Chapter 3

15:14, 3 June 2025

Percy stared at his schedule and he furrowed his eyebrows, trying to read what and where his first lesson was going to be.

"... This sucks." Percy stated, looking to Grover who was looking at his own schedule in hand."What? The classes? I mean, they're not that bad but-" Grover began."No, my dyslexia is acting up again. I can't read any of this!" Percy exclaimed, huffing at the piece of paper.

"Need some help?"Percy and Grover stopped as an older boy went over to them. Percy looked up at the boy and he blinked. He was quite tall, blond hair, blue eyes, and he had a scar down his eye.

Percy looked at Grover and Grover shrugged at Percy. "... Depends. Are you one of those guys who claim they want to help but end up deceiving the new kids?" Percy questioned, looking back at the blonde. The blonde smiled at Percy, "Ooft, feisty."Percy stared at the blonde, waiting for a response.

"... No, I'm not one of those guys. I'm Luke, Luke Castellan. Everyone around this place sort of worships me?" Luke said, a grin on his face. Percy raised his eyebrows, clearly not believing this Luke. "Right." Percy said. "Well, I'm Percy Jackson. This is Grover Underwood. I have dyslexia and these schedules suck."

Percy held his schedule towards Luke and Luke raised his eyebrows. "Dyslexia, huh? I know someone else with dyslexia, she also struggled reading the schedules her first year here. How old are you?" Luke asked as he gently took Percy's schedule from his hand. "Fourteen." Percy replied. "Fourteen? You're in the same year as Annie then..." Luke said, sort of mumbling.

Percy wanted to question who this Annie was but Luke smiled as he handed Percy back his schedule. "I'll show you to your first class. I'll make sure to find you and give you a rundown of this place and show you around so you aren't confused." Luke said. "Sound good with you two?" Luke looked at Grover and Percy. "Yep, thanks!" Grover smiled at Luke. Percy stared up at Luke, shrugging. "I guess." Percy said.

Luke began to walk off and Percy and Grover followed behind. Luke started to talk to the two of them about the school, how things worked, and yada yada. Percy wasn't really paying attention.

Percy was looking around and he saw quite a few people glancing at them, a few of these people greeted Luke as Luke walked by and Luke greeted them back.

Great, Percy thought. It seemed like Luke was right, people did seem to worship him around this place. Not literally, of course. But Luke seemed popular. Especially with the ladies. Percy saw how some of them swooned as Luke walked by when they managed to get his attention.

This day was going to be hell.

Percy watched as Grover chowed down on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich across from him at the lunch table at the cafeteria. Percy glanced at his food on the table and he gently shoved the tray away from him.

"Yep, just lost my appetite..." Percy mumbled. "What? But you should eat!" Grover exclaimed once he finished chewing the large bite he took. "Especially since you didn't get much sleep last night!"

"... I'm fine." Percy said. "I'll eat when I get home... I just need to suffer..." Percy grabbed his schedule and looked at it. "Erm... Double biology? Double biology! Eugh..."

"Ooh, biology? That's cool! I have-!" Grover began, glancing at his own schedule. "Oh! Even better! Geography!" "Geography? Dude, I think you need to get your brain checked out. Geography sucks way more than biology." Percy said, grimacing at Grover. "You're crazy! Geography is fun!" Grover smiled at Percy.

"... Uh-huh..." "Stop looking at me like that! Anyway, we should arrange a place to meet up at the end so we can get on the bus together." "By the front of the school seems reasonable to me.""Alright! Cool!"
