Chapter 2: Seniors
02:32, 11 September 2020The rest of the day went by as almost a blur. I had received so many new textbooks and instructions by my new teachers. I felt as if I wouldn't have enough room in my locker by the amount of books in there. I could only fit 6 going horizontal on the top shelf. "Pile them up vertically so you'll have more room," a higher voice says behind me, allowing myself to turn around to find the chestnut haired boy. His hand stretched over my head to the top of my locker where he held himself up while holding a smug smile on his face. "Oh...right. Thanks," I reply, my cheeks turning multiple shades of red that must've only pushed him further, for he doesn't leave. "You look too mature for a freshie," he points out, the dangling of similar earrings to the rude boy catching my eye, as well as the many rings. "You sure you're not some short junior?" He asks, removing his hand to cross his arms and lean against the locker beside mine. "Pretty sure," I manage to grin, can't helping but to grin back at that cute smile of his. "Sorry, I'm Dea. You're the first Senior to actually treat me like a real human today," I admit, his smile only growing and his eyes getting smaller at the result. "Oh really? So, you know I'm a senior," he points out, my cheeks only growing red at the new information I had been fed by Jiwoo. I was going to open my mouth to say something when a hand is placed on his shoulder and a group of boys walk by. "Quit fishing for freshies, Jungkook," the tall blonde says, allowing Jungkook to just glare at him. "Who's you're friend?" One with black hair and heavy bangs that almost covered his blue eyes asks, eyeing me as I notice a smaller boy with his arms crossed refusing to look at me. It was him. "Fuck this, I'm starving," he replies before Jungkook could say anything. Finally meeting my gaze, he turns and continues walking down the hall, only for his posse to follow him. Jungkook looks back at me with a smile on his face, trying to cover the fact that he was embarrassed in front of me apparently. "Sorry about that, Dea," he apologizes, looking down at his ringed fingers for a quick second before meeting my eyes again. "I'm Jungkook. You should sit with us at lunch." Before I could deny his offer, he stands back upright before hurrying back down the hall towards his group. My lips lay parted as several students continue to follow the crowd towards the cafeteria.

I end up locating Jiwoo waiting beside a pillar at the end of a hallway. We walk together to get our food while she told me of her first few classes experience. I, however, was going to leave out a few details on only a couple minutes ago. "But yeah, he gave us like 4 books, 2 being actually textbooks while the others were novels," she sighs, complaining of English as we find an empty side of a long table with a few students on the other end. My eyes glance over to Jungkook making small glances my way while his friends were in deep conversation. "You are very distracted," she points out, turning around to meet where my eyes were fixed. "You're kidding..." "What?" I weakly laugh, trying to pull it off as me just spacing out. She knew I was lying though. "It's not what it looks like..." "Okay, first of all, those guys are your free ticket out of a chance of a good education. Second of all, if one talked to you, it better not have been Jung..." she's interrupted by a loud squeal from their table. Many eyes follow the noise, including ours, to find a senior girl at the boy's table with a bright smile on her face. The older class men didn't seem to phase it, while us freshmen found it weird. Her arms wrap around a certain boy's neck as he tries to sip his banana milk. It was the guy I ran into. His pretty eyes roll as he tries to pull her away, only for her to hold on tighter while ruffling Jungkook's hair, who sat right next to him. "Did you boys miss your Jennie?" She asks, just another girl comes their way towards the tall blonde who smiles at her presence. "No," the magenta haired boy replies as the other girl tangles her arm around the blonde, looking quite pleased. Jungkook just fixed his hair, a weak smile planted on his face while the girl greeted the others. "This summer was boring without you seven to entertain us," the one called Jennie pouts, her long, brunette hair hanging halfway down her back and lying nicely on top of her baby blue tank top and checkered skirt that she paired with 7 cm heels. "Lisa and I were dying." "Heh, right," Jungkook breathes, straightening his posture awkwardly as Jennie's long nails run along his neck and collarbone. He did not look comfortable. "How're you, Lisa?" The shorter blonde asks the dirty blonde girl biting her lip at the taller blonde. "Oh, Namjoon here and I, had quite the time," she gushes, the magenta haired boy's eyes rolling as well as Jungkook's. "Rose went to fetch some water for you, Jimin," she replies to the short blonde who I now recognized as Jimin. The blonde blushes at the sound of the other girl's name which was apparently Rose. "Where's Jisoo then?" Jungkook asks, rolling his shoulders to get her touch away from him. "She's in the bathroom. But she has been waiting to see you all summer, Taehyung," Jennie winks at the dark haired boy who just raises his eyebrows in almost annoyance before going back to his food. "I bet," he mutters. It was clear Jungkook, Taehyung, or the magenta, rude boy didn't like the presence of those girls. The other four, however, didn't seem to mind. In fact, they seemed to have enjoyed their company. It was then that the magenta boy glances up at me, a burning fire in his eyes that was different from Jungkook's fire. No, this fire was harsh and burning red. He was holding a grudge towards me. And for what? A phone that he broke? Suddenly, a dark red head with long, flowing hair marches up to them with a smug smile on her face. "Hey, Yoongi. Did you miss me?" 'So that was his name.'
