Chapter 32

I heard my alarm go off, I'd forgotten to turn it off...lay in! I tried to sit up but I had one dog sprawled across my chest, legs apart tongue out, the other was flopped over whip, reckon they thought they owned the bed...I reached over and turned it off not disturbing anyone. I just laid back down when i heard the door knock...the dogs both jumped up and stared down the stairs...

I wrapped a dressing gown around me, I'm sure the neighbours didn't want to see all of that early in the morning and I went down stairs, both dogs following who we had decided to call chip and Stanley...don't ask I didn't decide the names...I went to the door, unlocked it and opened it 'MUM!!' 'Heyup love how are you!?' I was pretty speechless, they don't tell me anything! 'Wheres dad?' 'Im hereeeeee' I smiled thinking shit whippet is asleep upstairs and I hope to god he comes down in some boxers... 'Come in!!' They smiled and walked through the door 'aww the dogs are gorgeous!' My mum said sat on the floor being licked to death by the pair 'hey Hun' my dad gave me a big hug, I was a daddy's girl really... 'Can I get you coffee? Breakfast?' 'Black coffee for me' said dad sitting down 'titty tea for me please' laughed my mum (NOTE: we call my mums tea 'titty tea' because she has it like hot milk, the tea bag is in and out of the cup so it just tints it). 'Okay' I smiled and began making the drinks, I brought them over placing them on the table, mum tried to stand up but the dogs were not having it.

As I poured the milk into my cup whippet came through the door....with a towel around his waist, walking up to me wrapping his arms around my waist hugging me tightly 'morning' he said low, morning voice. 'We have guests' I whispered 'who?' 'My parents...' I felt his heartbeat pace rise. We turned around slowly, my mum was gawping....she liked him too on the programme and home and away...my dad stood up 'brace yourself' I said quietly 'what? Why?' Before I had time to answer my dad stood infront of him, 'Ryan' he said holding out his hand 'Mark' my dad shook his hand, my dad didn't watch the programme so was clueless, my mum stood up and bear hugged him 'she has the biggest crush on you!' That's the best she could come up with?!....I drank out of my cup as they surrounded him asking him all questions when the sun hit my ring again, making the room shine 'whoa what's that?' My mum asked 'its me' I smiled not sure how she would react...'what how are you doing it?' I held up my left hand 'ahhhhhhhhhhh' she screamed highly and came running towards me hugging me tightly. 'What are doing?' My dad asked, he could be slow... 'Ive asked your daughter to marry me....sir' sir?? SIR?? What? My dad stood there looking from him to me 'right, 1 please don't ever call me sir...2 what's your job? 3 you love her?' Whip looked at me with a puzzled face....he stood up straight '1 okay 2 lifeguard 3 with all my heart' my dad nodded and smiled 'welcome to the nutter family!' 'Less of the nutter thankyou!' Me and my mum both said.

After a an hour of so whip went to get dressed 'you're engaged!' My dad said still smiling 'yep' I nodded 'when the date set for?' My mum continued 'in four months...' Dad choked on his coffee...'WHAT!?' 'Four months' I repeated 'why four months?' I then ended up telling them allll about whips mum and the venue and the date, they were happy enough. 'So how'd you meet?' My mum getting all excited 'at the airport' I smiled remembering that day, 'what you just bumped into each other?' Asked dad I nodded I was NOT telling them about the granny pants fiasco...'that wasn't how we met' whip said from behind me...shit. 'I found her granny pants' he paused 'and the rest of her suitcase' *facepalm moment AGAIN* 'you took your granny pants....to Australia?' I sighed and nodded my dad burst out in hysterics 'told you to get a new case!' My mum said 'yes mum you did, but if it hadn't have broke I wouldn't have met him' I smiled looking up, he smiled and kissed me 'I gotta go to work, be back in a bit' 'okay may come down to the beach' he smiled and walked out...

'Want to see my cafe?' 'You have a cafe?' I nodded excitedly. I locked the door and took them for a walk down to the cafe....'here we are!' 'WOW!' My mum gawped 'can I go in?' My dad asked 'nahhhhh stay out here' he pulled one of his looks and clipped me round the head like he used too when I was a kid 'well ask me a stupid question....get a stupid answer' I laughed we went in Em looked up from the counter, we weren't busy 'hey charlie' 'hey this is my dad Mark and my mum Rachel' 'hey she said again, I'm Emily part owner of the shop' 'hey' they replied 'it's absolutely gorgeous in here' my mum said looking around 'Charlie and Ryan decorated it' 'guess you're not like your mum then...she can't paint for her life' my mum hit him on the arm 'ignore him!' She laughed 'how long you guys here for then?' Em asked 'forever now, we've bought a house down the road and we were going to surprise Charlie but she ended up surprising us' she laughed 'ah brilliant!' em smiled 'I hope you have a great time here...what are you going to do today then?' 'Thought I'd take them to the beach for the day, check out the other lifeguards' I winked 'sounds brill have fun' we walked out the shop and walked to bondi...

