feed it first and aww...look, what a sad face it made.
Yosh! I have decided. I'm gonna take this baby home.
"Come on, little guy or girl or whatever, let's get you home!"
--
So, in the net, it said that it needs Luke warm milk, which fortunately, I do have. Phew...
But, I don't have--what you call one of those things?-- baby sippers?
How do you suppose I feed the baby then? Mom's not even home, like where does she disappear to when I seriously need her?!
Uh...Lucy's not here, Wendy won't come at this time of hour, Freed might come but, I don't think his dad would let him...and I could probably try calling Gajeel, but I think it's better not to call him since there's a ninety-nine percent chance, that the baby might get scared of him.
The only person left is Levy. Well, she seems fitting for the baby job.
"Hello, Levy?"
"Ah, Erza, sorry I can't talk right now! My cousins have come over and gosh they are so noisy--HEY! I TOLD YOU NOT TO EAT THE CHALK REY! Yea, sorry but can we talk later? Bye! AZUSA WILL YOU STOP BITING YOUR BRO--"
O-Kay....
The baby suddenly stared to cry. And it cutely wriggled it's hands and legs but at the moment, it was not cute at all cause I was on the brink of going nuts on 'how to manage a freaking baby'.
What do I do now? Who do I--
Wait a minute, there's still one person I haven't called yet. Maybe...just maybe...well, hopefully--
"Hello?"
"Ah, uh... it's me, Erza."
"What is it?"
"Are you busy?"
"No."
"Then...can you come over to my house?"
"At this hour?"
"Yea, if you don't mind..."
"Is something wrong?"
"Uh--haha...actually--"