'Omg there's rhino!' Mum squealed pointing to the buggy tearing down the beach we walked down to the lifeguard tower, mum was a massive fan of the show and had always been desperate to meet the guys...'we're going in there?' She said sounding very nervous 'yep, come on' I took her hand...and dads...and led them up the tower stairs...mouse, Kobi and Kerrbox were in the tower 'hey guysssss!' I shouted up 'Charlieeeee' Mouse shouted back 'you brought more cake!?' Box laughed 'no but I've brought parents' then we heard a lot of noise and things moving about, we walked into the room 'what areeee you doing?' 'Tidying up a lil' Kobi grinned 'so your Charlie's parents?' Box asked they nodded. mum had gone all quiet 'that's the quietest you've been all day!' Dad laughed 'shush!' He said quietly 'omg that's mouse' she whispered to me 'yeah....and?' 'Hes gorggggg' 'wanna hug?' 'What?' But I'd already asked him 'come here Charlie's mum!' He said with open arms, she walked over slowly and hugged him, he squeezed her tightly but then she didn't let go...'okay mum let him go......mum...muuuuum..MUM!!! MUM put him down!' 'Ooh sorry' she blushed and toddled back over to me 'I'm a hugger' mouse laughed 'yeah me too'. 'What no female lifeguards?!' Dad acted depressed 'nah mate we wish!' Said Kobi turning round in the chair 'we tried to get Charlie to join, but she just does the training with us' 'yep....I'm the alive person they treat and rescue' I giggled my dad nodded and walked over to the window, Kobi gave him a pair of binoculars and told him what to look for. My mum now sat near mouse asking every question under the sun made me laugh, I went over to box 'where's whip?' 'Just gone in to save a teenage girl' 'ah' I replied 'congrats on the engagement by the way' 'Ahhh thanks' I said roughing his hair

Box's radio crackled 'rhino to tower, gunna need resus' 'Charlie run down with the stuff!' I ran down grabbed the bag, and ran down the beach, it helped being as the sand was so hot so I ran faster to get away from it. I gave the bag to whip, the girl was laying there a few more guys had joined him drying her chest clearing her airways 'clear!' Whip shouted....nothing 'again! Come on! CLEAR' this time it worked she spluttered water and they rolled her into the recovery position...

Back at the tower they put her in the ambo and we came back into the tower with the guys 'bloody hell you're fast!' My dad said shocked 'the sand.....is bloody HOT!' The guys laughed 'it is NOT!' My dad said cockily 'off you go then' I said pointing to the door 'fine' he walked down and started walking on the sand he got to the front of the tower....he looked down at his feet, swearing, shouting, running round like a headless chicken, he ran back up the stairs 'thought it wasn't hot...' I asked 'okay it's slightly hot...' 'Uh huh!' I laughed....

We got back to the house, mum and dad went home, giving us hugs and kisses. I shut the door and turned to whip 'well...they seem lovely!' He smiled 'its only because you were there' I joked, 'I think I've got the venue for free...' 'What!?' He smiled and paused 'you know when I rescued that teen kid and brought her back?' 'Yeahhh I was thereeeee' 'well her dad owns the icebergs....' 'Oh right' I smiled 'well he asked if he could do anything in return? I said jokingly well if you have a wedding venue I'd have that for free' 'okay' 'and he said well you're in luck, I can throw you a wedding bash in the icebergs, free of charge everything included' he was smiling I welled up 'really!!?' He nodded I ran to him and hugged him tightly 'that's amazing' he squeezed me 'yeah it is!' 'Got a wedding dress yet?' 'Ha seriously....I haven't been out!' 'Tomorrow, go shopping with your nutcase mates' he giggled 'right okay...budget?' 'No budget but don't go crazy' 'hmm...can we write a list of everything we need tonight?' 'Yeah sure'

We had tea, and climbed into bed. I had a pen and paper, whip looked clueless, he was a man I suppose wedding planning wasn't his forte...'right you write ill list' 'right' I began to real off things...'invites, balloons, cakes, deco, suits, dress,' 'WHOA' 'what?' 'Invites...then what?' 'You only got invites?' He nodded I sighed 'gimme the pad' I began to write he then decided to say things...'strippers, pole dancing, alcohol' 'this is a wedding list....not a stag night list' he giggled and planted a kiss on me.
